At the recent 3rd World Conference Against the Death Penalty held in Paris, current French Minister of Justice Pascal Clement and Minister of Justice during the Mitterrand government Robert Badinter said that the Chinese Communist regime's organ harvesting cannot be condoned and must be stopped.
The Falun Gong group was invited to report on and display photos of the persecution of its members in China at the 3rd World Conference Against the Death Penalty.
During a discussion about France's intention to sign an extradition treaty with China, Tang Hanlong, President of the French Falun Dafa association, asked the former and present Ministers of Justice whether the French government would include any measures to prevent the Chinese regime from extraditing political activists and Falun Gong practitioners.

Robert Badinter replied, "My answer is very clear. It is a common legal principle for France that those being charged for political reasons cannot be extradited."
In regards to the current investigation charges into organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party, Badinter said that dealings in organ harvesting is a very serious moral and humane problem, especially those who are harvesting organs from people in China. He stated that harvesting of organs from anybody who is going to be executed cannot be tolerated and must definitely be stopped.
Tang Hanlong asked, "According to statistics, 75% organs used in transplants in China come from prisoners of conscience. Has France adopted any policies to stop French citizens from going to China for organ transplants that use organs from those murdered by the Chinese Communist Party?"
Current French Minister of Justice Pascal Clement replied, "France cannot tolerate such human organ trafficking with China or any other country even for a second. This must be completely prohibited and is definitely repulsive and shocking."

(Clearwisdom.net) On February 10, 2007, on the busiest business street of Chinatown in Melbourne, a parade was held to support eighteen million withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.

The rally was hosted by the Melbourne Service Center for Quitting the CCP. With the assistance of the police, the event included rallies in the middle and at the end of the parade. The first rally was held on the busiest business street in Chinatown in both English and Chinese. After the parade, another rally was held on city square, the starting point of the parade, so that more people and tourists could learn about the quitting the CCP movement in China and the CCP's atrocities of live organ removal.
Representatives from the Service Center for Quitting the CCP, the Epoch Times, the Falun Dafa Association in Victoria and former Olympic Silver medalist Ms. Jan Becker gave speeches at the rallies.
Mr. Yu of the Service Center for Quitting CCP stated that along with the spreading of the "Nine Commentaries on Communist Party", more Chinese people have quit the CCP.
Ms. Fu of the Epoch Times recommended to the public the other commentary, "Disintegrating the Party Culture". She said that heaven would destroy the CCP and eliminating the CCP's contamination of Chinese culture is an essential action.
The event caught the attention of the public and tourists, who stopped to watch or take photos. The truth-clarification literature that was prepared before the parade was all distributed during the parade.
A group of students from Taiwan was interested in the parade and asked what Falun Gong is and why such a parade was held. When a practitioner explained that the CCP extends the persecution to overseas and influences media in Taiwan, they understood. One of them said that some practitioners in Taiwan were denied entry to Hong Kong and mainland China.
A senior lady said that before the parade she signed the petition supporting the Australia investigation team's request to enter China to conduct an independent investigation into accusations of live organ removal. She said that it is horrible, and how could such things happen in today's world.
A tourist from Canada praised the parade and said that he knew the CCP very well due to his work and life. Everyone should have the freedom of expression.
A student at Deakin University said that he heard of the live organ removal from the media. He supported the parade very much and said it would be best to have a parade every day to let everyone know of the persecution.
Mr. Mao, who lived in Singapore for eleven years after leaving China and now lives in Melbourne, saw the parade while shopping. He followed the procession to city square. He said that in the fourth grade (about 1969) in China, he bought an expensive short wave radio receiver to listen BBC broadcasts and so he knew the nature of the CCP. As a Christian, he supports the quitting the CCP activity.
(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of February 5, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners in Belgium gathered in front of the Singapore Embassy to protest that government’s unreasonable trial of six Falun Gong practitioners on the charge of "assembly without a permit." They urgently called on the Singaporean authorities to drop the charges against the practitioners and not to help the Chinese communist regime persecute Falun Gong or become an accomplice in the persecution.

