  • Thailand: Falun Gong Performance at King's Birthday Celebration Canceled Due to CCP Interference

Falun Gong practitioners from Thailand prepared a performance for the gala of the 79th birthday of King Bhumibol, and were prepared to celebrate the holiday with the local people at the royal field, Sanam Luang. However, the organizers canceled their performance just prior to the gala.

On December 3, 2006, Mr. Pitoon, a local Falun Gong spokesperson, said that the organizers canceled their performance due to pressure exerted by the CCP Embassy. The police department said that they received orders from the office of Prime Minister to cancel the Falun Gong group's performance.

Mr. Pitoon pointed out that this is interference from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Falun Gong practitioners from Thailand have attended and performed at many activities. They demonstrate the beauty of Falun Gong to the Thai people and expose the CCP's brutal persecution of Falun Gong, which makes the CCP fear them. Mr. Pitoon said King Bhumibol's birthday is the most important holiday in Thailand, but the CCP doesn't respect it and interferes with it. The CCP has damaged the dignity of Thailand. Mr. Pitoon said that the CCP has interfered with Falun Gong practitioners' activities more than once. In fact it always tries to ruin practitioners' activities. Mr. Pitoon said, "I have contacted ITV for an interview, but the Chinese Embassy interfered there as well, so the interview was not aired."

One day before the celebration of the King's birthday, the CCP called the Falun Gong contact person and threatened him, telling him to not attend the gala.

General Yugtana, secretary of "The King of Thailand Birthplace Foundation," the royal organizer of the gala, said the Foundation was told not to get involved in politics and ruin Thailand's relationship with China. He said that the foundation is upset and will investigate this issue and report the investigation result to the higher organization.

Falun Gong practitioners pointed out that people have freedom of belief in Thailand and Falun Gong is legally established there. It is a violation of human rights that the CCP used the "relationship between China and Thailand" as justification for threats, and interfered with the celebration of the King's birthday. The CCP not only persecutes Falun Gong in China, but also tries to interfere with it overseas. Falun Gong practitioners condemn and protest the CCP's behavior and call upon international society to stop CCP crimes and to stop the persecution of Falun Gong.

Finnish Falun Gong Practitioners Send Letter to Singapore Government Protesting the Unjust Verdict

Having been shocked to learn that the Singapore Subordinate Court submitted to the pressure from the CCP, violated human rights, public opinions and the law, and found two Falun Gong practitioners, Ms. Ng Chye Huay and Mr. Erh Boon Tiong, guilty, and forced them to serve jail time for a peaceful protest in front of the Chinese Embassy, Finish Falun Gong practitioners expressed their deep concerns regarding this by sending a letter to the Singapore government and the judicial department to protest this unjust verdict against Falun Gong practitioners. They also hope that the Singapore authorities will consider the morality and justice of said actions seriously, withdraw the wrongful verdict, release the two Falun Gong practitioners with a verdict of not guilty, and restore their reputation. It is hoped that from now on the Singapore government will respect the basic rights and freedom of Falun Gong practitioners, no longer be manipulated by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and make correct choices for Singapore's bright future. The following is the translation of the original text of the letter:

We were shocked to learn that on November 28, 2006, the Singapore Subordinate Court resumed the hearing of the case "Falun Gong practitioners' protest in front of the Chinese Embassy" and the two Falun Gong practitioners, Ms. Ng Chye Huay and Mr. Erh Boon Tiong, were found guilty by the court on November 30, and the practitioners were sentenced to pay 1,500 and 1000 Singapore dollars respectively, or serve jail time of 15 days and 10 days respectively if they fail to pay the fines. Ng and Erh felt the trial process was seriously unfair, as the court refused to accept all the evidence from the defendants, and the testimonies from four witnesses. Ng and Erh immediately requested an appeal on the spot, but the judge decided to execute the verdict first before considering their appeals. At present, Ms. Ng Chye Huay and Mr. Erh Boon Tiong have been sent to Changi Women's Prison and Queenstown Remand Prison without bail.

