Using Our Words and Deeds to Clarify the Truth

1. Clarifying the truth subtly while giving a speech

A fellow practitioner in Benxi City, Liaoning Province attended a training class for sales personnel. There was a wrap-up meeting on the last day, and everyone had to go to the front and say something about the class.

When it was the practitioner's turn, he faced over 40 pairs of eyes in the audience and said, "I have learned a lot in this training session from the speakers before me, so I don't want to repeat what they've already told us. However, I would like to take this opportunity to say something about my outlook on life. My faith in life is 'Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance.'"

As he came to this point, the practitioner picked up a piece of chalk and wrote on the small blackboard the three large characters for "Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance." Right away there was a round of applause from the audience.

He continued, "What is Truth? It means to be truthful, to tell the truth and do truthful things, to seek the truth from facts. What is Compassion? It means to always treat others well and to be compassionate towards them. What is Tolerance? It means to tolerate others. Don't hit back when attacked or talk back when insulted."

The speech was often interrupted by applause. Although the practitioner didn't explicitly say the words "Falun Gong," everyone in the audience knew he was spreading Falun Gong's principles!

2. An elderly lady says, "I will bear in mind that Falun Gong is good!"

In the spring of 2003, a fellow practitioner who is a cab driver drove home an older lady. She was in her seventies and her home was in a small village about 10 miles from the county capital. On the way to her home, the practitioner told her the truth of Falun Gong and the lady understood everything.

In the conversation, the practitioner learned that the woman and her husband lived a hard life, and he was very sympathetic towards them.

When they arrived at her home, she paid the practitioner seven yuan, a normal price for that distance. The practitioner returned five yuan to her and only kept two, saying, "I only took enough for the gas. You can save this five yuan to buy something for your husband!" The elderly lady was moved to tears and repeatedly said, "Thank you, thank you!".

The practitioner said, "You shouldn't thank me. You should thank Falun Gong. It is because I practice Falun Gong that I do this."

The elderly lady said, "I will bear in mind that Falun Gong is good. You Falun Gong practitioners are all good people!"