Human rights lawyer Mr. Ravi came all the way from Singapore to participate in the protest. Although it was very cold, Mr. Ravi insisted on staying with the practitioners. Due to his defense of Falun Gong practitioners, his certificate to practice law was revoked by the Singapore government.
With the local police’s assistance, representatives of Belgian Falun Gong practitioners and Mr. Ravi met the Singapore Embassy’s First Secretary and Consul, Mr. Rama. Falun Gong practitioners explained to him the unfair treatment Falun Gong practitioners have received in Singapore, and the reasons why they staged the protest. They also called on the Singapore government not to help the Chinese communist regime persecute Falun Gong. The consulate official stated that Falun Gong is a legal organization in his country and people are allowed to practice Falun Gong in Singapore. When he mentioned that all organizations should abide by the laws, Mr. Ravi told the officials his own experience in defending Falun Gong practitioners in Singapore. He said the trial of Falun Gong practitioners in Singapore is illegal and people don’t have the freedom to protest in Singapore, and that’s why they staged the protest there. He especially pointed out that when trying to defend the Falun Gong practitioners, the Singapore police even took away the evidence he wanted to use for the defense of the defendants. He urged all of Singapore's citizens in other countries around the world to go to their embassies to express their concern about the case.
Afterwards, two Falun Gong practitioners formally presented the Belgian Falun Gong Association’s petition and other related materials to the Singapore Embassy. The practitioners stated that before the Chinese communist regime started to persecute Falun Gong in 1999, Falun Gong was allowed to hold various activities, and they had never had any problems holding these activities. However, after the Chinese regime started the persecution, the Singapore practitioners’ legitimate activities were interfered with in a variety of ways, and they have been treated unreasonably. It is unacceptable that the Singapore government helps the Chinese communist regime to persecute Falun Gong.
The Embassy’s First Secretary and the Consul, Mr. Rama, eventually agreed to forward the petition as well as the practitioners’ requests to the government.
(Clearwisdom.net) More than 100 Dafa practitioners are presently detained at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Liaoning Province.
In September 2006, the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp "borrowed" a gang of guards from several other places. These guards colluded with the local Masanjia female guards to torture, using excruciating means, the Dafa practitioners who refused to be "reformed."
The guards handcuffed Dafa practitioners to two metal beds, stretching their hands as much as possible in the process. Some Dafa practitioners' hands were bound to their calves, forcing them to bend down without the ability to stand straight or sit down. Over time this is extremely painful, as all the body's weight is concentrated on the handcuffed positions. The guards threatened the practitioners, saying "No guarantee statement -- no eating or sleeping!" The guards would come in from time to time and demand, "Will you write the guarantee statement?" If the answer was still "no," the guards would extend the distance between the two metal beds, causing more severe pain. This would make the practitioners tremble uncontrollably and their bodies would become soaked with sweat. Some practitioners developed large blisters where they were handcuffed, which eventually broke and oozed fluid. Some practitioners were handcuffed for several days and nights; others for weeks. When practitioners began to lose consciousness from this torture, the guards would beat and curse them, or poke their armpit with their fingers. The abusers pried some practitioners' mouths open and force-fed them unknown drugs.
In those days painful screams as well as shouts of "Falun Dafa is good" and the sound of beating and guards' cursing could be heard from time to time in the corridor. Some Dafa practitioners continually clarified the truth to the guards.
In October, Masanjia's "First Camp" was disbanded. More than 700 common detainees were transited to the "Second Women's Camp," where the Dafa practitioners are illegally detained. Now Dafa practitioners are forced to get up at 4:30 a.m. and begin manual labor at 5:00 a.m. Sometimes they have to work until 10:00 p.m. or even later, for failing to finish the assigned quota on time. The work days are 14 to 15 hours long, not counting the time for meals and a brief noontime break. Some practitioners have to do heavy labor, such as unloading grain and hauling out garbage. Some are forced to make cotton clothes, peel garlic and do handwork alongside the criminal detainees in the workshop. Some are made to dig the ground in snowy weather. Their detention times are often extended if they disobey any orders.
Some Dafa practitioners experienced huge mental and physical stress after they gave in to forcible "reform."
One day in November 2006, Dafa practitioners shouted together, "Falun Dafa is good!" This shocked the persecutors and expressed the practitioners' determination to continue to practice and uphold Falun Dafa.
The persecution conditions in different divisions of Masanjia are as follows:
Workshops: Forced labor begins before 6:00 a.m. and lasts until after 8:00 or 9:00 p.m. However, after Dafa practitioners' continuous anti-persecution and non-cooperation activities, some divisions have stopped this kind of persecution and some divisions have alleviated this persecution. Some divisions decide whether practitioners work or not. When practitioners are forced to work, they have to be in the workshop, can't move around, and are monitored there by the common detainees.
The cells: Those Dafa practitioners who are incarcerated in the cells are forbidden to go out or visit other cells. The door has to be locked. Except for family visits and going to the camp convenience store, practitioners cannot leave the building for months. Whether it is in workshops or cells, they are monitored -- sometimes secretly -- by common detainees whom the guards have designated. These detainees report everything they see, even trifles, to the guards.
Visitation Office: For monthly visits, it takes the family members of Dafa practitioners at least one hour, sometimes up to three or four hours, to fulfill the difficult and time-consuming procedures at the visitation office, camp wards, and camp administration section; however, it only takes half an hour for common detainees' families. Furthermore, Dafa practitioners can only visit family through the telephone, the excuse being that regulations from the provincial bureau only permit telephone visits for Falun Gong practitioners. The monitoring guards listen in during the conversations. Whenever they hear topics about Falun Gong or other content they deem "sensitive" they immediately give a warning or cut the visiting time short. Dafa practitioners are forbidden to accept anything their visitors bring for them, including fruit.
The Strictly Controlled Team: There are ten small confinement cells and two big Strictly Controlled rooms in this area, with a monitor in each room. Between the end of 2003 and the end of 2004, during the most savage persecution period, Dafa practitioners refused to do forced labor and continued practicing and studying the Fa. Twenty practitioners were locked up in the Strictly Controlled cells or Strictly Controlled rooms numerous times; the longest time lasted nearly three months. Only two daily meals were provided: corn porridge and pickles for breakfast, and corn porridge and wotou (a kind of Chinese steamed bread made of corn or sorghum) for dinner. Strictly controlled persons cannot move about, except for going to the toilet. The persecution tactics include beating, cursing, other corporal punishment (forcible sitting for over 10 hours every day, with one leg bent and one leg stretched, for fear of Dafa practitioners' practicing meditation); "stick crossing" (to position a stick from one sleeve to another to make the Dafa practitioners unable to practice the exercises); forcing practitioners to wear handcuffs, shackles, and other torture devices; and electric shocks from electric batons.
The Prison Hospital: Dafa practitioners who are on a hunger strike to protest the persecution would be force-fed at this hospital every day starting on the fourth day of their hunger strike. They are initially force-fed twice daily and sent then back to the labor camp. Practitioners are hospitalized if their hunger strike lasts longer than seven days. The persecutors fasten practitioners' four limbs to a bed. The nasal feeding tube is kept inserted 24 hours a day. The labor camp personnel then force-feed the practitioners with milk powder and salt three to four times daily. Some prisoners working in the hospital, urged by the guards or by head prisoners, or of their own choosing, would put in too much salt and roughly push the tube in and out of the nasal cavities of the practitioners so as to torture them. Some prisoners will tightly clutch the hands, feet and head of the practitioners who refuse to cooperate with the brutal force-feeding and wildly beat them.
From the end of 2003 to August 2006, nearly 20 practitioners were persecuted by force-feeding dozens of times. Several practitioners died as a result of abuse at Masanjia. Practitioner Zhou Zhi died as a result of persecution in August 2004, Sun Qian in March 2005, Wu Yuan in December 2003, and Guan Wenjiang in August 2004.
The Camp Convenience Store: Shopping at the convenience store is under the team leaders' regulations. Usually the practitioners locked in cells have to ask the team leaders' permission to go buy necessities, or they have to follow other detainees to the workshop and then follow those who go to the store to buy things. Sometimes the team leaders refuse to take practitioners to the store, which would cause some practitioners to have no access to the shop for months, creating much difficulty in their daily life.
Telephone calls: According to nationwide labor camp regulations, each detainee is permitted a monthly phone call home. Some Dafa practitioners, however, haven't been permitted to make a phone call for over six months. For others, even though they made the formal request to call home, the guards required an "application" and thus delayed the time. Some were given a short time-limit when calling home, and the guards monitored their conversations.
Searching the cells: Dafa practitioners often face cell searches by division guards, special guards (prison administrators) and armed policemen. The divisions conduct searches in the cells periodically or randomly, but particularly before holidays. As has been reported, most of Master Li's articles were confiscated by these targeted searches. The guards would stand by and make the common prisoners search the cells, or sometimes the guards would search in person. The special guards, however, patrol the cells every day and do instant searches upon finding any new signs. The armed policemen search before holidays and in specific cases. To negate this form of persecution, some Dafa practitioners went to the guards to ask for Master Li's articles back and clarified the truth to the guards; others went on a hunger strike and some tried to take the confiscated articles from the hands of the guards directly, but the result was a savage beating or strict constraints.
(Clearwisdom.net) Gao Hu is a prison guard at the No. 4 Division of Wumaping Prison in Sichuan Province, in charge of persecuting the imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners. Every year in January, he uses the "end-of-year review" and "quarterly review" to escalate his torture of practitioners.
Gao Hu exhausts all means to humiliate and torture practitioners. In January 2006, he used the "end-of-year review" and "quarterly review" to force practitioners to fill out the end-of-year review form and to memorize the prison rules. He was enraged when all the practitioners imprisoned in the No. 4 Division boycotted the review process. Gao repeatedly goaded prison inmates responsible for monitoring practitioners to use violence on practitioners. Later, Gao transferred practitioners one by one to the so-called Intensive Training Team where they suffered from escalated levels of torture and abuse. Practitioners Mr. Liu Lun, Mr. Zhao Benyong, Mr. Zhu Zhaojie and Mr. Yang Shunfa suffered the most severe tortures by the Intensive Training Team. The abuse included freezing practitioners by making them wear few clothes in January, physical abuses, threats, intimidation, and denying practitioners of sleep.
At first, Mr. Wang Haipo went on a hunger strike to protest the torture, but Gao Hu told a team leader to transfer Mr. Wang to the Intensive Training Team and to force him to memorize the prison rules. After Mr. Wang suffered a few days of hunger, Gao Hu told a prison inmate named Zhang Qing to beat Mr. Wang and force him to eat. Later, when the review that Mr. Wang wrote did not satisfy Gao Hu, Gao forced him to stand still for long hours in the cold in the middle of January. Wang Haipo was already very frail at the time. When prisoners started to beat him up, he passed out and collapsed on the ground. The prisoners then threatened another practitioner, who had witnessed the crime, not to say a word. That night Gao Hu told the prisoners to make the practitioner who witnessed the abuse to stay up standing long hours, facing the wall.
Under Gao Hu's "management," all the torturers go unpunished because Gao justifies the violence by labeling the tortured practitioners as "resistant to management and education." Those practitioners who bravely stood up to uphold justice have been condemned as "disruptive to order" and were punished.
Later, Gao Hu took the opportunity of the annual review to hold a meeting to criticize and denounce practitioners. Because Gao Hu was not able to have a lot of prisoners verbally attack practitioners, he selected a few prisoners who were "team leaders" to visit each group and attack practitioners in each group. Each time a practitioner was called out, these "team leaders" surrounded the practitioner and attacked him with vicious language and warped theories. During the meeting, prison guards Gao Hu and Yang Xilin kept monitoring the process. When some practitioners fearlessly clarified the truth about Falun Gong and about the long litany of crimes committed by the wicked Chinese Communist Party, Gao Hu and Yang Xilin ran to them, shouting hysterically.
We hope that those practitioners who read this news, especially those in Sichuan Province, will send out strong righteous thoughts targeting Wumaping Prison in order to eliminate the evil dark minions and rotten demons harbored in this devil's den and to have the wicked prison guards meet with karmic retribution immediately.
(Clearwisdom.net) In October 2006, in the rear courtyard of Liaoning Province Women's Prison, construction on a new building was begun. The new building's foundation has been laid and the planned date of completion is spring 2007. According to an internal news disclosure, this new building will serve as a Hospital for Infectious Diseases and the patients will come from various provinces and cities in China. But it is rumored that patients will be brought here to establish a concentration camp for harvesting organs.
The Liaoning Province Women's Prison is situated in the Yuhong District in Shenyang City, not too far from the Masanjia Labor Camp in Shenyang City. Inside the prison are more than a dozen inmate buildings and forced labor workshops with nearly 3000 prisoners. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has stipulated that "infected patients are not allowed to be admitted to prison." Then how can a hospital for infectious diseases be constructed inside a prison? Moreover, the CCP keeps criminals in prison and the security level is very high, so how can it possibly be used as a public place to treat infectious diseases? Obviously the prison is used for other purposes that cannot be revealed.
At present, the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong has reached inhumane degrees. The evil act of harvesting organs from living practitioners at concentration camps such as the Sujiatun Concentration Camp in Shenyang City has already been condemned by just people all over the world. Besides burning the corpses to destroy the evidence, the CCP is transferring them all over the place. In prisons it is very common that those practitioners who do not "reform" are suddenly taken away and disappear without a trace.
Regarding this, we ask the relevant international organizations to conduct further investigations. We also ask those who know the situations to provide more concrete, detailed reports to the Minghui/Clearwisdom website and the related international organizations. In the meantime, all just people in the world, together with the Chinese people, please stop the evil conduct of the Chinese Communist Party.
Let our practitioners send forth formidable righteous thoughts and thoroughly disintegrate these evil dens where Falun Dafa practitioners are persecuted.