This is a case that reveals the Singapore government and the judicial department's obvious violations of human rights, public opinion, and the law, as well as losing the sense of justice, following the unscrupulous CCP, and helping a tyrant to do evil.

Since July 20, 1999, when the CCP started the persecution of Falun Gong, it has been verified that at least nearly 3,000 Falun Gong practitioners have died as a result of persecution in Mainland China, nearly 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners have been illegally imprisoned in jails, labor camps, and brainwashing classes, and over 500 Falun Gong practitioners have been sentenced to imprisonment for over 18 years. The persecution methods include murder, over one hundred kinds of torture methods, rapes, nerve-damaging drug injections, spiritual persecution and so on. What is more disgusting is that the CCP harvests organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for profit and cremates their remaining bodies to destroy the evidence.

Over the past seven years, however, Falun Gong has spread to over 80 countries all over the world, and obtained over 1,400 awards from different countries. Falun Gong practitioners all over the world clarified the truth about the brutal persecution of Falun Gong and called for people's support of justice by means of banners, picture display boards, rallies, candlelight vigils, anti-torture exhibitions, press conferences, and art exhibits. Over the years, government officials, congressmen, NGOs, folk organizations as well as ordinary people from many western democratic countries supported Falun Gong and appealed for an end to the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong.

Contrastively, in the recent years, the Falun gong practitioners' cultivation environment in Singapore has become worse and worse along with the manipulations of the CCP behind the scenes. Not only are the group exercises and activities introducing Falun Gong interfered with and constricted, but the Singapore media are also cooperating with the CCP propaganda to slander Falun Gong. There have been repeated serious incidents such as the police arresting and charging Falun Gong practitioners with "illegal assembly" or "disruption of order."

This is incredible behavior against the world trend that the Singapore government conducts, while the CCP's crimes against humanity are being widely exposed and condemned by international society. It is in total disregard of the facts of the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong.

It is widely believed that Heaven will eliminate the CCP. Singapore's willful actions in being a companion with the CCP will bring disaster to the people of Singapore and the country, which is very unfortunate, but inevitable.

We oppose your unjust actions against Falun Gong practitioners, and we hope that the Singapore authorities will consider the morality and sense of justice seriously by releasing the Falun Gong practitioners with a verdict of not guilty, restoring their names, respecting Falun Gong practitioners' basic rights and freedom, no longer being manipulated by the CCP, thus making a correct choice for Singapore's bright future.

Japan: Falun Gong Practitioners Once Again Protest and Deliver a Letter to Singapore Ambassador

Falun Gong practitioners in Japan once again went to the Singapore Embassy on December 4, 2006 to protest the Singapore authorities' unfair verdict. The Japanese Falun Dafa Association wrote to the Singapore Ambassador in Japan to protest the Singapore authorities' illegal trial, and strongly request that Singapore authorities immediately release the two innocent Falun Gong practitioners.

Falun Gong practitioners in Japan protest in front of the Singapore Embassy in Japan

A representative of the Japanese Falun Dafa Association delivered a protest letter to the Singapore Embassy, and the embassy's reception office accepted the letter.

The protest letter stated that the verdict is absurd even according to Singapore law, and that the two Falun Gong practitioners had done nothing wrong. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has rampantly persecuted Falun Gong for seven years. The recently-exposed persecution has been as inhumane as harvesting vital organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, selling the harvested organs for profit, and cremating the murdered bodies to eliminate the evidence. Under such circumstances, the two Singapore Falun Gong practitioners were given such a verdict for their non-violent and peaceful protest. It is extremely absurd. We strongly request that the Singapore authorities not follow the CCP to persecute Falun Gong. With Falun Gong being free practiced in over 80 countries around the world, Singapore is the only country other than China that persecutes Falun Gong practitioners. We hope that Singapore authorities clearly learn that persecuting Falun Gong is wrong. We strongly request that Singapore authorities immediately release the two innocent Falun Gong practitioners, Ms. Ng Chye Huay and Mr. Erh Boon Tiong.
