Photo taken in July 1999, when Ms. Wu Xiaohua attended the First Japan Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference. Poster designed to appeal for Ms. Wu during the 12th World Psychiatric Association assembly in August 2002.

Shocked to know that my father passed away all of a sudden, I immediately phoned my mother who is now living in China. My mother ruefully said, "Your father suddenly passed away. It was about only 30 minutes when it happened and the doctors were not able to rescue him." I asked, "Did my sister know this?" Mother said, "I'm afraid that after attending your father's funeral, I would attend your sister's" I wept. Mother said, "Your sister is now locked at a mental hospital. She is very weak. Her blood pressure and blood sugar are very high. If her weak health would not allow her to endure this attack, how would I be able to bear the suffering of seeing two beloved ones away?" I said, "On the occasion of father's funeral, please contact leaders of my sister's university, no matter what, we should let my sister attend father's funeral."

Later, my family told me that they contacted my sister's university, the Anhui Institute of Civil Engineering. My family was informed that after my father passed away, the university immediately sent someone to ask the 610 Office for instructions. Unfortunately, the 610 Office would not allow my sister to attend the funeral with the excuse that she is now in the period of being re-educated through labor.

Over the past more than 3 years of the persecution of Falun Dafa and Dafa practitioners by dictator Jiang, my sister, Wu Xiaohua has been wrongfully abducted several times. She has been suffering forced brainwashing, and various inhuman tortures including being beaten up and cursed. She had been force-fed and locked in a confined cell. Her mouth was once stuffed with sanitary towel soaked with menses and dust cloth that was used to clean the toilet. She was compelled to take psychiatric drugs and she had also suffered electric shocks while she was tied on a bed. Even so, she continuously clarifies the truth with her kind heart all along. Now the female labor camp does not want to keep my sister, saying that she is hard to deal with. Doctors in the mental hospital also changed their previous suppressing attitude and do not want to hold her there any more. They said that my sister is a good and mentally healthy person. They don't want to treat my sister as a psychiatric patient any more and wish that she could leave there as soon as possible. They wish that my sister's family could take her home. However, the 610 Office threatened my sister's husband and forbade him to take my sister home.

Now, my mother extremely worries about my sister. She said that when my father suffered from the miocardial infarction and passed away, his blood sugar value was 18. While my sister's blood sugar value reaches 22-28 due to the torture, her blood pressure is very high and her heart is not in a healthy condition, so my mother worries greatly about my sister's health and wishes that she could return home quickly.

At the end of August, during the 12th convention of the World Psychiatric Association, I took my sister as an example to call on representatives from different countries to urge the Chinese government to stop abusing psychiatry to persecute Dafa practitioners and immediately release my sister, Wu Xiaohua.

Meanwhile, we sincerely appeal to all media, organizations and individuals who carry a sense of justice: Your single solicitous report, or a letter, a phone call or a signature would be a great encouragement to those millions of Dafa practitioners who are enduring the persecution in China for upholding the universal principles. Perhaps, those who manage to maintain a peace of breath under the cruel persecution are just waiting for your kind heart!