On June 20, 2003, Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Cui Jian and Ms. Liu Cuiping were suddenly arrested by police officers and transferred to the Tiexi District Police Department in Shenyang City. The police utilized many cruel methods to torture Mr. Cui, including brutal beatings, burning his fingers with cigarette lighters, threatening him with a knife, using needles to stab his fingers and toes, forbidding him to sleep for four consecutive days and nights, and handcuffing him against a wall with his arms behind his back. The handcuffs dug into his flesh, and both of his hands became swollen and numb.
Five months later, the Tiexi District Court put the two on trial and illegally sentenced Mr. Cui Jian and Ms. Liu Cuiping to 10 years and 4 years in prison, respectively. Cui Jian now is detained in Fushun City Second Prison in Liaoning Province, while Liu Cuiping is held in the Liaoning Province Women's Prison. Mr. Cui's ten-year-old child now has to live with grandparents, who are in their seventies.

On January 30, 2007, Liang Ying, a Dafa practitioner from Chicheng County, Hebei Province was reported to the police while she was distributing truth-clarification materials in her hometown, Mayingxiang. Public security police from Tianjiayao District secretly followed and arrested her. She was then sent to a detention center in the city of Zhangjiakou.
Ms. Liang Ying started practicing Falun Dafa in 1995. In May 2001, she traveled to Beijing to validate Dafa. She was later arrested and sentenced to prison for five years, and was not released until May 9, 2006. On September 28, 2006, because she clarified the truth in public, she was arrested by police from Tianjiayao District, Chicheng County and jailed for 15 days in the Shisanli Detention Center in Zhangjiakou City. Just three months later, she was again arrested by police.

During Jan. 23-24, 2007, the City of Laizhou 610 Office and national security departments arrested 23 practitioners in the Laizhou Department Store, Laizhou Theater, Statue Park, and various bus stations. They are currently detained in brainwashing centers in Dianzi.

2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Jiang Bin Arrested
At 8:10 a.m. on January 13, 2007, the police department in Ganjinzi district in Dalian and the police station in Sandaogou sent more than 20 policemen to arrest Dafa practitioner Jiang Bin. They broke into the house rented by Jiang Bin's family and ransacked it. During the process, a policeman hit Jiang Bin's wife Ms. Wang Lina twice.
Jiang Bin's father tried to stop the police and was beaten. After the ransacking, the police forcefully took away Jiang Bin's mother Ms. Ye Cuiran. Currently, Wang Lina and their child are homeless. Jiang Bin was arrested and detained at the Yaojia Detention Center.

3. [Qiqihaer City, Heilongjiang Province] 70 Practitioners are Under Persecution in Forced Labor Camps
Qiqihaer City Forced Labor Camp currently detains practitioners under various terms. Once practitioners are detained, they are forcefully brainwashed and forced to sit on "iron chairs." If they refuse to write the "Four Statements," they are deprived of sleep day and night and subjected to brainwashing. Practitioners are not allowed to talk to each other. Their family members are forced to curse Teacher and Dafa in order to be allowed to visit.
4. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Practitioner Zhang Haiyan Arrested
In the early morning of January 27, 2007, policemen from the Mingkang Road Police Station of Nanguan district in Changchun city broke into the home of practitioner Ms. Zhang Haiyan. Later, they went to her mother's home and beauty salon and took away their computer. On January 22, 2007, practitioner Ms. Fu Xian from Chaoyang District was arrested.
5. [Laiohe Oil Field, Liaoning Province] Sun Fengjie and Two Other Practitioners Arrested
In the afternoon of January 25, 2007, practitioner Ms. Sun Fengjie and Ms. Cao were arrested by policemen from the Jinzhou Oil Field. Practitioner Zhao Dan was also arrested. Currently they are being detained in the police department of Jinzhou Oil Field. The three of them are currently holding hunger strikes to protest the arrest.

7. [Nong-an, Jilin Province] Practitioner Li Xihong Arrested
In the afternoon of January 26, 2007, policemen from Qinshan county police station, led by Village Secretary of Tangjia Village Zang Qing, broke into the home of practitioner Mr. Li Xihong and arrested him. They also seized Dafa books and some truth clarification material.

On January 23, 2007, practitioners from Jilin City Mr. Feng Shaogui, Mr. Xin Xin, and an anonymous practitioner were arrested by the Weichang police station and the Changyi police department. Later, their homes were ransacked. The three practitioners were taken to Jilin Detention Center.

Practitioner Ms. Zhou Yajin was arrested and illegally detained in the Xuanwu District Detention Center.

On January 27, 2007, two professors from Shanghai Sifan University, Mr. and Mrs. Guo Shenghuan, were arrested. The wife, Ms. Zhang Yuxia, is currently missing. Guo Shenghuan is still under detention and persecution.
11. [Changli County, Hebei Province] Practitioner Shen Yanru and Zhang Xiulin Detained
On January 18, 2007, practitioners from Zhijiatuo, Xinji town, Changli county, Hebei Province Ms. Shen Yanru (who is in her 50's) and Ms. Zhang Xiulin were clarifying the truth to people in a market. They were reported to police, and they were arrested and detained in the Changli County Detention Center while their homes were ransacked.

12. [Taian City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Ma Anying, Xu Hongzhi and Liu Hongxin Illegally Arrested
At around 7a.m. on Jan. 25, 2007, Taian practitioner Ms. Ma Anying was arrested by police. At 9 a.m. on January 26, six to seven policemen ransacked Ma Anying's home. During that period, practitioners Ms. Xu Hongzhi and Ms. Liu Hongxin, who were visiting her home at the time, were also arrested. At night, their homes were ransacked.
13. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Practitioner Liu Jingxian Illegally Arrested
Practitioner Ms. Liu Jingxian from Yishui County, Shandong Province went to the Eastern Market to distribute truth clarification materials at around 10 a.m. on January 12, 2007. She was stopped by the manager of the Second Store in the Eastern Market Zhu Wenxin and was arrested.

14. [Pinxiang, Jiangxi Province] Practitioner Liu Feng Illegally Arrested
In the afternoon of December 15, 2006, practitioner Mr. Liu Feng was arrested and his home was ransacked for distributing truth clarification materials. He is currently detained in the First Detention Center in Pinxiang City. Since July 20, 1999, practitioner Li Feng has been arrested and sentenced three times.
15. [Susong County, Anhui Province] Practitioner Zhang Lianzhi, Chen Ming and Tang Hexiang Detained
At the end of November 2006, Susong County Court in Anqing city, Anhui province secretly sentenced Mr. Zhang Lianzhi to three and half years and Mr. Chen Ming to three years in jail. Both of them have appealed to the Anqin City Central Court.
At around 9 a.m. on Jan. 16, 2006, practitioner Ms. Tang Hexiang was arrested in a store by national security agents from Anqing city and Susong county. She is currently detained in the Second Detention Center in Anqing city.
16. [Jishishan County, Gansu Province] Practitioner Lin Shengying Illegally Arrested
Practitioner Ms. Lin Shengying from Jishishan county, Gansu Province was arrested by local police while distributing truth clarifying materials on January 10, 2007. The materials and more than 400 yuan in cash were taken away. Later, policemen extorted her family members out of more than 500 yuan. Lin Shengying is currently illegally detained in a police station.
17. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Zhenhuan Arrested by Local Police
Practitioner Ms. Wang Zhenhuan from Pengnan town, Pengxi county was arrested by local police on January 16, 2007. Her home was also ransacked.
18. [Nanchong, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Xiang Lin Persecuted
The hospital of Gaopinchuan Central Jail in Nanchong, Sichuan Province conducted brutal persecution of Mr. Xiang Lin. The jail sent inmates to watch him and frequently searched his body.
19. [Handan, Hebei Province] Practitioners Ren Binxian and Wang Manqing Persecuted
Practitioner couple Mr. Ren Binxian and Ms. Wang Manqing live in Beiyingfeng village in Zhangerzhuang county, Wei county, Handan area, Hebei province.
Ren Bingxian, 37, had been homeless since end of November 2001. He was arrested by police while traveling to Puyang city, Henan at the end October 2003. Ren Binxian was illegally sentenced to 7 years in prison, He is currently detained in Yidong Prison in Hebei province.
Wang Manqing became homeless in 2002. She was arrested in January 2004 and sentenced to three years in Shibalihe Labor Camp in Zhengzhou, Henan. Wang Manqing held a hunger strike there until she was dying. She was then sent back home.
(Clearwisdom.net) A "solemn declaration" is a person's public statement declaring to the world that whatever he or she has done or said under duress or deception that was against Falun Dafa is null and void. Most of these statements have come from Falun Dafa practitioners in China who wished to express regret that, in the face of physical torture and brainwashing, they had signed documents renouncing Dafa and guaranteeing not to practice again. Also, as more and more people in China learn the truth about how they have been deceived and lied to by the Jiang regime, many non-practitioners are also submitting "solemn declarations."

