  • Ms. Song Shuhua from Laishui County, Hebei Province Arrested Again

On November 28, 2006, Ms. Song Shuhua was illegally arrested a few days after returning home. She had been living on the streets to avoid persecution. Policemen from the local station broke into her house and arrested her again.

After 1:00 p.m. on November 28, 2006, Policeman Dai Chunjie from the Political Security Section of Laishui County Police Department and others from Mingyi Town, Laishui County, broke into Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Song Shuhua's house in Naiqiulan Village, Laishui County. At that time, only she and her 80-year-old father-in-law were at home. Ms. Song was arrested and detained at a detention center in Laishui County.

When Ms. Song's children learned about her arrest, they tried to send her a blanket, but the detention center staff did not allow her children to see her. They said that her family members must bring money to cover her living expenses; otherwise, they would not be able to see her. The children could not afford such a large sum of money, so they went home in tears.

Ms. Song and her family members have been subjected to frequent harassment from the county government, the Police Bureau of Laishui County, the Mingyi Town government and the police station since the persecution began on July 20, 1999. The harassment has created tremendous emotional pressure and brought a huge economic loss to her family. The authorities have extorted 4,900 yuan from Ms. Song's family.

Previously, Ms. Song was detained in Mingyi Town for 26 days. During this time, Wan Shujun, Liu Wei, Zhang Zhen, and He Honglei brutally tortured her. At around 10:00 p.m. one night in the spring of 2001, Zhang Zhen called Ms. Song to a room where there were over ten men waiting to torture her. Zhang Zhen tied Ms. Song up with a leather belt. Liu Wei started to beat her first with a fit of slaps. He wet a towel and stripped her upper body. He then ordered four other men to whip her with the wet towel. Liu Wei forced Ms. Song to kneel down on a stick and hold another stick over her head with both hands. He and the other four, each with a stick in hand, whacked hard on the stick she held. When she was dragged out of the room, her body was covered with wounds. The torture was unbearable.

At around 9:00 p.m. one evening in April 2004, officer He Honglei and others from Mingyi Town Police Station broke into Ms. Song's house and forcefully arrested her. Her daughter and son held each other and cried. They did not allow the policemen to take their mother away. They cried out, "Our Mom did not do anything against the law, what is your evidence to arrest her? Are you rational, are you policemen!" The policemen grabbed the children and tried to throw them into the police car. Ms. Song's daughter was held back by the crowd. Ms. Song and her son were taken to the Mingyi Town Government Bureau where Ms. Song was brutally tortured for a confession. The policemen beat her legs with wooden planks. Officer He Honglei tied her son to a tree and beat him with wooden sticks and slapped him. He is only a teenager.

In 2005, the authorities wanted to arrest Ms. Song again for exposing their evil deeds on the Minghui/Clearwisdom website. Ms. Song had to live on the streets to avoid being persecuted. She could not take care of her children or parents, and the farm work had to be done by her husband alone, who also works as a temporary employee out of town.

During the winter of 2006, to take of her father-in-law and children, Ms. Song went back home. A few days later, she was arrested by Dai Chunjie and other policemen.

A Family Brought Together and Torn Apart Again

Liu Huijia (her nickname is Xinzhu), 12 years old, is the daughter of Falun Gong practitioners Liu Hongwei and Yu Lixin. Shao Linyao is the son of Falun Gong practitioners Shao Hui and Mu Ping. Since July 20, 1999 when the persecution of Falun Gong began, time after time, Liu Jiahui and Shao Linyao faced not only separation from their parents, but also the possibility of becoming orphaned.

On May 13, 2002, Falun Gong practitioner Yu Lixin, Xinzhu's mother, from Jilin City was tortured to death at Jilin Province Hezuzi Women's Prison. In August 2002, Falun Gong practitioner Shao Hui (Shao Linyao's father) from Huadian was tortured to death at Jilin City. The children, Liu Jiahui and Shao Linyao, thus each lost the love from one of their parents. Shao Linyao has not been told that his father was tortured to death.

Liu Hongwei and Yu Lixin's daughter Liu Jiahui

Shao Hui and Mu Ping's son Shao Linyao

It was very difficult for Liu Jiahui to see her father, because agents from the National Security Bureau in Jilin Province and staff from the 610 Office searched for him everywhere during the past years. They even went to Xinzhu's school in an attempt to find her father. This has frightened and worried young Xinzhu deeply. Xinzhu often wonders, "Dad, when will you come to see me?" But knowing that all these people were looking for her father, waiting to arrest him, she shared her worries and anxieties with no one. She just hid in a corner and was sad, thinking, "Dad, please take care and be careful! Stay safe! This is my greatest wish."

