(Clearwisdom.net) On May 4, all representatives of the Chiayi County Council unanimously passed a resolution entitled "Condemn and Call On International Community to Stop the Chinese Communist Party's Atrocities against Falun Gong." After the meeting, the council Chair met with practitioners outside the council hall.

A practitioner commented that the resolution marks a very important historical moment. He said: "Falun Gong has been persecuted for nearly 7 years in China. According to statistics from the Global Committee to Rescue Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioners, 2876 practitioners of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance" have been tortured to death. In addition, hundreds of thousands are being detained. Countless families have been broken apart and many practitioners have disappeared."

Since the first eyewitness disclosed that the Chinese Communist regime has set up concentration camps to detain and arbitrarily kill practitioners, more witnesses have stepped forward revealing more horrific persecution facts: The CCP regime has at least 36 concentration camps in which the regime harvests organs from living practitioners for profit and then cremates the remains to destroy evidence. Investigation has shown that the regime is now conducting a large massacre to destroy all evidence after the exposure of these atrocities.

Chiayi practitioners recently formed groups to visit county representatives, urging the county council to take action to rescue practitioners persecuted in China. While shocked by the atrocities, representatives in succession indicated that they were willing to take action.

The resolution of Chiayi County Council Spells out the following requests:

Call on the United Nations, Red Cross and World Health Organization to fully investigate all Chinese concentration camps, labor camps and medical facilities regarding the claims of organ harvesting from living persons.

Call on international human rights organizations to fully investigate the persecution of Falun Gong and request the Chinese Communist Party to end the persecution.

Call on the Taiwan government to pay close attention to the claims of persecution and organ harvesting and request the international community to closely watch the Chinese Communist regime's human rights violations.

To reflect Taiwan's respect for fundamental rights to live and rights of health, the council hopes the Taiwanese government will widely inform people that organ transplant operations in China are linked to illegal organ removal and the safety of patients is at stake and request the Chinese Communist regime to specify the sources of the organs in order to maintain quality of medical services and protect lives.