Following the onset of reform in 1978, China has become the world's factory. By late February, its foreign exchange reserves had reached a total of US$853.7 billion, surpassing Japan's US$831.6 billion to become the largest in the world.
Meanwhile, the human rights of the Chinese people remain severely restricted -- as can be seen from a widely reported letter to the State Council by Li Changping former party secretary of a rural district of Jianli County, Hubei Province, in which he talks about the exploitation of farmers, or in Chen Guidi's and Wu Chuntao's extensive A Survey of Chinese Peasants, which describes the plight of farmers.
In step with the times, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is now "globalizing" its clampdown on human rights, a process that can be roughly divided into three parts.
First, the CCP is capitalizing on the enormous business opportunities that have followed on China's internationalization to entice the international community to help it suppress human rights. Companies such as Yahoo, Google, Microsoft and Skype have agreed to install keyword software to enable the filtering out of unwanted information from their networks.
The second part consists of a clampdown on human rights by multinational companies themselves. In 2003, the US cosmetics firm Mary Kay and German carmaker Volkswagen gave in to the CCP's demands that they fire anyone practicing Falun Gong in the work place.
The Chinese government has also taken advantage of its system of labor reformation camps and prisons and laid down preferential treatment policies aimed at encouraging and attracting joint ventures.
Products from these joint ventures are exported to 13 countries and regions, including the US, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.
The third part consists of the CCP "exporting" its suppression of human rights. This includes using hard cash to gain control of Chinese-language media around the world and turn them into CCP mouthpieces.
China even resorts to violent persecution of Falun Gong followers around the world. Some examples are the shooting of a Falun Gong practitioner in South Africa, the attack on Li Yuan, the Epoch Times' technical supervisor, in his Atlanta, Georgia, home, and break-ins in Epoch Times offices in Hong Kong, Taiwan and other places.
A review of China's global clampdown on human rights turns up an endless list of such incidents.
The international community has long stood by silently and ignored China's actions, in effect providing indirect encouragement. One example is how the UN's Human Rights Commission was unable to add China's human-rights abuses to its agenda. The commission was recently abolished and replaced by a Human Rights Council, but the problem remains equally serious, as many countries with deplorable human-rights records are members of the new council.
There are, of course, improvements, as China's human-rights problems are receiving more attention. One example is how the US recently called Google, Yahoo, Microsoft and Cisco Systems to a congressional hearing to answer to suspicions that they are assisting China's human-rights abuses.
US President George W. Bush has also met with three Chinese Christians in the White House, and during a recent visit to China, German Chancellor Angela Merkel met with Chen and three other people in the German embassy in Beijing to find out more about China's agricultural problems.

(Clearwisdom.net) It was August 21, 1994. I was fortunate to attended Master's lectures in Yanji City, Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province. At the lecture, I witnessed the miracles and mysteries of Falun Dafa.
When Master came into the lecture room, all Falun Dafa practitioners stood up and applauded. The scene was spectacular and beyond words. When I recall it now, it's like it happened yesterday. It's crystal clear. Master waved his hands to greet everyone, motioned them to sit down and began to give his lectures. At this moment, I unconsciously had tears flowing, and I did not know why. During the last lecture, Master explained the reason. At that moment, I knew that in another dimension, I was moved to tears. This made me realize even more completely that Falun Dafa is a special practice. I became determined to cultivate this practice during my lifetime and to cultivate well.
I also heard the sound of Faluns spinning in the air of the lecture room. The sound was very loud. It was like the sound of a vehicle engine.
I saw layers of light rings, and the rings changed colors occasionally. They were beautiful. In the air, there were also light balls, the color of chrysanthemums. I understood in my later cultivation that those were the beings from other dimensions who were also listening to Master's lectures.
When Master taught the exercise movements of the practice to Falun Dafa disciples after the lectures, Master walked around to check the disciples' hand movements. I saw a big ring of light around Master. When Master walked forward, the ring came forward too. How miraculous it was!
One student who was sitting in one of the rows in front my seat was sick. His family member had carried him to the lecture room to listen to the Fa for the first few days. Later, I noticed that he did not need to be carried. He walked into the lecture room on his own. This is testimony to Falun Dafa's mysterious power.
Fellow practitioners, let us treasure this time, do well the three things required by Master, save more sentient beings, and be deserving of the title of Falun Dafa disciples in the Fa-rectification period.

