[Hebei] Officials in Yutian County viciously slandered Falun Gong and abused practitioner in psychiatric hospital

In August 1999, Li Suozhu, a worker from the Nancang Coal Mine of Yutian County was arrested for robbery. In order to avoid being prosecuted, he falsely claimed that he committed robbery because he practiced Falun Gong. In fact, he never practiced Falun Gong at all. Then the local communist officials reported his case to higher authorities in order to fish political capital. The CCTV (Chinese Central TV) then broadcasted this fabricated case to the whole country in order to defame Falun Gong.

Mr. Liu Jianli, a Falun Gong practitioner who worked in the same work unit as Li Suozhu, reported the facts to the authorities to clarify the case, but nobody would listen to him. Without any other channels to make his voice known, Mr. Liu went to Beijing Tiananmen Square on August 29, 1999. With a small loudspeaker, he clarified the truth to the tourists near the monument. Before long, he was arrested.

To prevent practitioners from going to Beijing to appeal, the communist regime ordered the local officials to control the practitioners in their workplaces. If a practitioner went to Beijing to appeal, the officials of the practitioner's workplace would be criticized and punished by higher authorities. To avoid the punishment, the communist officials of Mr. Liu's workplace falsely reported that Mr. Liu was mentally ill, and threw him into the Mental Hospital of Tangshan City. Mr. Liu was forced to take medicines and injections with gradually increasing dosages. In the end, Mr. Liu could hardly walk after being abused in the hospital, although he had been completely healthy before that.

[Mainland] Watch out for spies

Recently, some spies pretending to be determined practitioners have started their activities. They pretended to have been detained several times. Then they would claimed that they have reached consummation, and urge practitioners to follow them to write the pledges to recant, surrender the Falun Dafa books, and stop studying the books and stop practicing the exercises. Their main targets are those detained practitioners, although some are also causing confusions outside jails. Although the spies have made up many "deep principles", it was obvious that they are trying to mislead practitioners and undermine their cultivations.

[Beijing] Pinggu officials brutally suppressed practitioners after Ms. Gong Baohua's death

After Ms. Gong Baohua, a practitioner from Pinggu County of Beijing City, was persecuted to death, the local authorities tried to cover up the truth and threatened the family members of Ms. Gong. They also persecuted those practitioners who attempted to seek justice for Ms. Gong.

On June 19, 2000, a dozen people including the family members of Ms. Gong went to the County Procuratorate to report Ms. Gong's case and to request to file a lawsuit against the police officers involved in this case. However, Xing Yansong and Liu Weili from Yandong Village and Wang Shuping from Hudian Village were arrested by the Police Department. Xing Yangsong was later sentenced to one year of forced labor without going through any legal procedures. Even the family members of Xing didn't receive any notice of Xing's sentence. Xing Yangsong is now detained in the Tuanhe Labor Camp of Daxing County.

[Beijing] The persecutions against practitioners in Beijing Agriculture University

Zhang Wenge, a faculty member in the College of Electronic Power Engineering (Ph.D., Chinese Academy of Science), was arrested on April 24, 2000. His dorm was ransacked. He had appealed for Falun Gong many times. He was sentenced to one year of forced labor, and is now detained in the Daxing County.

Su Chengbin, a student from the College of Electronic Power Engineering, was expelled from school for practicing Falun Gong exercises on campus in early June.

Tan Nansheng, a student from the College of Management Engineering, was forced to withdraw from school for one year because he practiced Falun Gong exercises on campus at the beginning of June.

Liao Xiaohui, a student from the Department of Trade of the College of Management Engineering, was forced to withdraw from school for one year because he practiced Falun Gong exercises on campus in early June.

Tang Haibin, a junior, was forced to quit the school for one year for practicing Falun Gong exercises on campus.

Zhou Xiaojun, a student from 995 class, was forced to quit the school for one year for practicing Falun Gong exercises on campus.

There is another student who was forced to quit the school for the same reason. Still another student disappeared.

[Hebei] A practitioner from Hebei was brutally tortured in Weifang City of Shandong Province

A female practitioner from Shijiazhuang City of Hebei Province went to Beijing Tiananmen Square to defend the righteousness of Falun Dafa. Because she refused to tell the police her name and where she came from, she was sent to Weifang City of Shandong Province for further interrogation.

After torturing this practitioner brutally, the local police cuffed the two hands of the practitioner together, and forcefully kick the practitioner's legs, which caused extreme pain to the practitioner. Later, an officer stepped one foot on the back of the practitioner, then held her hair, and forcefully pulled back. The practitioner almost lost her breath. Later, they burned two cigarettes, and stuffed them into the nostrils of the practitioner. After that, they burned the practitioner's face with the heads of the cigarettes.

The communist officials in Weifang City were notorious for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Ms. Chen Zhixiu, whose case was reported by Wall Street Journal, was tortured to death by officials in Weifang City.
