Germany: Clarifying the Facts in Chamer and Koetzting (Photos)

October 27, 2003 |

(Clearwisdom.net, October 26, 2003) On October the 17th and 18th, practitioners held activities to let people know more about Falun Gong and the persecution, in the cities of Chamer and Koetzting.

On the 17th, practitioners appealed at Mark Square in the center of Chamer. The theme of the activity was to encourage support for the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. The day was so windy that the display boards could hardly be set up in the Square, and the signature books were blown into a nearby fountain. After practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts, the wind began to subside and the sun appeared again.

However hard the situation was, it could not stop people with predestined relationships. Many people took the initiative to come to learn the facts about Dafa and offer their support for the global public trial of Jiang Zemin. After reading the flyers, an older woman went home to get some chocolate for a practitioner, saying that she was concerned about the hardship he might have at the activity. Since some practitioners were too busy to come, there were not that many of them at the event. To reach more people, practitioners used a microphone to broadcast information on the eight crimes that Jiang Zemin has committed. The passers-by, who at one time would have walked by hastily, slowed down after learning about Falun Gong. They were pleased to accept flyers and find out more. I think this experience is worth sharing with those who want to organize similar activities, but lack sufficient manpower. Practitioners ran out of flyers much sooner than expected.

On the 18th, the activities in Koetzting City were also well supported by the local people. The Chinese medicine hospital in Koetzting city is the first of its kind in Germany, and its qigong treatments are quite well known in the area. Because of this, the locals are familiar with qigong. However, this hospital maintains a close relationship with the Chinese embassy. When we applied to hold an activity, local officials worried whether it would affect the friendship between the local government and the Chinese embassy in Germany. Practitioners realized that this was a great opportunity to tell them the facts about Falun Gong, expose the evil's lies and clear out interference with righteous thoughts. Finally the Mayor signed a special permission form to approve the activity for us.

Our petition booth was at the center of the city. At the weekend, there are not many people on the street, but many cars passed by. Therefore, practitioners displayed a huge banner reading "Please Support the Trial of Jiang Zemin, Charged with Genocide against Falun Gong Practitioners" in a place where it was most convenient for drivers to see. When passing by, many drivers slowed down to read the banner.

After the activity had just started, practitioners ran into some patients from the Chinese hospital. They were attracted by the Dafa music "Pu Du" and were surprised to learn that the exercises were taught for free. They said that they were interested in Falun Gong, and because of this practitioners gave them a Video-CD to show them the exercise movements. Practitioners also told them about the cruel persecution of Falun Gong in China, and asked them to tell their friends and the doctors at the Chinese Hospital. Before the activity concluded, practitioners put some materials at a local shopping center's cashier desk and on the bulletin board of a local restaurant. When explaining the facts to a man at the pizza shop, he said that there were too few materials there and that more was needed. His employees made an appointment with practitioners to learn the exercises in the park opposite the Chinese hospital. They were very happy to receive a VCD.

During these two days, reporters from a local newspaper interviewed practitioners. As a result, more and more people have learned about the persecution and the trial of Jiang Zemin.
