Dafa practitioner Mr. Wu Yuangu, an excellent teacher of the Beilu Middle School told his students the truth of the Tiananmen Self-Immolation and told them how to be good people, but a parent of one of his students who was deceived by the government propaganda reported him to the police. On August 14, lawless policemen from the Beilu Police Precinct arrested him in a shopping area and sent him to Lingyuan City's Detention Center for persecution.

On the night of August 28, 2002, a materials site in Yushu City was destroyed. The police arrested about seven or eight Dafa practitioners and sent them to Changchun City the same night. The reasons why the police found this place are unknown but perhaps were related to a cell-phone surveillance system.

A guard named Zhu led several soldiers to brutally beat Dafa practitioners in the Huangyang Forced Labor Camp of Chengdu City's Military Area. Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhou Lin was severely wounded. But he was still handcuffed behind his back. One hour later he lost consciousness. Although his nose was broken, the guards neither provided treatment for him nor informed his family. They just shifted their responsibilities for the offense and intended to cover up the truth.

[Xiantao City, Hubei Province] Arrest and Plight of Dafa Practitioners Mr. Xiao Hongbin and Mr. Zhou Hongcai

On around August 22, 2002, Dafa practitioner Xiao Hongbin and Zhou Hongcai were arrested. Practitioner Xiao Hongbin, over 30 years old, is an employee at Xiantao City's Blanket Factory. Zhou Hongcai is over 20 years old. A vile person reported them to police when they were distributing Dafa truth-clarifying materials in the Guohe suburb of Xiantao City. They were detained at Xiantao City's No. 1 Detention Center. To protest the persecution, they have been on a hunger strike. Officials in Xiantao City's National Security Division and the detention center instigated prisoners to brutally beat and torture the two practitioners. Prisoners burned the practitioners' faces with lit cigarettes. Because the police are blocking the news, the detailed information is unknown.

[Hongjiang City, Hunan Province] The Tribulation of Dafa Practitioner Mr. Liao Kairun

In September of 2001, Dafa practitioner Liao Kairun from Anjiang Town Hongjiang City/Hunan Province unfurled a Dafa banner in Tiananmen Square. Afterwards, he was arrested, taken back home and illegally sentenced to a stay in a forced labor camp. After a nine-day hunger strike, he was put on the "dead person's bed" [The four limbs of the practitioner are stretched out and tied to the four corners of an icy-cold metal bed. The practitioner cannot move at all. Neither is he allowed to get up to eat, drink, or go to the bathroom). This cruel torture treatment would last from several hours up to more than a twelve days and causes severe damage to the practitioner, both mentally and physically. During the hunger strike, he was brutally force-fed but then released after his health declined. In January 2002, he was arrested again when he was clarifying the truth and doing Fa-rectification work. He was illegally sentenced to 2-1/2 years of forced labor at Changsha City's Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp, as did another ten practitioners.

[Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Arrest of Over 100 Practitioners at a Dafa Experience Sharing Conference

On the morning of August 24, 2002, over 100 practitioners were arrested at Deyang City, Sichuan Province when they were holding an experience sharing conference. The police tortured practitioners. They handcuffed some practitioners to trees, abused and beat some others practitioners. There are still dozens of practitioners in jail. Dafa practitioners firmly protest the vicious persecution.

[Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Illegal Forced Labor Camp Sentence of Dafa Practitioners Ms. Mi Jin'ai, Ms. Jiang Xianji, Ms. Fan Anmei and Others

Female Dafa practitioners Mi Jin'ai, Jiang Xianji, Fan Anmei and Yang Chunlan from the Hecheng area of Huaihua City/Hunan Province were arrested when they were clarifying the truth. They were illegally detained for three months. On August 7, they were sent to the Baimalong Female Forced Labor Camp. Yang Chunlan among them was rejected because of her poor health.

In 2002, officials from Hongjiang City's Police Department and from the "610 Office" arrested Dafa practitioner Ms. Liao Youxiang from Wulumuqi City, Xinjiang Autonomous Region and detained her at Hongjiang City's Detention Center when she was at her hometown in Hunan Province. [Note: The "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falaun Gong, with absolute powers over each level of administration the Party and all other political and judiciary systems]. On the Chinese New Year's Day of 2002, she was illegally sentenced to a year of forced labor. The labor camp rejected her because of hyperthyroidism and heart disease, but officials from Hongjiang City's "610 Office" refused to release her and continued to detain her till her life was in critical danger. On April 16, 2002, in collusion with Hongjiang City's "610 Office," personnel from Wulumuqi City's Police Department entrapped her husband, also a practitioner, at his hometown in Hunan Province, detained him at Wulumuqi City's Xishan Detention Center for eight months and extorted over ten thousand Yuan [500 Yuan is average monthly income in urban areas of China; in rural areas it is only 200 Yuan] from him before he was released. Additionally, their work unit illegally deducted their retirement wage. Now the three members of the family, including older than 2-year-old child are forced to live in exile.

Ms. Fu YuefenüC55 years old, was first arrested when she appealed in December 1999 and detained for over two months. In August 2000, she was arrested for the second time for writing a letter to the personnel of a police department to clarify the truth and was sentenced to one year of forced labor.

Ms. Zhou Chengshu, 35 years old, was first arrested when she appealed in December 1999 and detained for over four months. In May 2000, she was arrested for the second time when she appealed again and sentenced to two years of forced labor. In March 2002, she was once again arrested for no reason and was beaten up.

Ms. Wang Mingying, 35 years old, was first arrested when she appealed in December 1999 and detained for over three months. In May 2000, she was arrested for the second time when she appealed again and sentenced to 1.5 years of forced labor. In December 2001, she was arrested for the third time for writing a letter to clarify the truth. She was released after a 7-day hunger strike at a detention center.. In 2002, she was arrested the fourth time for distributing truth-clarifying materials.

Ms. Feng Dabi, 63 years old, was arrested in 2002 and detained over a month. In April 2002, she was arrested again and sentenced to 1.5 years of forced labor.

Ms. Wang Mingzhong, 56 years old, was first arrested when she appealed in January 2001 and detained for over a month. In April 2002, she was arrested for the second time and detained over a month. In June 2002, she was arrested for the third time and sentenced to two years forced labor.

Ms. Yang Yongxiu, 56 years old, was first arrested when she appealed in August 2002 and sentenced to one year of forced labor. In December 2001, she was arrested for the second time and detained 15 days.

Mr. Wu ShengüC32 years old, was arrested for appealing in October 2001 and sentenced to two years of forced labor.

Mr. Tan Zhouping, 37 years old, was arrested for appealing in December 1999. He was put into handcuffs used for death penalty criminals for over 20 days and sentenced to one year of forced labor.

Mr. Zhang Guangqing, 63 years old, was first arrested when he appealed in December 1999. In March 2001, he was again arrested for clarifying the truth to people and sentenced to one year of forced labor. He was tortured to death in the forced labor camp. (Minghui. Net reported his case before)

[Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Dafa Practitioner Tian Yu is Sent to Detention Center by Factory Director for Taking Down Dafa-Defaming Slogans

In order to prevent people from being poisoned by the vicious propaganda, Dafa practitioner Tian Yu from the Carbinol Factory of the Daqing Oil Field took down a Dafa-defaming slogan posted in the factory. The director of the factory thus forcibly sent Tian Yu to Daqing City's Detention Center despite the practitioner's clarifying the truth to him/her.
