Facts of the Persecution
Ms. Li Cuixiang, a 48-year-old Falun Gong practitioner, is a citizen of Gedian Village, Yanjiao Town, Sanhe City, Hebei Province. Because she refused to give up her belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance, she has been arrested and detained on every major national holiday (Labor Day, October First, New Year's Day, and the Spring Festival) every year since the persecution began. Ms. Li was cruelly tortured while in detention. They shocked her with electrical batons and tortured her by a method called "Handcuffed and Hung up."
Several practitioners from Changsha City, Hunan Province were abducted while visiting their friends during the holidays. On March 8, International Working Women's Day, Ms. Xi Xianghui and Ms. Lian Taotao went to the Hunan Biological Mechanical and Electrical Professional Technology Institute to visit their friend Ms. He Yingqing, a teacher at the Institute. They were abducted by the Guard Division of the Institute and sent to the Mapoling Police Station. Later they were sentenced to detention for a term of 15 days, being accused of disturbing social order. They currently remain in detention.
Perpetrators and Their Crimes
The following are the criminal activities carried out by Wang Yanhua and Xue Dianchang from Dalian City. Wang Yanhua was very active in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. She also incited others to consort with her in the persecution. On every so-called "Sensitive Day" (national holidays), she strictly monitored those practitioners who had been forced to become destitute and homeless. Wang Yanhua organized Su Honghua, Pan E and two other people to monitor the homes of practitioners Yang Fenglian and Liu Wanghua. Before practitioner Pan Mingzhi was forced to become homeless, Wang Yanhua frequently brought officials from Zhongchang Village, including the Secretary of the ruling Party and members of the Neighborhood Administration Office, as well as officials from Jinzhou District, to Mr. Pan's home to harass and threaten him and his wife. This had a direct bearing on Mr. Pan and his wife becoming homeless, as they had to leave home in order to avoid the constant harassment and possible arrest. Wang Yanhua was also in collusion with Qu, a policeman from Zhongchang Police Station, to monitor the homes of those practitioners who had become homeless, in order to try and catch them returning. Their wicked effort made it impossible for these practitioners to return to their homes.
