July 28, 2007 |   By a Falun Gong practitioner in Hualien, Taiwan

(Clearwisdom.net) On the evening of July 21, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners in Hualien, Taiwan held a rally at the Chi-An Township Culture Square. The theme of the rally was "Calling for an end to the CCP's atrocities--Put an end to the CCP's eight years of persecution of Falun Gong." The activity featured a Falun Gong exercise demonstration, truth-clarifying films and a candlelight vigil. The practitioners sincerely called on people from all walks of life to condemn and stop the CCP's atrocities and to thoroughly put an end to the CCP's brutal persecution.

During the activity, truth-clarification films reflecting the wide spread of Falun Dafa around the world and the persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP were shown. The practitioners condemned the CCP's brutal atrocity of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and exposed that the CCP and Zeng Qinghong's gang manipulated Hong Kong authorities prior to July 1 to violently deport Taiwanese Falun Gong practitioners. The practitioners also held a candlelight vigil to commemorate the fellow practitioners who have died as a result of the persecution in China.

Head of Chi-An Township of Hualien County Tian Chixuan, Chairman of Chi-An Township Representative Council Cheng Qianlung, Hualien County Council member Liu Hsiaomei spoke at the rally and expressed their support. Hualien County's Hui-Chian Cable TV sent a reporter.

Falun Gong practitioners who were violently deported come to the rally to recount their experience

Practitioner Ms. Li said that on June 30, when she was at the Hong Kong Immigration Department, she saw police stand side by side, hand in hand to form a human wall, denying Falun Gong practitioners entry. Some practitioners were rudely wrapped with an anti-riot blanket by the Hong Kong police, and then thrown onto a platform vehicle, tied up with straps and forcibly deported to Taiwan. On the morning of July 1, she and several dozen practitioners practiced the exercises in front of the Immigration Department, and suddenly over a hundred armed police officers surrounded them and violently carried them back into the room, "illegally detaining" them and deporting them back to Taiwan.

Righteous support from all circles

Chi-An Township head Tian Chixian first expressed his respect for Falun Gong practitioners. He said that everyone has the freedom of belief. In face of the CCP's persecution, and such an unjust and unrighteous and inhumane regime, the practitioners have been working hard, and unremittingly exposing the CCP's evil nature. They have exposed the CCP's harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners so that people around the world can clearly see the CCP's evil nature.

Chi-An Township Representative Council chairman Cheng Qianlung said that the CCP has persecuted Falun Gong for eight years. He believed that the world's people have understood the persecution to varying degrees. He was honored to be together with everyone at the rally. The Representative Council will definitely support Falun Gong activities in Chi-An Township, and call for an end to the CCP's persecution.

Hualien County Council member Liu Hsiaomei, who is also one of the members of the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong, is very concerned about Falun Gong's situation. She said that after Hong Kong's violent deportation of Falun Gong practitioners in 2003, with this July 1 deportation incident, Falun Gong practitioners were once again subjected to such a plight and painful experience. This shows that Hong Kong's "one country, two systems" is not true. Although Hong Kong claims to be democratic, it is actually under the control of the CCP. It is unable to achieve judicial independence. Many people and groups have believed that the CCP is unqualified to host the 2008 Olympics, because the CCP does not value life and human rights. A Canadian independent investigation report has concluded that the CCP harvested organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for profit. Everyone should work together to condemn and stop the CCP's atrocities.

Candlelight vigil calls for an end to the CCP's atrocities

Since 1999, it is verified that more than 3,000 Falun Gong practitioners have died as a result of the CCP's persecution. Due to the information blockade, the actual number may be much higher. The CCP has applied genocidal policies to eliminate Falun Gong practitioners.

Falun Gong practitioners in Hualien said that the CCP not only persecutes Falun Gong practitioners in China, but it has also extended the persecution into Hualien. Taiwan Falun Gong practitioners holding valid visas were illegally deported by the Hong Kong government at the behest of the CCP--who will be next? The persecution should not continue. Practitioners sincerely call on kind-hearted people to stand up together with Falun Gong practitioners to condemn and stop the CCP's atrocities and thoroughly put an end to the CCP's eight-year-long persecution of Falun Gong.