From the time he was three years old, Shao Linyao experienced time after time the trauma of the police taking his parents away. He experienced loneliness, helplessness, being terrified and sadness because of missing his family. He suffered much pain in his heart. When his parents were illegally arrested the first time, Shao Linyao cried all the time. Since he was a mature child, he didn't cry loudly, but he kept wiping his eyes in secret. In the evening, when he went to bed, he covered himself with a blanket. He can't remember how often he woke up crying. One time, he went with his grandmother, uncle and aunt to visit his mother at the forced labor camp. He thought that they would pick up his mother. When he didn't see his mother in the car as they were leaving, he cried hard. He asked his grandmother unhappily why she didn't try her best to get his mother released. He was a well-behaved child, but this time, no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't stop him from crying. He cried during the entire four-hour trip. By the time they reached home, he had lost his voice. At daycare, he often couldn't help crying. When the teacher asked him why, he said that his parents were suffering at the forced labor camp, and the guards shocked them with electric batons.

Mu Ping, who had been tortured for close to three years at the forced labor camp, was released on bail and allowed to go home. Shao Linyao never left his mother's side, because he was so afraid of losing her again. He didn't want to go to bed until his mother came home after having gone out. He just sat there until she came home. When his mother told him that he had to go to bed earlier, since he had to go to school the next day, he said tearfully, "I was so afraid that you were arrested again by the bad people. If you don't come back, I can't calm down."

The persecution has wounded two children's hearts to different degrees. Due to the similarity of their experiences, Liu Hongwei's and Mu Ping's families became one family. Liu Hongwei and Mu Ping went to Changchun City, where they found jobs and settled down. On October 24, 2006,  Jilin City National Security Bureau arrested Liu Hongwei and Mu Ping at their workplace. The agents teamed up with the policemen from Mengjiatun Police Station in Chaoyang District, Changchun City and ransacked their home. They confiscated a laptop, cash, a deposit book with 70,000 yuan, Falun Gong books and truth-clarification materials. The practitioners were taken to Jilin City Detention Center the next day. Liu Hongwei is detained in in Cell 101, and Mu Ping in Cell 608.

When their family learned that the National Security Bureau arrested Mr. Liu and Ms. Mu, they immediately called to inquire about it. The Staffs from the National Security Bureau pretended not to know anything. They claimed that they didn't know where they were. They even asked the family how they came to know about it. The family insisted to be told the truth, so the staff from the National Security Bureau finally admitted to the arrest.

After staff from the National Security Bureau confiscated Mu Ping's bank deposit book, they went to the Huadian Construction Bank and instructed the bank to freeze Mu Ping's 70,000 yuan savings. When her family went to the bank to withdraw the money, they found that the bank account was frozen.

Liu Hongwei and Mu Ping are separated from their families again. Mu Ping's 76-year-old mother, hurt deeply, suffered a relapse of her heart disease. Liu Hongwei's 64-year-old mother went to the National Security Bureau in Jilin City to ask for her son's release. The National Security Bureau claimed that they had to attend a meeting. They just didn't want to meet her. After much effort, she was able to meet with the division director Lin from the National Security Bureau who told her that she couldn't see her son. The elderly lady had to hold back her tears when she asked Lin, "What on earth did my son do wrong? Our family has lost one person, now you arrested my son; you don't want us to live, do you? My grandson has nobody to look after him."

Mu Ping was tortured inhumanly at Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp. The guards from Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp didn't release her until she was close to death. No one in her family thought that she would survive. They took her to the hospital for special care. But because of practicing Falun Gong, she regained her health after some time, though she remained quite weak. Her family is very concerned about her health.

This persecution of good people who believe in "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance," is unprecedented in history. The mental pain of family members and children is more brutal than physical torture. After Yu Lixin was persecuted to death, Liu Hongwei was still detained at Changchun Chaoyanggao Forced Labor Camp. When his mother went to the forced labor camp with the hope of having her grandson see his father, her request was turned down.

Liu Hongwei and Mu Ping are still detained. The elderly mother is on the brink of a mental collapse. The children have not been told of the latest arrest of their parents.

