On June 26, the largest Turkish newspaper, Hurriyet, carried a half-page article about the protest. The article said: "Falun Gong practitioners from many cities gathered outside the Chinese Embassy to protest. They are labeled as a 'political enemy' by the communist regime." [Editor's note: Falun Gong is a non-political practice and has no political aspirations.]

The practitioners displayed banners and posters which carried messages condemning the persecution. The protest was peaceful. Turkish Falun Dafa Association president Cansin told the reporter that the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist regime is very brutal, and countless practitioners have been "unlawfully arrested", detained and tortured. In addition, he said that many of these practitioners died after their organs were removed for profit.

The article explained that Falun Dafa is a practice of mind and body. Practicing Falun Dafa, which is based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance, can not only improve one's health but also uplift one's morality and mind nature. Currently, there are more than 100 million practitioners around the world.

On June 27, the second largest Turkish newspaper, Sabh, reported the protest. The article also reviewed the history of Falun Dafa and the persecution.

The article reported that Falun Dafa was introduced to the public in 1992 by Mr. Li Hongzhi. In just a few years, more than 100 million Chinese people were practicing Falun Dafa in China. Currently, Falun Dafa is practiced by more than 100 million people from nearly 80 countries. In 1999, viewing Falun Dafa as a threat to its power, the Chinese government banned the practice and started to persecute practitioners using all kinds of torture methods. Falun Dafa practitioners have been subjected to abduction, unlawful detention and inhumane treatments. Tens of thousands practitioners have been cremated after their organs were removed. Their organs were sold to foreigners for high prices.

At the end of the article, the reporter wrote: "With peaceful and elegant music playing, participants of the protest concluded the protest with a demonstration of their slow and round exercises."

Haberler.com, Kanal Turk TV, Kanal A TV, and Fox TV also reported to the protest. Among them, the report by Kanal Turk TV was 20 minutes long, giving a detailed introduction of Falun Dafa, the persecution and the organ harvesting atrocities.
