On December 21, 2003 Dafa practitioner Ms. Chen Guijun from the Qingbaijiang District, Chengdu City was tortured to death by personnel from Chengdu City's "610 Office"* and the Chengdu City Detention Center. On December 24 a policeman took her body to Wenjiang County's Crematory. An insider said, "She is pretty lucky. She had a family member there. Other Falun Gong practitioners' bodies sent here before didn't even have their names and identities established. They were directly cremated. There were a few cremated in this crematory. And there are several crematories around here. It's really tragic."

Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhao Yong and his wife from the Donghe District, Baotou City were sentenced to five years and three years of imprisonment respectively.

On January 12, 2004 policemen from the National Security Team of the Qingshan Police Department abducted Dafa practitioner Chi Xiaoming from Baotou City. The main person responsible for the abduction is a man with the last name of Xie. They also confiscated a computer. Chi Xiaoming is detained at Qingshan District's Detention Center. Family members are still not allowed to visit him.

On January 4, 2004 team leader Liu Zhandong and instructor Han Ke from the Molding Workshop, No. 3 Prison District in the Tiebei Prison beat detained Dafa practitioners Sun Xi and Cheng Lei from Shulan City for no reason. In order to protest the abuse and mistreatment under the persecution, the two determined Dafa practitioners have been staging a hunger strike for several days.

Around New Year's day of 2004 police from Fate Town's Police Precinct arrested Dafa practitioner Xu Wenliang from the No. 2 Team, Shenshu Village, Baiqi Town, Shulan City in Fate Town, Shulan City.

Ms. Wang Jinlan's detention term was extended by one month when her three year forced labor term expired. She is now held at the Zhangshi Brainwashing Center.

Mr. Zheng Shoujun's term was extended by three months when his three year forced labor term expired. He was later sent to the Zhangshi Brainwashing Center.

In December 2003 police from the Political and Security Section of Hengshan District's Police Precinct in Jixi City arrested practitioner Ms. Zhang Chunmei at home. Her whereabouts are unknown.

Practitioner Ms. Huang Yaowu is a retired kindergarten teacher from Nanning City. Before November 2003 she wrote letters to the city's courts and some other government offices to clarify the truth of Falun Gong. In November 2003 she was arrested as she passed Master Li's new articles to fellow practitioners. She was later sentenced to a year and a half of forced labor.

Practitioner Ms. Cai Qiao is in her 50s, and is a retired employee from the Luoyang City Glassware Manufacturing, in Henan Province. In February 2001 the personnel from Luoyang City "610 Office" and the security department from Cai's work unit arrested Cai and sent her to the Shibalihe Female Labor Camp at Zhengzhou City, Henan Province for two years of forced labor. Because she is a steadfast Dafa practitioner and protested the persecution, she was tortured twice in the labor camp. She needed stitches to close a four-inch long wound on her head, and three of her ribs were broken. However, she was still kept in detention. Her term was extended two times, by a total of seven months. In the middle of September 2003 her term again expired, but personnel from the Security Section of her work unit picked her up from the labor camp instead. They did not allow her to go home, but took her to the work unit, where she is still detained.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Masun is about 50 years old, and is from Laiyuan County, Baoding City, Hebei Province. On November 11, 2002 he was arrested by policemen from Laiyuan County and from the county's "610 Office." The police confiscated 2,300 Yuan from him, a VCD, a recorder, 36 copies of Zhuan Falun, and some truth-clarifying materials. Up to now, no family member has been allowed to see him. It is not known whether or not he is still alive.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Jinmin was previously detained at Shenyang City's Zhangshi Forced Labor Camp but later was transferred to Liaoning Province's Guanshan Forced Labor Camp for further detention. At the beginning of December 2003, when Wang Jinmin's detention term had expired, he was sent to Shenyang City's Zhangshi "Legal System Education School," which is actually a brainwashing center.

Dafa practitioner Zheng Shoujun's detention term expired on December 9, 2003, but perpetrators in the Zhangshi Forced Labor Camp didn't release him; instead, they extended the detention term by one month. On January 9, 2004 Zheng Shoujun was sent to the Zhangshi Brainwashing Center.

It was reported by a witness that on October 28, 2003 several prisoners forced a Falun Gong practitioner, who was in his 30s and detained at the No. 2 Section of Sichuan Province's Deyang Prison, to run around the playground. If the practitioner didn't run, these prisoners pushed, dragged and pulled him. After he finished running, he was dragged to the other side of the playground to stand still for a long time. The witness said that when he saw this Falun Gong practitioner a second time, the practitioner's face was bloody from severe injuries.

At the end of December 2003, when Dafa practitioner Ms. Gao Dianhua from Tianqiaoling Town, Wangqing County, Jinlin Province was reading at home, several policemen broke into her home and ransacked it. Gao Dianhua escaped when the policemen were busy searching, but she had to go into exile. Her husband Chen Xing, also a Dafa practitioner, was arrested and afterwards was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor.
