Case Description:

53-year-old Bai Hong used to work in the Quanyechang Clinic in Heping District, Tianjin City. In the winter of 2002, she was illegally sentenced to labor education for her practice of Falun Gong. While being detained at the Banqiao Women's Labor Camp in Tianjin, she persisted in her belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance. In mid-November 2002, policewomen Kou Na and Gao Huachao led drug addicts to beat her savagely on many occasions. They stripped her off her clothes at night and threw her into a pig pen. After a while, they took her out, wrapped her head with cloths and started to shock her with electric batons. A while later, Kou Na removed the cloths from her head and showed her a square box, telling her that was a new brand of electrical shocking equipment. Then Kou covered her head again and continued the electric shock.

Bai Hong went on a hunger strike to protest the torture. The police tied her four limbs up to a bed. At night, they dragged her out and brought her to a 2-meter-wide passageway in between two buildings. There were several cement boards in the passageway. They removed all of her clothes and forced her to lie on the cold cement boards. They also fanned her clothes causing cold air to blow on her, making her suffer even more.

They later pushed her to the front of the dog cage, threatening to jail her together with a dog. All these humiliations and tortures brought tremendous damage to her both mentally and physically.

Not long after, Bai Hong was on the verge of death. Not wanting to take any responsibility, the labor camp sent her home. She passed away soon after returning home.