Family Members Not Allowed to Visit Ms. Liu Hongxia in Froced Labor Camp, Because She Does Not Submit to Brainwashing

Falun Gong practitioner Liu Hongxia in Jilin Province has already been detained in the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City for four months. Every Tuesday is her visitation day. Her family has only been allowed to meet with her twice since she has been detained there. When her family inquired as to the reason for this, the response from the forced labor camp was that Liu Hongxia was not brainwashed and was being closely monitored, so nobody could meet with her. After one month, when her family asked to meet with her again, the forced labor camp refused their request again, stating that they were Falun Gong practitioners. When the family members explained that they were not Falun Gong practitioners, the forced labor camp still refused them, and said they had extended the monitoring period by another two months. Although her family went to see her every week, they were refused every time by the forced labor camp, with all kinds of reasons. For more than two months, Liu Hongxia's family members had not met with her, and they were very anxious about her. On November 14, they went to the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp and asked to meet with her again.

Her family members went to the reception room of the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City, finished the procedure and waited to meet with her. After more than one hour, they still had not seen Liu Hongxia. Her family members asked the guard who was responsible for check-ins. The guard made a call and then told them that Liu Hongxia was not allowed to meet with them. They asked why, but the guard said it was a rule, and that they could further discuss the situation with his supervisors. They proceeded to the superintendent's office in the forced labor camp.

The family members were blocked by the gate guard. They said they would like to see the superintendent of the forced labor camp. One female guard asked, "Why do you want to see the superintendent?" They said they would like to offer some suggestions and ask why they were not allowed to meet with Liu Hongxia. The guard said that these kinds of issues did not require the approval of the superintendent and that she would contact the leader of the second team, Ren Feng. They got through to Ren Feng, and on the phone, the family members told him about the situation and asked to meet with Liu Hongxia. Ren Feng said, "Liu Hongxia did not write the five statements, and did not give up Falun Gong. She is now being closely monitored and nobody can see her." Her family members said, "It is legal for us to meet with Liu Hongxia, and we must meet with her." Ren Feng said, "We do things according to the rules. Liu Hongxia has not met the requirements, so you can not meet with her." Her family members said, "What kind of rule is it that Falun Gong practitioners cannot be met with if they are not brainwashed? Is there any legal documentation for this? Please take us there and let us have a look." Ren Feng said, "There is no need to let you see it. We said you could not meet with her, so you can't." Ren Feng hung up. Her family members asked to see the superintendent, but the guard said, "You cannot see the superintendent, he is not in charge of this kind of situation." Her family members asked, "What is the superintendent in charge of then?" One male guard said, "The superintendent is in charge of the guards, not the affairs of the detainees." Her family member said, "Not letting us to visit our family members violates the regulation of the police department." The guard said, "You can sue us anywhere you want." Her family members demanded to see Section Leader Lian to report the situation. After they got through to him on the phone, he refused to see them. The family members had not seen the leaders even by lunch time.

In the afternoon, the family members came to the forced labor camp again. They saw the leader of the Second Team, Ren Feng. They asked again to meet with Liu Hongxia and left her some winter clothes and shoes. Ren Feng refused immediately. The family members were anxious about Liu Hongxia's health and did not know if she was being persecuted. Ren Feng said, "Do not worry! We do not beat or insult the detainees, they are all very well here!" When Liu Hongxia's mother said she was shocked by electric batons and punished physically, the female guard Liu beside Ren Feng said, "She must be wrong, and did not like to cooperate with us, or she would not have been beaten." No matter how her family members asked them, the results were all refusals. They could not enter the gate of the forced labor camp by requesting to meet with the superintendent.

Suspicious Physical Check-ups and Blood Tests in Beijing Women's Labor Camp

In 2003, I was arrested in Beijing when clarifying the truth, and sentenced to two years of forced labor, served at the Beijing Women's Labor Camp.

As soon as I entered the camp, drug-addicted prisoners were assigned to closely watch over me, forcing me to sit straight for 16 hours per day, and not allowing me to talk or use the toilet. I was forced to stand for long periods of time, not allowing me to sleep or to drink water. We were forced to watch slanderous videos and to read slanderous articles. There existed all sorts of monitoring systems for Falun Gong practitioners, such as small group, large group, or solitary monitoring. Practitioners who were very solid, and who refused to write any "confessions" were sent to the strictly controlled section, where they were tortured very brutally.