1. Validate the Fa with Righteous Thoughts; Deny the Old Forces' Persecution
I was most delighted to have obtained the Fa in May 1997. After the Chinese Communist Party started to suppress Falun Gong in 1999, I traveled down to Beijing from Liaoning Province four times to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. As a result of exercising my constitutional right to appeal, I was imprisoned and tortured during my illegal detention. The police tortured me with a leather whip, force-fed me with wine, put cigarettes in my mouth [knowing that Falun Gong practitioners do not touch alcohol or cigarettes], made me stand still for long hours while balancing a wine glass on top of my head, making me wear handcuffs for long hours, etc. A policewoman jeered me when she was beating me, "Cursed old woman! I will have you practice Falun Gong in a crematory oven!" On my third trip to Beijing by bicycle, the police extorted 4,150 yuan from me.
On December 26, 1999, I was sentenced to the Fushun City Forced Labor Camp in Liaoning Province for 66 days.
On March 1, 2000, all the female Falun Gong practitioners imprisoned in the Fushun City Forced Labor Camp were transferred to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. At the time, the female practitioners incarcerated at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp included a lot of intellectuals and professionals from around the country. There were college professors, instructors at the Air Force, translators, senior-level engineers, a local government propaganda official, and even a county mayor. I stood out as a lowly factory worker that did not even finish elementary school. While I was imprisoned in Room One of Building Two at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, 80 percent of the female practitioners there were either managers or college students. One of them was a physician in the army.
After my third attempt to appeal for Falun Gong, I was fired by the security department of the factory. Because I had not been able to read Teacher's new articles for a long time, I handed in a button with the words "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance" that I used to wear on my jacket.
As soon as I was released from the camp on August 6, 2000, I went looking for a copy of Zhuan Falun. Fellow practitioners called on me and brought me a copy of Teacher's three new articles, including "Drive Out Interference," "Rationality," and "Eliminate Your Last Attachment(s)." In "Rationality" Teacher said,
"Stepping forward to validate the Fa using many different approaches is a magnificent act, but this absolutely does not mean that you have to be arrested by the evil." (in Essentials for Further Advancement II)
In this article, Teacher pointed out that it was wrong for me to cooperate with the police when they tried to arrest me and that we ought to validate the Fa rationally.
But it was not until Teacher published "A Suggestion" on April 10, 2001 that I truly realized that I had been wrong to play with words to pretend to renounce Falun Gong in writing at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, thinking I did not actually renounce Falun Gong and it was all pretense.
2. My Solemn Statement and Another Trip to Beijing to Validate Falun Gong
After four months of Fa study and cultivation, as well as encouragements from fellow practitioners, I wrote a solemn statement to declare my words and deeds at Masanjia as null and void on December 22, 2001. I then left for Beijing for the fourth time to validate the Fa on December 28, 2001. I went to Tiananmen Square and unfurled a banner. I shouted aloud from the bottom of my heart, "Falun Gong is good! Falun Gong is good!" I hung the banner on a pine tree near Tiananmen Square before I left and took a train back home that day. At noon of December 29, I arrived home safely under Teacher's protection.
3. Validating Falun Gong and Clarifying the Truth in Every Environment and Occasion
Since January 2002 I have posted Falun Gong truth-clarification materials on the streets. I started by posting one to five copies and then ten copies. Similarly, I started from distributing one truth-clarification pamphlet to five, and then ten copies. I started from hanging three banners I made on the streets, to hanging all the banners I got from truth-clarification materials production sites. I rode my bicycle and hung the banners along the streets or along the railways.
The most memorable experience I had was when I hung a banner at night in September 2002. It was a large banner one meter in width and nine meters in length. I hung it in the recreational area in my factory. The message on the banner was, "Falun Gong Saves People." Nobody knew who did it, but someone hung a string of fireworks next to the banner, which corresponded to the theme of celebration on the banner.
After I published my solemn statement, I went to the local truth-clarification materials production site about twice a week until Teacher published a new article entitled, "Tathagata" on May 13, 2002. I divided the materials into two piles—one pile for fellow practitioners and the other for me. I put the materials in a plastic bag and carried them with me at all times, along with two pieces of chalk and a red marker, so that I could validate the Fa at opportune occasions.
This is how I clarified the truth: I would clarify the truth to people when I was doing errands or going out for a walk, by walking along with them on the streets. When I saw a utility pole or a large tree, I would write, "Falun Gong is good" on it. When I saw a utility pole or a tree on a small trail, I would hang a few truth-clarification pamphlets, VCDs, or Falun Gong amulets wrapped in a plastic bag in case of rain. There are mostly pebbles and rocks on the roads, and trees, even small ones are rare. I would write "Falun Gong is good" and "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is good" on small trees and smooth rocks. In some villages and mountains, the roads are very clean. Cow herders usually lean on a large tree while the cows graze. They have a lot of free time. I put new materials on the trees every day and every day these cow herders would go pick up the materials and read them while the cows grazed. After they returned to their villages, they spread the truth for us and praised Falun Gong for its magnificence and miracles. During the spring and autumn, the farm fields became an excellent place to spread the Fa and clarify the truth. Farmers' weddings also provided excellent opportunities to clarify the truth. Village weddings usually run for three days. If you are originally from a large clan in a village and go home to attend your niece's, nephew's, or other relatives' wedding, you will be able to spread the truth to the entire village and even neighboring villages during the two nights of your stay. You will be able to clarify the truth and distribute truth-clarification materials in person.
Next, I would like to share how I clarified the truth in the urban areas. In 2002, my factory decided to relocate to the city. I sent forth righteous thoughts when I looked for a new home in the city, since saving sentient beings is my top priority, followed by housing. With every house I looked at, I sent forth righteous thoughts.
During the house-hunting process, a seller obtained the Fa. (Later, he was illegally detained for three days for practicing Falun Gong.) I also met a lay Buddhist, who had read Zhuan Falun before the persecution of Falun Gong started in 1999. She knows the truth about Falun Gong. In fact, I had lunch at her home once and sent forth righteous thoughts at noon there.
In May 2002, fellow practitioners in the city reported a shortage of truth-clarification materials. How could we pass on materials to those fellow practitioners in the city? I volunteered for the logistics function. It was 220 miles between the village and the city, but I have never procrastinated in the weekly delivery of truth-clarification materials because of weather. During the process of delivery, I get to exchange cultivation experiences with fellow practitioners, and we help solve each other's cultivation problems and elevate together in cultivation practice.
4. Helping Fellow Practitioners with a Setback
A veteran practitioner in his 70s used to be a Falun Gong volunteer assistant before July 20, 1999 (when the persecution began). Due to a variety of reasons, he had not stepped out for the Fa for a long time. As a result, all his sickness karma returned. He had been admitted to the hospital a few times already, but the injections he received did not help. His wife once ran into me and invited me over. He told me, "I don't have any gong left. I am done for." He briefly gave me a litany of his illnesses. Before he continued, I told him, "Why don't you find a few fellow practitioners to send forth righteous thoughts for you and eradicate the evil elements interfering with your body? A cultivator does not have any illness. The symptoms you are experiencing are nothing. 'A tiny finger will be more than enough to crush it.' ("Spirit or Animal Possession" from Lecture Three of Zhuan Falun) I will tell fellow practitioners about your situation when I go back home and ask them to send forth righteous thoughts for you. You should tell fellow practitioners in your area as well." Two months later, his wife ran into me again. This time she told me excitedly, "Since he got well, I often go out with him to distribute truth-clarification materials. I worry about him if he goes alone." Although she did not practice Falun Gong, she has been clarifying the truth about Falun Gong and distributing truth-clarification materials.
As Falun Gong practitioners, we must be more diligent.
Please allow me to share a passage of the Fa. Teacher said,
"A Dafa disciple should put the Fa first in everything he does--whenever you evaluate something you have to consider the Fa first." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Boston")
Due to my lack of education, I hesitated for a long time to write this article. Please kindly point out anything inappropriate in my understanding.
(Clearwisdom.net) I have cultivated in religion for thirteen years and had become a nun in the Daming Mountain and Xiaomiao Convent. Because religions are in the Dharma-ending period, I was not truly cultivating. As a result, my xinxing had not improved, and my body had not changed, which resulted in my poor physical health. I could not even look after myself. In September 1997, I got a hold of the book, Zhuan Falun. The course of my life was altered. In the beginning I did not study the Fa well, leading to a poor comprehension of the Fa. I also regarded the Fa as a safety net. I thought that once I was introduced to the Fa, I was assured of safety and thus took it for granted. I didn't regard the Fa as the most important thing, but made it into a tool for self-protection.
I have made some mistakes along my cultivation path. Although I didn't deviate from the Fa, I haven’t done very well. I harbor doubts, lack courage, and I am afraid of meeting strangers. After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, my attachments were exposed, including the attachment to fear and to myself. In addition, I dared not clarify the truth. With the help of many practitioners, I began to distribute truth-clarifying materials and persuaded a few people to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Since I am a nun, I have few opportunities to clarify the truth alongside other practitioners. Although I don’t clarify the truth well and also have myopia, merciful Master has always lent me strength. One time when I distributed truth-clarifying materials very early in the morning, there was a step that was six or seven inches high. I had not seen it clearly and thus had not taken a secure step. However, when I took a step I felt it firmly. Had it not been for Master’s help, I would fallen hard for sure.
I left the convent after I began Fa study and have not returned there since the persecution began. Because the CCP had overtaken all the temples and destroyed many of them, I have no fixed place to live. In 2000, I was illegally detained for half a year. In 2001, the evil interfered with me to the point where I could no longer live at my older brother’s home. In addition, I could not return to the convent. I had to wander about and endured the hardships of an arduous journey. I had no truth-clarifying materials to distribute during that time. I used kids’ paper food bags and turned them inside-out, and then wrote some truth-clarifying words on them. With a small stick I fixed them on the walls of street-side booths or used string to hang them from tree branches. Thanks to hints from Master, I escaped from dangerous situations several times. I don’t feel afraid because I know that Master is beside me at all times. I slept in a cave once, which was actually a dangerous place, but with Master’s hints I left. When I was nearly asleep, I heard a voice telling me to cultivate diligently.
During the persecution of Falun Gong, there have been a lot of monks or nuns who are Falun Dafa disciples. I often read articles on the Minghui/Clearwisdom website about practitioners' insights and experiences, written by Dafa disciples in secular society. Never have I seen articles written by monks or nuns who are Dafa disciples. My literacy level is not high and I am afraid that I cannot write well. A fellow practitioner said that we should write down what we had done during these years, regardless of how well or poorly we did. As long as each of us cultivates in Dafa, we all have worthwhile experiences to share. At the same time, during the process of writing, many of our attachments become apparent to us.
These years I have had no fixed place to live and have passed many nights in temples. In temples, monks or nuns have to go chant the scriptures at the main hall, and I was not sure what Dafa disciples were to do. Sometimes I lived with disciples of other religions, and went to the main hall in the morning and evening. They chanted the Buddhist scriptures loudly, and I recited Lunyu with a low voice. When I lived in a temple alone, I didn’t go to the main hall to chant the scriptures. I only burned incense in the morning and evening. At that time I didn’t have Master's portrait hung up, as at the time it was not appropriate to have Master’s portrait hung up in temples. At that time the interference was very strong. After living at one temple for a year, I left. Recently I went to a small temple, in which there were three statues. On the first night I made a request to Master for consecration. However, the inference was still enormous. I was too afraid to fall asleep. The next day I shared experiences with local fellow practitioners, and a practitioner told me that it was not necessary for me to worry because I had already made a request to Master to eliminate the interference. I returned to the temple and asked an old lady to accompany me. I used water to write the word "mie" ["eliminate"] on the body of the statues. Moreover, I burned all the things that should and could be burned, and made a request to Master to eliminate all the deviated factors in that environment. After that I no longer felt afraid and fell asleep. I asked Master to consecrate the statues if they could still be consecrated, and if not, then to please eliminate the evil factors from them.
At present, I go to the main hall in the morning and evening. As I rap on the wooden instruments there, I recite: "Falun Dafa is good," "Falun Dafa is righteous" (three times), "Salvation Again" in Hong Yin (one time), "Lunyu" (three times or nine times), "Salvation Again" in Hong Yin, and "The Great Kalpa" in Hong Yin II.
As I burn incense for Master, I recite as follows: "Master Li Hongzhi" (three times), and then recite,
"The incense burner gathers in all demons
that seek to wreak havoc on the Fa
Fine tripods incinerate those spirits
who defy the Fa"

