(Clearwisdom.net) The Divine Performing Arts Company successfully held two Holiday Wonders shows in St. Petersburg, Florida, both warmly welcomed by the audiences. Mr. Tom Barnhorn, the vice mayor of Seminole, stated that he would recommend the show to everybody.

The Vice Mayor of Seminole: an excellent chance to learn about Chinese culture

Mr. Tom Barnhorn, the vice mayor of Seminole, watched the show and stated that every dance was so perfect that he could not tell which one was the best. He said the show was an eye-opener for Chinese culture and history. To Mr. Barnhorn, the show was "a wonderful experience." "I am finding it fascinating and I am truly enjoying it," he said. "The vast beauty is overwhelming. They showed the Communist Party coming in and not allowing freedom of speech. ... To me, being here in the United States, I can't imagine that taking place."

"I definitely would recommend it to everybody--for all ages. I would encourage everyone in the city of Seminole to see it," he said.

Ms. Rayma Barnhorn, Mr. Barnhorn's wife, said the show shared a different culture with the audience, which was amazing. She would like to recommend it to her friends. She said, although she doesn't understand the Chinese language, she could sense the enthusiasm in the songs. "Everything is wonderful, so beautiful. It's just absolutely amazing," she said.

Lawyer: This show brings compassion, encouragement, purity and happiness

Maye Albright is a retired lawyer. She drove two hours to the show with her husband. She learned about it from an advertisement in a local newspaper.

She highly praised the show--"incredibly beautiful and very sublime." She liked every performance, especially the "Mongolian Bowl Dance."

Ms. Albright said the show brings people compassion, encouragement, purity and happiness. According to her, the show was "magnificent." She hoped that the art company will hold shows like this in more American cities.

Ms. Albright and her husband both said that the persecution of Falun Gong should be stopped.

Ms. Albright wished she could speak Chinese so that she could understand the songs better. She said she would invite her friends to the show next year.

Jazz musician: I am in awe of this show

Rick Gee, a Jazz musician, plays Jazz at a theatre every month. He said that the music in the show is like dreaming and the melodies were heavenly. According to Rick, the music was very pleasant to the ears. Rick said: "I am in awe of this show." He didn't expect to see such a good show.

Chinese immigrant: Chinese people are proud of the show

Laura Liu, a Chinese immigrant, and her husband Mike came to the show. Laura used to work at a culture department in China. She said: "During holidays, Westerners go to church. Now, the overseas Chinese will have our own way to celebrate the holidays. I really appreciated the show."

Ms. Liu said: "This show is very different from the ones in China. It doesn't have any party culture. It is pure art. The whole show is full of love. I can sense the compassion in the songs."

Ms. Liu said: "I was very proud to see the Chinese culture being demonstrated on the stage. It is very rare to see such a high level show about Chinese culture and history in America. I am very proud of it. Every Chinese should be proud of it."

Ms. Liu liked every song and dance in the show. Her sister-in-law, Marie expressed that she had never seen such a good show, and she would recommend it to her friends.

Marie said that Falun Gong practitioners are being persecuted in China, but they have freedom to express themselves in America. She said it is a very good way to express their belief through art.
