At present, for every disciple both inside and outside of China, clarifying the truth of Falun Gong to people around the world is the most important task in "assisting the teacher in the human world".

Promoting Falun Dafa on Saipan Island on the July 20 Anniversary (7/23/00) 

July 20 is an unforgettable day for us. In the past year, our fellow practitioners in China used their lives creating opportunities for overseas practitioners to promote Falun Dafa. They were steadfast and unyielding to the government power and authorities, but still persevered the truth. Their great compassion and forbearance are praised and admired by many people.  

Currently, the most important thing for our overseas practitioners  "assisting our Teacher in the human world" is to tell people the truth.  Saipan Island has about 10,000 Chinese; most of them are workers in clothing factories. Many of them are from Mainland China and have received false propaganda from the Chinese government, so they had misunderstandings about Falun Dafa. So, we decided to make 2,000 copies of the newspaper "The Truth of Falun Gong" and "Peaceful Journey of Falun Gong" in Chinese. We had contacted several publishing companies, but the charge was quite expensive, finally we found a Philippine company. We told them about the brutal suppression of Falun Gong practitioners in China, and that we were going to pay for the cost of printing these newspapers by ourselves in order to tell the truth. The newspapers were going to be distributed to people for free. In the end, the manager’s heart was moved and promised us the lowest price.  This price was the same as printing black-white newspapers at other companies, but we received colored front and back pages from this company. We understood that this is the power of Falun Dafa, what we were doing was only to comply with the climatic change, and we were also happy for the manager's righteous thought. We have sent out a large number of newspapers to Chinese stores and factories, which has gradually invoked great responses among Chinese. Many people were talking about this issue. Some showed us support. Some did not treat us the way as before, and started to think about Falun Gong from another aspect. Phone calls for Falun Dafa information kept flowing in.  

There is a market every Thursday night in the Garapa tourist area. Coincidently, this July 20th was a Thursday. We decided to use this chance to promote Falun Dafa among the people there. We printed several thousand flyers in English, Chinese and Japanese with the lowest price offered by the same publishing company. On that day, a dozen practitioners rushed there after work, some gave up the chance to make money working overtime and some came without having supper. We happened to find that a practitioner had rented one booth there, so we took advantage of that booth, repeatedly playing the video "Falun Gong --The Real Story ", and displayed pictures showing how the practitioners in China safeguarded Falun Dafa in Tiananmen Square and were persecuted for this. Many people stopped to watch the video. Some practitioners distributed flyers at every intersection, to every booth and every store. Before long, many people had the light-yellow colored flyers in their hands, some of them read it at once and some asked us about Falun Dafa. Many people also stopped to watch some practitioners practicing the sitting meditation in turns at the booth.  

The effect of this type of Falun Dafa promotion worked quite well, several hundred flyers were distributed in one night, so we have decided to promote Falun Dafa at this market every Thursday. We have the chance to cultivate and practice in this historical moment because of Teacher's great benevolence. Teacher has done many things for us, we could never repay Teacher. What we should do is make further advances vigorously and diligently until achievement of the consummation!
