On July 7th, approximately 100 Falun Gong practitioners from across western Canada gathered in the city of Calgary to participate in the Calgary Stampede parade.

The Calgary Stampede parade is the second-largest in North America. 400,000 people lined the streets in Calgary to see it in person, and millions more will see it on television and the internet. Each year over 150 groups participate in the parade, which takes over two hours to pass any one point. The annual parade heralds the opening of the Calgary Stampede, billed as the "greatest outdoor show on earth." It is Calgary's biggest tourist attraction, bringing thousands of visitors from around the world each year. This is the third year that practitioners have participated in the Calgary Stampede Parade.

The following day, practitioners held a large group practice, followed by a Falun Gong parade through Calgary's Chinatown. Practitioners' annual Chinatown parade helps many of Calgary's thousands of Chinese residents further appreciate the beauty of Falun Gong and let go of the notions forced upon them by the CCP and the local Chinese Consulate.

In the afternoon, practitioners held an event to call attention to China's organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners. The event was covered by the city's largest newspaper, the Calgary Herald, as well as one of its main television news channels.