Several fellow practitioners in our region began to clarify the truth to people, but most of them still go to the temple to burn incense. These practitioners came to understand that these temples had a bad influence on people, so these practitioners went to a place near the temple and sent forth righteous thoughts. When they sent forth righteous thoughts, they could heard a huge voice, but they could not see anything. Sometimes they saw black, thick smoke. After eliminating the bad factors, they saw in their dreams that the small statues fell down and then perished. The big statues didn’t perish, but could only remain fixed in place with their eyes blinking. Afterwards, they found that the local people were more readily open to the truth about Dafa, and some began to practice Falun Gong.
Nowadays, most Buddhist monks don't truly cultivate. Even the monks who truly cultivate have not seen the genuine Dao, so it is difficult for them to cultivate. Nevertheless, they know that the Fa in today's Buddhism cannot save people. As a result, they have to wait for Buddha Maitreya or the Holy Falun King to come save people.
When I clarify the truth to disciples of religions, I talk about prophesies of Buddha Maitreya or the Holy Falun King descending to the world to save people. There is a female lay Buddhist who often went to the temple. She found that the people in the temple placed an emphasis on money. Later on I ran into her and told her that religions are in the Dharma-ending period, and it was difficult to cultivate in religions. I talked about the relationship between Falun Gong and Maitreya or the Holy Falun King. As a result, she began to practice Falun Gong, and later on her family began to cultivate, as well.
Once I showed a male lay Buddhist some poems from Hong Yin. I told him that the poems were written by our Master and there were a lot of other poems. He asked for the book to read. Because I had no extra copy of Hong Yin, I copied all of the poems from Hong Yin for him. Three days later he said, "Your Master’s poems are very good, do you have other books?" I replied that we had a variety of books, but the main one was Zhuan Falun. He said that he wanted a copy of the book. Several days later, I gave him a copy of Zhuan Falun. He said, "I want to bring all of this back to my hometown." More than ten days later, he came to the temple and said that the people in his hometown had welcomed the books he had brought back, and he was reading Zhuan Falun. In addition, he said that in the future he would become a Dafa disciple.
One time I went to a mid-sized temple that was located in a mountainous area and near the county seat. It hadn’t rained before the New Year, and there was no water in the ponds, so it was very difficult to wash and drink. In addition, they had to carry water from the foot of the mountain. After arriving there, I asked the monks if they had read Dafa truth-clarifying materials, and they replied that they had never read them. I brought several pieces of truth-clarifying literature with me. However, I dared not distribute them initially due to the attachment of fear. I made a request to Master to help me, and then gave the first booklet to them. Immediately it rained heavily. Afterwards, I gave another booklet to them, and it rained once more. After another period of time, I gave the third booklet to an old man when he was clearing away weeds. I gave him the booklet and told him to return it after reading it. He said that he had no time to read it on a clear day, only when it rained. On the next day, it was rainy. He read the booklet, and sincerely thanked me for helping him to understand the truth.
(Clearwisdom.net) An important issue has come to my attention. My computers, printers, and other electronic equipment seem to have a corresponding relationship with my health. Several times when my body was eliminating karma, my technical equipment has had problems as well. The more my body reacted to the elimination of the karma, the more I had problems with the equipment.
This summer my tooth suddenly started to ache. It hurt so badly that I was not able to sleep or do things as usual. At about the same time, one small gear on the rotating stick of my printer broke. This kind of gear is hard to find, so I ended up spending over 200 yuan to buy a new rotating stick. This printer is old and not worth much. I had an urgent job to do, so I bought the stick to be able to use the printer.
I wondered why this was happening. I realized that I had not practiced the exercises on a regular basis for a long time, which affected the transformation of my benti (body in this and other dimensions). I surmised that the hardware of the electronic units could possibly have a corresponding relationship with my benti and the software probably had a corresponding relationship with my xinxing.
I also discovered that because I was busy with work at the truth clarification materials production site, I studied the Fa diligently. However, it was easy to use my work at the materials production site as an excuse for not doing the exercises or for not doing them often.
This has been especially true for the last several days; almost all the equipment I am using has had problems. Even the equipment that should not have had any problems has had problems. I don't have enough time to repair everything. In the meantime, my body experienced a severe karma-eliminating reaction. Several nights ago, I had a very bad stomachache. For a few days, I had a fever and my tooth started aching again. When I was in a healthy state, my equipment rarely had problems and required only routine maintenance.
Therefore, I believe that the breakdown in my equipment is closely related to not practicing the exercises daily over a long period of time. Of course, this reasoning may not apply to every practitioner handling technical equipment. I wrote this article to monitor and encourage myself to do better, and to remind practitioners with similar problems to pay attention to Fa study and to doing the exercises diligently.
(Clearwisdom.net) Over the last year, I have gained a lot of cultivation experience. I have deeply felt that, while on the path of cultivation, I cannot slack off. In every step I take, I need to strictly do the three things Teacher requires of us, assimilating to the Fa as I validate Dafa. Only then can I fulfill a Dafa practitioner's sacred vow in the Fa-rectification period.
Validating Dafa While Looking for a Job
I wrote and edited articles for a magazine last year. I wrote a lot of articles exposing the vicious Communist Party's evil acts and talking about Dafa. Because of the large quantity of articles and the clear position in the articles, my boss was very anxious. My boss has repeatedly publicly praised my work ethic and productivity in employee meetings. However, he was still afraid that my "extreme actions" could affect the magazine's survival. Because of this, my boss talked to me two or three times. I didn't pay any heed to the fact that my actions were too much for him, and I still continued in my ways. After the Chinese New Year, he suddenly fired me. I felt it was unfair because I indeed enhanced the magazine's reputation, quality of articles, and circulation rate. However, I quickly realized that this incident was related to my cultivation. Because I was in a hurry to save sentient beings, I didn't understand very well the Fa principle of harmonizing everything. Moreover, I did not pay attention to eliminating the evil's control from other dimensions over the magazine. During that period of time, I felt that I received only about one tenth of the value I created. My attachment to money had been enlarged. On the surface, I wanted to have more income as a Dafa practitioner because it was beneficial for validating the Fa. In fact, my attachment to money was mixed in and hidden within this wish.
Losing that job caused financial difficulty in my life. My family complained and put pressure on me because of the lack of income. In fact, the more serious issue was that I lost a good environment to validate the Fa, causing losses. Then I began to calmly look inside for the cause.
A previous boss (who also knew a lot about Dafa) heard that I left that magazine. He quickly asked me to come and work for him. At the same time, he promised me a salary increase and to place me in an important position. I knew that this offer appeared because many practitioners have helped people learn the truth during Fa-rectification, so management in many companies are willing to hire practitioners. I didn't accept the offer right away because I wanted the opportunity to meet and save more people. So I went to some companies, including government facilities, to seek job opportunities.
When I applied for a job, I tried to create opportunities to show them the report I had written to request my old job back (the one I was fired from). I used this method to let them know the facts about Dafa and prepare them for further truth-clarification. Sometimes, they shared the report with others. Once, a vice-president told me that he had seen the material. It had been shared with him by the president. He said that the article was written in a clear manner, with strong points but soft tone.
I clarified the truth through all kinds of methods. Many companies' management and employees got to know the truth about Dafa. Several months later, I finally responded to the offer and went to work for the company that I used to work for. It was where my destiny led me. I kept in mind Teacher's words, "Gods walk the earth, validating the Fa." ("What's to Fear?" in Hong Ying II) I incorporated Dafa truth-clarification into my work. More new employees learned the truth and withdrew from the Chinese Communist Party and affiliated organizations. Some of them even began to learn Dafa and read Zhuan Falun. The company president said that he might practice Falun Gong in the future.
Soon after that, because my work was recognized by the president and fellow employees, I was voted to be the secretariat of the industry association. I was in charge of coordinating various events in the industry. I was also responsible for editing several internal publications. Both my work environment and time became advantageous to validating the Fa.
My boss also asked me to recommend Dafa practitioners to fill some very important positions. He gave good salaries to those that I recommended.
I understood that these changes occurred because I had corrected my state of mind, words, and behavior in the Fa. At the same time, I came to further understand Teacher's words,
"An everyday person cannot detect the existence of this characteristic, Zhen-Shan-Ren, in the universe, because everyday people are all on the same level. When you rise above the level of everyday people, you will be able to detect it. How do you detect it? All matter in the universe, including all substances that permeate the universe, are living beings with thinking minds, and all of them are forms of existence of the universe’s Fa at different levels. They do not let you ascend. Though you want to ascend, you cannot. They just do not let you move up. Why don’t they let you move up? It is because your xinxing has not improved. There are different criteria for every level. If you want to reach a higher level, you must abandon your ill thoughts and clean out your filthy things in order to assimilate to the requirements of the standard at that level. Only by doing so can you ascend." ("Lecture One" in Zhuan Falun)
I saw that only when I assimilated to "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance," the characteristic of the universe, did everything go smoothly. Because I had increased my level, the external environment had accordingly improved.
Incorporating Truth-clarification Into My Request to Resume My Old Job
