When Clarifying the Truth We Must Separate the Person from the Specter of the Party

"The wicked Party is attaching itself to the ideological system of the Chinese nation, to human bodies, and to Chinese culture. At the same time, it is undermining Chinese culture and persecuting the Chinese people." ("Teaching the Fa in San Francisco, 2005")

After studying this paragraph of the Fa, I realized that when clarifying the truth, we must separate people from the evil specter of communism.

When we clarify the truth to expose the evil nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), some people ask many questions. They may want to know about certain CCP historical figures or about the heads of the CCP. If we cannot answer their questions adequately, we may prevent these people from being saved. Our explanations must seek to separate the people from the evil specter of communism.

There are two situations that contribute to people's misunderstandings. One is that the CCP has deceived the Chinese people with fabricated lies and stories of high moral standards in an attempt to embellish itself. The other is that the CCP has performed some minor good deeds. Here I would like to discuss how we can do a good job in clarifying the truth in regard to this second situation.

People have both Buddha-nature and demon-nature. The Party heads (excluding Jiang Zemin and other ruthless persecutors of Falun Gong) are also human beings. Therefore, they too have shan, or compassion, and that means their true nature of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance" has not yet been totally lost. Sometimes they actually demonstrate "minor compassionate acts." This is the reflection of their human nature, not the nature of the evil spectre of communism. The CCP is one hundred percent evil because it is against "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance" and violates human nature. The manifestation of the CCP in other dimensions is a red dragon, while in this human world it manifests in the form of an organization or an ideology. The core of the Party specter is "falsehood, evilness and violence."

Commentary 2 of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party analyzed the nine inherited traits of the CCP. Deceit is one of them. The CCP has been using human nature to destroy human nature. Normally, it does not do bad things openly. Instead, it presents a kind appearance. However, like a swindler who uses bait to deceive you, the CCP does the same to achieve its goal of doing something very bad to you. For example, the CCP will pretend to promote the ideals of helping those in need such as the elderly, children, or the poor. This gives people a false impression that the CCP is good and so they follow the CCP. However, movements staged by the CCP have resulted in the murder of 80 million people in China, including more than 3,000 Falun Gong practitioners, who have died as a result of the persecution. In other words, the CCP continues to achieve its real purpose of doing something very bad. This is how the CCP has been fooling the Chinese people. When people are helping the CCP to do bad things, they are not even aware of it. They are led to believe that they are doing a good thing.

As for those historical figures and Party heads, when they promote the CCP's theories, they are doing very bad things and are responsible for poisoning the minds of several generations of Chinese. However, they themselves are also victims of the CCP. By following the CCP closely, their true human nature gradually becomes lost and drifts further away from the universal principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance." People are living in a society that is lost in a maze. If the Nine Commentaries had not exposed the true nature of the CCP, then it would be very difficult for people to see through it.

When communism was first introduced into China, it could be said that its purpose might not have been all bad. Some people did intend to do some good things for the people and save the nation. When the nation was in chaos, the disappointment of these people turned into total desperation. They behaved like a very sick patient seeking medical advice in an irrational and desperate manner. They even turned to other countries in search of a cure-all. When the English model failed to work for them, they adopted the French one, and when the French one did not work, they tried the Russian one. They spared no effort in seeking something powerful to rejuvenate China. What they did not know was that what "they had introduced from the Soviet Union was in reality an evil specter, and the remedy they sought for strengthening the nation was actually a deadly poison." (Please see Commentary 2 of the Nine Commentaries.)

Therefore, in clarifying the truth we must separate the person from the evil specter of communism. In other words, doing good deeds is the result of human nature while doing bad deeds is the result of people being controlled by the evil specter. We should normally not refer to those Party heads as "demons" because they are different from the "Head Demon Jiang" and they still have some human nature remaining. If we call them "demons," we might create obstacles for those people who have been seriously poisoned by the CCP. They still have not learned about the persecution of Falun Gong and the truth that can save them. This would be a big loss. These lives are also the sentient beings of the universe and are in the process of positioning themselves. How they position themselves is their own business, but we can not deprive them of their opportunities.

I wrote these personal understandings as a reference for my fellow practitioners.
