Falun Dafa Practitioners Mr. Pan Zhaowen, Mr. Li Qiang, Ms. Bi He and Ms. Wang Yin Are Being Brutally Force-fed in Detention

January 05, 2006 |

(Clearwisdom.net) It has been 15 days since Mr. Pan Zhaowen, Mr. Li Qiang, Ms. Bi He and Ms. Wang Yin went on a hunger strike on December 13, 2005, to protest their illegal detention and persecution. The Security Department in Jilin City is force-feeding them and subjecting them to brainwashing by turns. A doctor recently injected Mr. Pan Zhaowen with unknown drugs.

Presently, Mr. Pan Zhaowen and Mr. Li Qiang are imprisoned in a building next to the Changchun Guesthouse. Ms. Bi He and Ms. Wang Yin are being force-fed at different places in Jilin. The main persecution unit is the Security Department. All information related to these four practitioners has been blocked both internally and externally to achieve the goal of persecution and "transformation."

There are many persecution cases indicating that the force-feeding of Falun Gong practitioners in forced labor camps takes place not out of humanity, but rather is intended as one of the most brutal methods of torturing those who hold hunger strikes. It was widely used by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in forced labor camps and hospitals all over China. With this method, a thick and dirty tube, without lubrication, is inserted repeatedly into a practitioner, first through one nostril many times, then taken out and inserted into the other nostril. During this process, the tube is intentionally pulled out and pushed back down to intensify the torture. These actions cause the hunger striker to experience nausea, a choking sensation, violent coughing, and also excruciating pain. A variation of the forced-feeding procedure is to pry open the mouth of a victim to insert the tube. Often, the victim's front teeth will be broken and the throat severely damaged. Food can easily be introduced into the trachea and lungs during force-feeding. Highly concentrated salt solution, mixed with corn porridge, hot chili pepper solution, and dried milk powder is generally used to force-feed. Many practitioners have died during this procedure. Some died from asphyxiation caused by the feeding tube. Mr. Fu Chunsheng, 52, was an employee of a water factory in Jilin City. He was illegally arrested by police on December 28, 2005, and few days later he died from force-feeding at the detention center.