It was not long after the evil's persecution began that I was fired. I understood from the Fa that I must defy all of the evil's arrangements, including financial persecution against practitioners. Therefore, in the two years after I was fired, I worked at a temporary job while requesting to resume my old job. In the meantime, I clarified the truth to a wide range of people. After this year's Chinese New Year, I was laid off from the temporary job. I decided to use the time to study the Fa thoroughly, and then go back to my former employer and request my old job back.
Earlier, I had written a report requesting my previous job back. It was eight thousand words in length. I tried to meld the compassion of Dafa into the text. I sent forth righteous thoughts to have this report eliminate the evil and all elements of the Communist evil specter within the readers, giving people a chance to know the truth, to awaken, and to be saved. Once this report was written, I wasn't in a hurry to present it. In two months' time, I had asked fellow practitioners' opinions and modified it more than twenty times. In fact, many of my bad notions, my Communist Party's way of thinking, and previously unrecognized attachments were eliminated in the revision process. Once the report was completed, a lot of people including my family, friends, colleagues, and former classmates clearly saw the evil's cruelty and learned the truth about Dafa. Some of the mid-level managers in my former company read and shared the report. Some said to me, "When you came in before and requested to have your job back, I didn't have time to talk about it with you in detail. I read the material this time and learned more. I saw some stories (about how the evil Communist Party persecutes Dafa) on the Internet. They are indeed real."
I have requested my old job back (at my former company and related departments) over twenty times. Recently, I used an opportunity at the association to make the request again. Some practitioners didn't approve of my doing so repeatedly. However, I think that requesting my job back and clarifying the truth go hand in hand. The significance of it is that I saved sentient beings while defying the evil's financial persecution. I feel that cultivation doesn't have role models. When someone says that something is not working, it may not be the case. If I've understood the Fa principle, I will do things accordingly without relying on anybody and while having my own independent thoughts. Just like that, every once a while and whenever the opportunity came up, I would go and request my old job back. I gained new understandings in the process of truth-clarification each time.
As long as we cultivate ourselves well, we will be able to steadfastly do anything. I remember that in an experience-sharing meeting, one practitioner talked about his experience of distributing hundreds of fliers and materials every day over the past few years. He realized that when he steadfastly studied the Fa, did the exercises, sent forth righteous thoughts every day, and did things in accordance with Teacher's requirements, he would foster the heart of compassion. Holding that pure heart for saving people, his trips to distribute fliers went very smoothly. He was able to avoid the occasional interference with ease. It seems that cultivating oneself well is the basis for validating the Fa and clarifying the truth.
Looking back at my cultivation path, I've had a lot of experiences and gained understandings. I deeply feel the seriousness of cultivation. In my daily life and work, I often encounter various forms of interference and tests. Sometimes, when I have neglected them, the attachments were enlarged, and demons would use them against me. Sometimes, when my complacency emerged, I wasn't calm, and trouble followed. In the final leg of Fa-rectification cultivation, with Teacher's empowerment, I must always keep up my righteous thoughts and completely defy the old force's arrangements, cultivate myself well, validate Dafa, and let the Buddha light of "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance" shine from myself. Let the Buddha light of "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance" illuminate all predestined beings.
(Clearwisdom.net) This incident happened over seven years ago, but the memory of it is still fresh in my mind. At that time, my son was studying in Grade Two of the No. 2 High School in Jiamusi. After a whole day of class, he still had a late self-study class in the evening.
I remember the evening of October 9, 1999, when my son had just finished the evening class and was riding his bike back home. When he arrived at the gate of Anju Residential District, a taxi suddenly stopped at the gate of the district and blocked him. At the same time, another taxi rushed toward my son and knocked him down. My son could not avoid the taxi and he closed his eyes and thought: "I am finished." The taxi hit him and threw him over 20 meters. He made three turns and fell down on the ground. He whirled around several turns and then lost consciousness. Manager Zhang of the Powder Factory of Zhongshan Road West witnessed the whole incident and he stayed with my son who regained consciousness five minutes later.
After I received notice of the accident, I rushed to the district gate. At that time, that section of Zhongshan Road was jammed with traffic and a crowd of onlookers. I saw one damaged car stopped outside the gate. I wondered which car it hit because it looked so distressing. The car lights were broken, the hood was collapsed, the windshield was smashed, and the right side of the vehicle was collapsed.
I found my son's bike over 30 meters away from the car. I took a look and saw that the car that hit him had fallen apart. The back wheel was on the east side of the road and the front wheel was on the west side of the road. At this time I heard someone say, "He is standing up" and I followed the voice and found my son. He was really standing up! I asked in a hurry, "How do you feel? Are you all right? If not, let's go to the hospital?"
My son said, "I am all right. I don't need to go to the hospital." I took him to sit on some steps by the side of the road. At this time, the people surrounding us said, "Hurry up and go to the hospital! You should ask the driver for money and even if you ask for 20,000 yuan, he has to pay it!"
At that time, I had just been a practitioner for one year and my son had read Zhuan Falun six times. He knew that he should follow Master's requirements. My son cried and said, "It is Master Li who has protected me."
Later, I heard the head of the Xiangyang Traffic Police team say, "On that evening there were three accidents and this was the most serious one. But the most serious accident was handled in the simplest way. That child didn't go to a hospital and didn't take any medicine, nor did he blackmail the driver for any money. That child must be a Falun Gong practitioner."
The taxi that hit my son was sent for repair and the body repairman said, "His car must have crashed into a tank. How smashed up it looks!" The traffic policeman who didn't know the situation said, "Finished. The victim of that accident must have died."
But my son was protected by Master Li and he was safe. My son went to school the next day.
(Clearwsdom.net) I am a 38 year-old pracititoner from Turkey. I was raised and educated in New York but I moved to Turkey five years ago. I am an Assistant Professor at Çağ University, where I teach Law and Human Rights. Before I came to Turkey I was a lawyer and a judge. I became a Falun Dafa practitioner after meeting another lecturer at Çağ University.
I am probably the most suspicious person in the world when it comes to beliefs. I am a lawyer, I look for evidence. I insist on tangible signs. And yet when I read the book Zhuan Falun, I felt that everything that I had seen in the world constituted evidence for what is described in this book about "Truthfulnes, Compassion, Forbearance." All of a sudden, everything made sense. My intuition fit perfectly with the information imparted by the book.
Since becoming a Falun Dafa cultivator I have noticed the following changes in myself: After years of suffering from medical problems in my back, it is now practically painfree. I am more peaceful. I no longer yell at my children. I am less anxious. I have become the person I always wanted to be. I am less emotional, something against which I have fought all my life. I feel protected. I recently entered a swimming competition in İstanbul, in the Bosphorus. We had to swim six miles in open water. I have always known that great white sharks swim in those waters, and in the five years I have participated in this race, I was petrified that I might be a victim of a shark attack. This summer I entered the water feeling completely confident that Master was protecting me. I did my fastest swim ever and took second place in the race.
But to me Falun Dafa is more than protection and emotional peace. Through the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" I have learned that the road to being fulfilled was simpler than I ever thought. Three simple words, and yet together they symbolize everything I ever wanted to be.
Falun Dafa has centered me. Falun Dafa gave me the knowledge I needed to learn about life and how to live meaningfully. I truly believe that the purpose of life is a life of purpose. This is what Falun Dafa gave me.
There is a saying that all that is needed for evil to triumph, is for good people to do nothing. With this in mind, I now teach human rights to university students. I teach them about the atrocities commited against Falun Dafa practitioners in China, and I do the best I can to educate people from the perspective of my profession, on Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.
I now feel like I have my direction laid out for me, and I know where I am heading. I am so grateful, so gratetful that I was introduced to Falun Dafa.
(Clearwisdom.net) Because I said, "Falun Dafa is good," I was taken to a labor camp by the evil Chinese Communist Party.
At the labor camp, regular prisoners who are sentenced to forced labor are mistreated physically, but Falun Gong practitioners are mistreated both physically and mentally. In addition to the heavy labor, practitioners are subjected to forced brainwashing attempts, are compelled to write reports on what they think and are forced to talk about their thoughts on Falun Gong. The aim is to make practitioners give up and stop practicing Falun Gong.
At that time, there were six practitioners in my cell. We all cultivated as a whole body with determination. We helped each other and efficiently denied the persecution from the evil. In addition, we also tried to seize all opportunities to clarify the truth to other people who were also sentenced to the forced labor camp.
One time, when I talked to a drug addict about the persecution of Falun Gong, I was surprised at his clear analysis.
He said, "Your master Mr. Li Hongzhi is so powerful that I admire him so much. In such a society, with science and technology developing dramatically, it is understandable that a person that has had such achievements in a single field or several fields would impact so many people. It is achievable if someone put much effort into it. However, it is very difficult to do as your teacher has done, convincing so many people in all kinds of fields. These people are willing to study and practice [Falun Gong]. Many are scientists already in the advanced stage of their career fields. It is extremely difficult to convince these people to accept another's theory."
And then he said, "See, among the Falun Gong practitioners in our forced labor camp, there are PhD graduates, instructors at universities, doctors, engineers, statisticians, college students, and farmers. I hear there is a practitioner who used to be a policeman that is now detained in the Women's Ward. From the population structure, I see that practitioners have come from all walks of life. I have also observed that each of you is very kind. No one is picky when they are assigned labor work. No one is found to be lazy and none of you tries to seize a chance to work less."
I said, "Yes. Our teacher comes to teach the Fa. He asks for people to be kind and benevolent. Falun Gong practitioners are self-disciplined. We do not need to be watched over by others. If we do not do something well and do not act according to the requirements of the Fa, we will criticize ourselves."
