1. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Luo Feiming Dies After being Falsely Charged and Tortured
Ms. Luo Feiming, 64 years old, was a teacher living at Meihua Town, Maonan District, Maoming City. She began to practice Falun Gong in November 1996 and ever since she set a very high standard for herself trying to follow the principles of Falun Dafa --"Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance" to become a better person.
In December 2000, Ms. Luo went to Beijing to appeal and was arrested in Tiananmen Square by the staff of the Meihua Town government, Chen Cong and Li Xiuqun, and was escorted to Maoming City's No. 2 Detention Centre. Half a year later, the policemen released her after they extorted a large amount of money from Ms. Luo's family. Coming back home, Ms. Luo, on the verge of death because of the torture she had suffered in the detention center, took to her bed and never rose again. At 11 p.m. on January 23, 2004 she passed away at the Maoming People's Hospital. Two days before she died she told her family that Falun Dafa is good; "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance" is good and her death was caused by the persecution at the orders of Jiang.

3. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner He Dong Is Illegally Sentenced to Ten Years Imprisonment
Falun Dafa practitioner He Dong was originally a cadre of the Financial Department of Shijiazhuang City Government. He was discharged from his public employment in 2000 simply because he was practicing Falun Dafa. Later he was forced to leave home to avoid the persecution. He was arrested in September 2002 and was detained in the detention center. At the end of 2003, he was illegally sentenced to ten years imprisonment and it is said he is now being held at the Tangshan Jail.

It was learned that several Beijing Falun Dafa practitioners were arrested for producing truth-clarification materials, and recently they were secretly sentenced.
Liu Lan is 30 years old and graduated from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronauts. He was arrested on October 28, 2002 and held at the Beijing Fengtai Detention Center. In December 2003, the Fengtai Court in Beijing sentenced him to 7 years imprisonment. Other practitioners' conditions are currently unknown.

5. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Liao Liqing and Mr. Lu Zhengting Are Persecuted
Mr. Liao Liqing is 39 years old and Mr. Lu Zhengting is 32. They persisted in practicing Falun Dafa and were harassed and persecuted by the township "610 Office" [a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches.] staff many times since July 20, 1999. On the evening of January 9, 2004 when they went to Qingjiang Village of Xinfeng Town in Guanghan City, Sichuan Province to remove the slogans and posters slandering Falun Dafa, they were reported to the township "610 Office" by the local public security guards Zhou Yong and Zhou Bing.

Even those former Falun Gong practitioners who have renounced the practice due to brainwashing and torture and assist in persecuting Dafa practitioners, have now become sober minded and all resolutely resisted the arrangements by the evil. The leading members of the village, production brigade and township had to fill out the "reformed" forms by themselves in order to report to their superiors how they accomplished handling Falun Dafa practitioners.
7. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Held at Qinduankou Jail Resist the Persecution with Righteous Thoughts
Qinduankou Jail of Hubei Province is located at Qinduankou Street, Hanyang District, Wuhan City. There are nearly 70 male Falun Dafa practitioners held there. In that evil environment many steadfast Dafa practitioners have suffered inhuman torture. Wuhan Dafa practitioner Hong Weisheng became disabled as a result of the torture in the jail.
It was learned that before the Chinese Lunar New Year, the Qinduankou Jail held a meeting to "expose and criticize" Falun Gong. Several Falun Dafa practitioners dashed onto the platform to declare that whatever they had said and done under high pressure that was damaging to Falun Dafa to be null and void, and shouted at top of their voice "Falun Dafa is Wonderful!" Instantly, the shouting "Falun Dafa is Wonderful!" resounded throughout the whole meeting hall. The police were panicked and angry. They handcuffed and shackled four Falun Dafa practitioners and placed them in confinement.