On the surface, the Beijing Women's Labor Camp is like school, very clean and tidy, since we cleaned it every day. There is fitness equipment on display for visitors. Every time visitors came, guards would hide Falun Gong practitioners for fear of them speaking out the truth, and arranged some prisoners to put up a false face depicting good conditions in the camp.

After being released from the camp, I was shocked to read the reports about the Communist Party's live harvesting of practitioners' organs for profit! I immediately recalled the physicals we were forced to undergo two to three times a year inside the camp. They may have been for organ harvesting purposes. They gave me three major physicals when I was at the camp in less than two years. The physicals were conducted at the Tiantanghe Hospital. They would always test our blood as well, telling us the purpose was to "check for hepatitis." The guards told us, "See how your government cares about your health! It has spent so much money to check your physical health." Other prisoners would say, "They only care about you Falun Gong practitioners, as they only do blood work for you." Once they said they needed "donated blood," they took mostly Falun Gong practitioners, and also used some drug addict prisoners.

I wondered why they wanted blood from drug addicts. I now realize that they were trying to hide the facts of their true purpose. There were two times when they were after Falun Gong practitioners to have their blood drawn. Several young practitioners were told their "blood tests had problems," and they drew more blood a few days later. I also witnessed twice, the camp administration transferred Falun Gong practitioners during the middle of the night. The chosen practitioners were not from the local area, and no one knows where they are now.

The above is what I personally witnessed related to the CCP's organ harvesting atrocities.

The Crimes Committed By the 610 Office in Dongxihu District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province

The 610 Office located in Dongxihu District, Wuhan City, in collusion with the police, the judiciary system, and the residence committee, has been arresting and persecuting Falun Gong practitioners for the last seven years. The methods they use are:

    1. Monitoring Residences

Falun Gong practitioners and their relatives are forced to report regularly by phone to the police station. Their homes are visited during sensitive dates and they are urged to attend to matters needing attention. There are inquiries made into the practitioners' personal lives and they are forbidden from contacting each other, to appeal, or to distribute truth clarifying materials.

    2. Brainwashing Sessions Established

Under direct orders from the 610 Office, the Dongxihu District arranged over a dozen brainwashing sessions and arrested many Falun Gong practitioners who went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. These practitioners were sending out truth material and clarifying the truth. The brainwashing sessions were arranged under direct orders from the 610 Office. All judiciary procedures were bypassed and Falun Gong practitioners were arrested, jailed, and their personal liberties were totally denied. These brainwashing sessions were falsely called "study classes" and the place where they were held a "Legal Education Center."

Some practitioners in the brainwashing sessions were arrested at work or at home, some were deceived by being asked to meet for "a talk," and some were illegally detained and transferred. During the last seven years, the Dongxihu District arranged over a dozen series of brainwashing sessions, the locations of which were in the weather station, sand factory, police academy, party school (i.e. Communist member party school), Sandian and other places. Currently, the Falun Gong practitioners arrested are sent to the Jiaokou brainwashing center or the Chenjiaji brainwashing center.

The brainwashing session has its own working system. It starts with "transformation." "Transformation" is to break down your faith, and strangle you mentally and spiritually, which is part of the policy of attempting to completely eradicate and eliminate Falun Gong practitioners.

The officials running the brainwashing sessions claim that they use the "spring breeze turns into rain" or "transformation education" methods. The "education helpers" deceive the relatives of the Falun Gong practitioners by telling them that the practitioners eat well, sleep soundly and enjoy their stays. In reality the "education helpers" do not want to stay there, their false statements are mere attempts to cover the secret brutal persecution. They deceive and force the practitioners to listen to material defaming Falun Gong. They do not allow the practitioners to speak about any of the benefits they experience after practicing Falun Gong.

New arrivals are lectured by the collaborators (who used to practice Falun Gong and later betrayed Falun Gong) day and night. Many words the collaborators say are untrue or distorted facts. They develop different methods for different practitioners. If a practitioner cooperated during the "transformation," they relax their attitude and appear attentive to the practitioner. They will lie and use hypocrisy to lure the practitioner. If the practitioner refuses to "transform," they will think that he/she is stubborn and intensify the "transformation." A common method is called "harassing warfare" in which several persons take turns to fight one opponent to tire him out. They have many ways to devastate the practitioners such as depriving them of sleep for many days and nights, forcing them to stand for long periods, cursing, beating, solitary confinement, hanging up with handcuffs, and poisoning their food with drugs. When some practitioners tasted the medicine in their food and asked the staff, the staff evaded the questions. The purpose of all these methods is to put the practitioners into a state of delirium so that it will be easier to "transform" them. For all those who refuse to be "transformed," their workplaces receive orders to stop their salaries or lay them off. The brainwashing sessions also deceive the relatives of practitioners by having them weep and wail, curse, kneel on the ground begging the practitioners for mercy, or threaten the practitioners with divorce. Many practitioners were unable to handle the mental and physical torment and wrote three statements against their will. This is so-called "transformation." After the practitioner is released from the brainwashing session, the 610 Office will extort fines from the practitioner's family and his or her workplace.