He continued, "When I get out, I will definitely read the book [Zhuan Falun] to learn the content of your teacher's lectures. I want to see what kind of power that has convinced you so much."
I replied happily, "Yes, that's a good idea. If you have time to stop by my house, I will see to it that you can read our Master's precious book, Zhuan Falun."
At the end of our conversation, he said again, "Your teacher is so powerful. I admire him so much! Truly admirable!"
(Clearwisdom.net) I am 58 years old. I live in a remote and poor mountain area. Before I started to practice Falun Dafa, I suffered from many illnesses, including heart disease, hepatitis B, cerebral thrombosis, tracheitis and varicocoele. Since my family was poor, I had no money to treat my illnesses. My life was very miserable. However, I was so lucky that I obtained the Fa in my relatives' home in the middle of November 2000. I have experienced Dafa's miracles again and again.
After I had the book, Zhuan Falun, I continuously read it diligently. About a month later, I experienced Dafa's miracle for the first time. All of my illnesses disappeared. I really experienced freedom from pain. At the same time, I quickly got rid of my bad habits of drinking alcohol and smoking. I sincerely thank Teacher Li Hongzhi's grace. It was Teacher who gave me a second life, which makes me to be able to take on the heavy burdens as the head of a household.
In 2002, I had a contract to build ditches in the neighboring county. Around 2:00 p.m. on November 20, there was a fierce windstorm and it poured rain. I did not have any place to take cover. Suddenly, a big rock of about 40 cm thickness and two square meters in size, weighing about 2,000 kilograms, rolled down from a hill two meters in height. It hit me from behind. I was knocked unconscious by the blow. My face was covered with blood. All the people on the spot were shocked and thought I might die.
The people at the work site quickly lifted me onto a tractor and drove me directly to a hospital in town. It was very far from the work site to downtown It took four hours to drive to the hospital. After the tractor had driven for about three hours, I regained consciousness. I shouted immediately: "I am a practitioner. I want to go home. It would better if someone read Zhuan Falun to me." I recited in my heart: "Falun Dafa is good; Zhen-Shan-Ren is good." However my workmates did not agree with me. They still sent me to the hospital. The doctor sutured about 30 stitches on my forehead and cheeks. After that, the hospital gave me an X-ray examination. The result showed that three-fourths of the second vertebra from the bottom on my spine was smashed and the third and fourth vertebrae from the bottom were fractured; the nerve system of my abdomen was also injured. The doctor said I needed surgery right away, but the hospital required me to pay 20,000 yuan first. However, the owner of the construction project did not have money and only paid me 2,000 yuan. My family also could not afford the money for the surgery. So I did not have surgery. The doctor who examined me told my family that I would be in a vegetative state even if I survived. He said that I could not do any work and that the best that could be expected would be me being able to take care of myself.
I knew that I am a practitioner. If I stayed in the hospital, it would turn out as the doctor said, I would be completely incapacitated physically and mentally. The accident was arranged to take my life. I repaid a life again. I understood the principle that debts have to be settled. I also knew that I passed a big test under Teacher's protection. I was very happy in my heart and extremely grateful for Teacher's saving my life. I firmly asked my son to bring me home. I told him that I would die in the hospital if I did not go home. My son agreed with me and carried me home. I stayed in the hospital for 11 days. When I went home, the doctor only gave me anti-inflammatory medicine for three days. When I was hospitalized, I could not move and could not even stretch my legs. Since my abdomen was injured, I could not urinate or defecate for nine days. The pain in my abdomen really was hard to endure.
After I went home, the miracle appeared on the next day. I could sit up with the support of others. The people there saw that my chest and abdomen had turned black due to the injuries, but I could still sit up and my body functions returned to normal. They understood it was because of Teacher's benevolence and the mighty power of Dafa. They all smiled.
Since then, I diligently read Zhuan Falun every day. Through Teacher's grace, my body continuously healed. A week later, I could sit and practice meditation; half a month later, I could walk to the table in the kitchen with my family member's support and sit down for meals. Less than one month later, I could get up by myself and practice the exercises. And I also could do some things within my ability. About half a year later, I was fully recovered and able to do any farm work. I really experienced Falun Gong's miracle. I was fully recovered without taking medicine. I am deeply grateful for Teacher's benevolence and I also witnessed Dafa's mighty power. All of my family really thank Teacher for saving my life again.
Since then, my family members also obtained the Fa and started to practice Falun Dafa. Among my relatives and neighbors, six people obtained the Fa. Now about 20 relatives and friends resigned from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations. I will cherish the precious opportunity which comes once in tens of thousands of years. I will diligently study the Fa well and do the three things well.
(Clearwisdom.net) Tao Shu, also called Zilin, was from Anhua County in Hunan Province and lived in the time of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911 AD). His family was known for their pure and honest principles, and for carrying out good deeds.
Tao Shu's great-great-great grandfather, the revered Bohan, loved to do good deeds and accumulated much virtue. In those days, a convicted thief would be drowned in a river. One day when the revered Bohan passed by a river, a drowning burglar saw him and called for help, "Please help me! I swear that I will not steal any more." Bohan showed mercy for him and asked people to set him free. The revered Bohan worried that this man would go back to doing unrighteous deeds again, therefore he gave him a small boat and told him to row travelers over to the ferry and thereby earn a living. Similar to this story, the revered Bohan had given another seven boats to those kinds of men, and they all gave up evil deeds and returned to being good.
To avoid travelers being hurt by rocks or broken pieces of porcelain, whenever Bohan went out, he would take a basket with him and he carried all the rocks and debris home. Before he passed away, the rocks and debris had filled an empty room in his home up to the ceiling.
Tao Shu's great-great grandfather, the revered Wenheng was extraordinarily merciful. One day, when great flakes of snow were falling at night, Mr. Wenheng's rice bin was burglarized. He followed the tracks of the burglar in the snow and noticed that the burglar was one of his acquaintances. Wenheng didn't make it public; instead he went back home quietly and never touched upon this topic again. It was not until thirty years later, that by chance Wenheng's wife mentioned this story to their offspring. Then everybody knew about this fact, but still nobody knew the burglar's real name. This event gives an idea of Wenheng's clemency.
In September of the 47th year of Emperor Kanghsi's reign (1708 AD), Wenheng's neighbor's house caught fire and everything was destroyed. But Wenheng's household, which abutted this neighbor's house, was safe and sound. Even more incredible was the fact that Wenheng's barn, which just abutted the neighbor's, was also kept intact. According to statements of those who came to help extinguish the fire, they saw a person in a red gown with long sleeves standing at the wall, with a fan in his hand. This person fanned toward the intense fire and the fire miraculously stopped before the wall of Wenheng's house. Everybody said that it happened because Tao's family had done good deeds and accumulated virtue, so the divine beings blessed and protected them. His neighbor's house was burnt to the ground and nothing was left. Therefore Wenheng's wife gave all the grain they had in their barn to this neighbor.
Tao Shu's grandfather Yinliang was born good natured and he did not seek fame and wealth; therefore his family was not rich at all. One day when the revered Yinliang found some money on the bank of a river, he stood there waiting for the owner of the money to return. It was not until the end of the day that he noticed a pale-looking person coming toward him in a flurry. This person started searching in the rubble. Mr. Yinliang asked him what he was looking for, and the man answered, "I have been working away from my hometown for years and I haven't been home since that time. I have an aged mother at home and today I was finally able to take all the money I had saved all those years and go back home to support my old mother. But unfortunately I have lost all my savings on my way." Mr. Yinliang asked him how much money he had lost, and the person's answer matched the amount he had found. So Mr. Yinliang returned all the money to the owner. The man was so thankful that he wanted to give half of his money to Yinliang, but Yinliang said with a smile, "If I had the desire to keep your money, I would not have waited here for you." With these words, Yinliang smiled and urged the man to hurry home. The man kowtowed and expressed his heartfelt thanks and then left.
There are also many stories which talk about Tao Shu's father, Xiangxian and his generosity in aiding needy people.
It is nature's principle that good is rewarded with good. Tao Shu's family regarded virtue as very important and they were very generous for generations. Why should they worry about family property and not being prosperous or their descendants not being rich and honorable? Not until the generation of Tao Shu did the family become prosperous. Born into a poor family, Tao Shu became both illustrious and influential. He passed the imperial exam at the provincial level (obtaining Juren) held in the fall of the fifth year of Emperor Jia Qing's reign. Two years later, he became a Jinshi (a successful candidate) in the highest imperial examination, and was selected Shujishi (fellow in the Imperial Academy) in the Hanlin Academy (the Imperial Academy). Later, he was a high ranking Liangjiang Governor-General, and was honored as a grand tutor to the crowned prince.
Throughout his entire life, Tao Shu was a clear-headed and upright official, because he had inherited his family principles of being willing to do good and be generous. When he was at his post, he distributed his salary to help the people who suffered from natural disasters. On hearing of his stories, Emperor Dao Guang was moved and commented, "If every official could be as clear and upright as Tao Shu, I would not have to worry that all is not at peace!" And then the emperor awarded Tao Shu three-thousand Liang of silver (unit of currency at that time). But Tao Shu still led a simple life and did not use a single penny, instead he distributed it again to the poor and set up 48 non-profit schools altogether.
Why do people nurtured by the richness of traditional Chinese culture highly praise doing good and accumulating virtue? Because the willingness to do good and to give to those in need is a kind of virtue, which conforms to the principles of the universe -- Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance, and the people who carry out good deeds will be blessed and protected by Heaven. If people do things righteously, they will accumulate virtue. People's fortune, good pay and long life are all evolved from virtue; therefore one should not refuse to do good deeds.