8. [Shandong Province] Atrocities Against Falun Dafa Practitioners at Wangcun Forced Labor Camp
The No. 11 Team Leader of the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp Zhao Yongming and Wangli often plotted behind the scenes how to persecute Dafa practitioners. Wang Li was directly involved in electrically shocking Falun Dafa practitioners. He shocked the practitioners' heads and faces until their hair all bristled and their faces turned purple. The scene of one practitioner named Man Jun being electrically shocked was too horrible to look at. Besides, some Falun Dafa practitioners only got about 15 minutes sleep a day. They were allowed to go to bed at 5:15 a.m. and forced get up at 5:30 a.m.
The police incited other people to insanely torture Falun Dafa practitioner Li Deshan of Dezhou City, Shandong Province to force him to give up Falun Gong. These perpetrators cuffed Mr. Li's hands and legs onto two iron beds and then pushed the beds apart. Li felt like he would be torn apart. Someone tied three bottles of boiling water together and lifted them above Mr. Li's head. If he moved his head a little bit he would be scalded by the hot water. The guards at the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp tortured Li Deshan with various torture instruments.

At about 8 p.m. of February 7, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Zhang Lijuan, Ms. Li Jing and Li Guangwen of Fushun City were reported and arrested by the police when they were clarifying the truth at Lishi District. They were detained at the Lishi Local Police Station for one night and on the following day they were sent to the notorious Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Xia of Shenyang City, 41 years old, was forcefully taken away from home by more than 20 people from the Shenyang City "610 Office" and the Wulihe Local Police Station of Shenhe District Public Security Sub-bureau.
On the evening of February 12, 2004, senior police officer Chen (name is not unknown) from Wulihe Local Police Station came to Li Xia's home first and talked to her. About ten minutes later, the Director of the Shenyang City "610 Office" Liu Chen (pronunciation), Shenhe District Public Security Sub-bureau Zhao Hongtao and more than 20 policemen forced their way into the house. 11. [Wangqing County, Jilin Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Qu Xingwu Is Arrested
Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Qu Xingwu, over 30 years old, is from Wangqing County, Jilin Province. On the evening of February 4, 2004, the policemen from the National Security Division of the Wangqing County Public Security Bureau illegally broke into Mr. Qu's house, searched his house and took him away by force. Details are yet to be investigated. Mr. Qu Xingwu was sentenced to one year of forced labor by the National Security Division of the Wangqing County Public Security Bureau in 2002 and suffered from severe torture at Jiutai City Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp.

Weifang Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Gong Ruijuan taught mathematics at the Rixiang Friendship Primary School. Since October 2000 she has been held at the No. 2 Division of the Shandong Provincial No. 1 Female Forced Labor Camp as she refused to give up her belief in Falun Dafa. After her three-year term of forced labor expired she was transferred directly to the brainwashing center run by the Weifang City "610 Office." The head of the "610 Office" threatened to send her back to a forced labor camp if she still refused to renounce Falun Dafa.

On the eve of China's Lunar New Year, a large amount of truth-clarification New Year cards appeared in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. Four practitioners are confirmed to have been arrested. Besides the arrest of Liu Yunhua, Cai Yuxin and Zhu Jianning as reported by Clearwisdom Net, it has been confirmed that Ms. Hong Yumei, 58 years old, was also arrested on January 21, 2004, New Year's Eve.

At about 7 pm February 7, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioners from Lishizhai Village, Shuncheng District of Fushun City went to Dawa and Xiaowa villages to hang banners and were reported by the local residents who did not know the truth of Falun Gong. Four practitioners were arrested by six or seven policemen from the Lishizhai Village Local Police Station. Now one of them has been released and the rest of the practitioners, Li Jing, Zhang Limian and one surnamed Liu have been sent to Nangou Detention Center.

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Pan Yifeng is a worker at the Installation Branch, Telecommunication Company of the Daqing Oil Field Administration Bureau. In the early morning of February 12, 2004 the Party Secretary of the company, Zhu Jiwen, led a few people to the Installation Branch and arrested Mr. Pan, giving no reasons. At the time Mr. Pan was working. He has been sent to Daqing Hongweixing Brainwashing Center.

16. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Hu Xisheng Is Arrested by the Police
Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Hu Xisheng is from Hujia Village, Shuangyang Town, Hanting District, Weifang City. At about 9:30 p.m. on September 26, 2003, he was reported and eleven policemen, led by the head of the Shuangyang Town Local Police Station Zhang Guoqiang rushed to Mr. Hu's orchard in two cars. They handcuffed him and searched the place and took away almost everything. Then the police took the handcuffed Mr. Hu to his home. They searched everywhere, including the baby's cot where Mr. Hu's baby was sound asleep. The police took away 1,000 yuan [This is about two months' salary of an urban worker] and other daily necessities. They left at about eleven o'clock in the evening.
On the second day, the police went back again with a key they grabbed during their first search, saying that they were after a cassette recorder. Mr. Hu's wife had to leave home for a while to avoid being harassed. Now Mr. Hu has been detained at the Hanting Detention Center for more than 100 days, but the police still have no intention of releasing him.