    3. Sentencing to Labor Camp or Prison

For all practitioners who firmly believe in Falun Gong and refuse to be "transformed," the 610 Office officials will fabricate an "accusation" at will, raid their homes, confiscate their Falun Gong books and materials, and sentence them to the labor camp or prisons because they have Falun Gong books and materials. Even though the practitioners are unwilling to accept a ruling, they receive no legal assistance of any kind.

Mr. Lin Shixiong from Yanji City, Jilin Province Died as a Result of Persecution

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Lin Shixiong, age 46, was from Yanji City, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province. Not long after the persecution began, Lin Shixiong peacefully appealed for justice for Falun Gong. He wrote a public letter addressed to the mayor of Yanji. For that, he was illegally put into a labor camp for one year. In 2002, two years after the Yanji City National Security Group sent him to the Yanji Detention Center, the National Security Group enforcers illegally sentenced him to 13 years in prison with fabricated charges. Mr. Lin was sent to the Jilin Prison.

When Lin Shixiong had been tortured to the point of death, the prison released him on "medical parole." Under the evil Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s long and terrifying persecution, Lin Shixiong passed away around November 20, 2006. His funeral took place on November 21. Following are details.

Lin Shixiong was a manager of the Mitsubishi Repair Center in Yanji City, Jilin Province. He had a happy family and a career many people admired. However, during the seven-year persecution, he almost lost everything he owned. The CCP regime sentenced him to thirteen years in prison with fabricated charges. When he was confined in the Jilin Prison, he was forced to give up the management rights of the factory he had built from scratch, was made to divorce his wife and gave up custody of his child.

On July 20, 1999, under fabricated charges, the CCP regime initiated a persecution policy in regards to Falun Gong, mandating "ruin [practitioner's] reputations, bankrupt [practitioners] financially, and destroy [practitioners] physically," and "beating to death is counted as suicide." Lin Shixiong appealed peacefully for justice. He wrote an open letter to the mayor of Yanji. Expressing one's opinion to the government is a right that every citizen should have. But the CCP officials branded him as "disturbing the social order."

Officers from the Yanji City National Security Group sold their souls and conscience for self-interest. They followed orders that didn't have any legal foundation and sent Lin Shixiong to a forced labor camp for one year. During his stay there, the CCP officials compelled him to undergo an educational process for "confession" and forced labor. Those activities shouldn't even exist or be accepted by anyone in the first place.

Mr. Lin was released in 2002. He continued to publicly clarify the truth about Falun Gong. Unfortunately, in 2002, Lin Shixiong was once again arrested and sent to Yanji City. The Yanji City National Security Group confined him in the Yanji Detention Center for almost two years. Then they sentenced Lin Shixiong thirteen years in prison on fabricated charges and delivered him to the Jilin Prison.

Mr. Lin suffered irreparable mental and physical trauma in the Jilin Prison. This was brought about by long-term inhuman treatment, harsh living conditions, and mental and physical torture ordered by the CCP. All Falun Gong practitioners had to suffer the treatment that Mr. Lin Shixiong was subjected to. His condition deteriorated day by day. When he was found to have tuberculosis, his condition was severe enough to have him stay in a hospital for long-term care. However, Jilin Prison still refused to release him.

Meanwhile, Lin Shixiong was forced to divorce his wife. His condition deteriorated quickly and he was at death's door. Jilin Prison officials had to let Lin Shixiong go home with his family's guarantee, so he could be nursed at home.

By this time, Lin Shixiong had nothing left. All he had was a body that couldn't take care of itself a result of the persecution.

However, Jilin Prison and Yanji City's Political and Judicial Committee still wouldn't let go of Lin Shixiong. They often harassed him with the excuse of his incomplete jail term. Because of their frequent harassment, Lin Shixiong suffered great mental pressure. He was unable to nurse his health at home in peace. He passed away around November 20, 2006 at home.
