Female Falun Dafa Practitioner in Harbin's Wanjia Labor Camp Thrown into Male Cell and Gang-raped

The guards at the labor camp used every means imaginable to torture Falun Gong practitioners. They asked us to write statements renouncing Dafa. When we refused, they punched and kicked us. The most unforgivable act occurred when several guards threw a female practitioner into a male cell, where three inmates gang-raped her.

Another Incidence of Large Scale Deaths Due to Torture Takes Place in the Shijiazhuang Labor Camp

7/16/01 (Falun Dafa Information Center) According to reliable sources, the Shijiazhuang Labor Camp in Hebei Province has resorted to intensive violence against Falun Gong practitioners in recent months, which has led to many deaths by the end of June.

RFA: China's Vice Premier Li Lanqing Attempts to Use China's Successful Olympics Bid to Prove the Persecution of Falun Gong is Justified

(Falun Dafa Information Center) Despite the international community' hopes that China' winning of the Olympics bid would improve its human rights record, China' Vice Premier Li Lanqing emphasized on Monday, July 15 that the government would continue persecuting Falun Gong, according to an RFA report from Beijing. These were the words of Li Lanqing as he visited an anti-Falun Gong exhibition that opened on July 15 in Beijing' Military Museum. He also said that Beijing' winning bid to host the Olympics proved that China' social stability had received international recognition. "Li Lanqing used the winning of the Olympics bid to prove the persecution of Falun Gong is justified," RFA reported.

BBC Monitoring: Falun spokesman in Hong Kong fears Olympics a "license to kill"

The Falun Gong' main spokesman in Hong Kong says he hopes the International Olympic Committee' decision to hold the 2008 games in Beijing will not be interpreted by the central government' leaders as a license to kill. But Kan Hung-cheung, speaking during a forum at the Foreign Correspondents' Club, also said that as Chinese compatriots, the group' members were pleased that China would have a chance to host the event.
