Belated News: Ms. Li Jiawei Died Due to Mistreatment in Sichuan Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Jiawei, born in 1953, lived in Xuyong County in Luzhou City, Sichuan Province. She is retired from the Xuyong County Ceramic Company and started practicing Falun Dafa in 1997. She used to suffer from many illnesses, but she became very healthy both mentally and physically after practicing Falun Dafa.

The Chinese Communist Party began to cruelly persecute Falun Dafa practitioners on July 20, 1999. In order to speak out for justice for Falun Dafa, Ms. Li Jiawei went to Beijing to appeal for an end to the persecution, but she was stopped halfway by the Xuyong County Police and her former employer. She was detained for 30 days and the police extorted 500 yuan from her. Later, because Ms. Li was clarifying the truth to people, she was illegally arrested and detained seven more times by State Security agents. She was forcibly taken to the Nanmusi Women's Labor Camp once, but was rejected due to her physical condition.

In 2005, Ms. Li Jiawei was again detained for clarifying the truth, and at a hospital, she was forcibly injected with an unknown substance, causing her feet to become necrotic. She died due to a severe infection in her feet in November 2005.