On February 3, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Yanhua from Baishan Village, Banjita Town, practitioner surnamed Lu and her sister from Guajiasi Village, Banjita Town as well as Dafa practitioner Wang Yanjun from Jinbaoling Village Cuiyan Town were arrested by the police while handing out truth-clarification materials in the Shenjiatai Town, Jinzhou City. 20. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] The Facts About the Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms Zhao Yunyan and Her Husband, Who Is Not a Practitioner
Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhao Yunyan, 35 years old, is a farmer from Beilu Township of Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province. On October 9, 1999, she went to Beijing to appeal and was arrested by the police on the way. She was taken to the Lingyuan City No. 2 Detention Center. One month later, she was sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City and only released after serving fourteen months of forced labor.
On February 16, 2001 the Head of the Beilu Township Local Police Station, Li Zhenhua, and Deputy Head Wu arrested Zhao Yunyan and her husband (who does not practice Falun Gong) from their home. Zhao Yunyan's husband was detained for 15 days and Zhao Yunyan was detained for one month, after which she was released unconditionally.
In 2002 the Lingyuan Public Security Bureau collaborated with the Beilu Township Local Police Station to try to arrest Ms Zhao Yunyan nine times, but due to various reasons all these attempts failed.
On July 22, 2003, Ms. Zhao Yunyan was arrested at Dongzhangzi Country Fair while handing out truth-clarification materials. She was persecuted for seven days at the Lingyuan City No. 2 Detention Center and then sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for one and a half years of forced labor. Ms. Zhao Yunyan's mother is also a Falun Dafa practitioner and is now being persecuted at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

It was learned that Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Yanbing from Guangxi was a prison guard of a jail in Liuzhou City, Guangxi. He started to practice Falun Gong in 1999. He was arrested in 2001 when he went to Beijing to unfold a banner. He was then sent back to Guangxi and sentenced to one and a half years forced labor. His brother and sister-in-law that are Dafa practitioners were also both sentenced. On January 24, 2004, Liu Yanbing was arrested in Haizhu District, Guangzhou City. The residence he rented was sealed off and his whereabouts are unknown. Now at home there are only his ageing parents and his little son.
22. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Wang Xiuai Is Suffering Untold Torture at the Longshan Forced Labor Camp.
Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Xiuai was arrested at home on April 19, 2002 for persisting in practicing Falun Dafa and was escorted to Longshan Forced Labor Camp where she suffered untold torture both physically and mentally. Because of the excessive load of manual labor (working 16 hours a day together with inmates) Ms. Wang has become hunched-back and her hair is almost snow white. 23. [Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Huang Lizhai Is Arrested and Sent to Xinhua District Brainwashing Center
Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Huang Lizhai from Xinhua District, Shijiazhuang City, 49 years old, was arrested by the head of the Xiying Village Public Security Unit on January 28, 2004 while handing out truth-clarification materials in Xiying Village, Xinhua District. On January 29, the director of the Xiying Village Public Security Unit collaborated with Dubei Village Local Police Station to send Huang Lizhai to a brainwashing centre in the Agricultural Sciences Academy run by Xinhua District "610 Office." His home was illegally searched and his family has been extorted 7,000 yuan. This caused great financial difficulty for the family during the Chinese Lunar New Year, and they were forced to borrow money.

24. [China] A Female Teacher Is Paraded Through the Streets for Clarifying the Truth to Her Students
Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Chi Xiaolan is a teacher. She clarified the truth to her students on May 9, 2001. She was arrested by the city's National Security Bureau and the Public Security Bureau on May 13 and locked up in the city's detention center. On June 26 the same year, she was handcuffed from behind. The handcuffs were so tight they cut into her flesh and left a long bloody mark. In some places, the skin was torn and bleeding. Ms. Chi was pulled onto a truck and taken to the city's stadium to be put in front of a public rally. After the rally she was paraded through the streets to be humiliated and mentally tortured. This was the decision by the city's Political and Judiciary Committee and the "610 Office."
