People were shocked upon seeing the cruel methods of torture that are being used in attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to give up their beliefs in China. They could not believe that such a thing could be happening in the world. When people watched the demonstration of the Falun Gong exercises, they were even more shocked. The strong contrast between the torture methods and the serene and gentle exercises made it hard to comprehend why Jiang ordered his ruthless campaign of genocide against this peaceful practice. People asked practitioners for detailed information on the persecution. Many residents in Vienna wanted to find out how to learn Falun Dafa. A lot of people signed their names on a petition signature form and wished practitioners success in their efforts to raise awareness and bring an end to this persecution.

An elderly Austrian lady told practitioners that she had read a newspaper about the persecution happening in China six months ago. She not only read it seriously by herself, but also gave it to her friends. She said that there are many bad things happening in the world today, but those who practice Falun Gong are being persecuted only because they believe in improving themselves so this persecution is too evil. There were some local western people who could speak Chinese. They discussed what is happening in China with practitioners in Chinese. Some Chinese people asked practitioners for leaflets. They were shocked that such a terrible thing was happening in China.

The weather forecast said it would rain that day. Practitioners' activity ended at five in the afternoon. It was sunny when they held the activity, and only after the activity ended at five did it start to rain heavily.
