Margaret is a company manager. She learned about the show from the newspaper and decided to see it with her whole family. Margaret thought that Chinese New Year Spectacular was more worthwhile than other Asian cultural activities. She gave the show a "perfect score."

In a corner in the front hall of the theater, four Indian youths talked about the show excitedly during the intermission. They were computer engineers Sarath, Priya, Nena, and Deepa, who were dispatched to the US for a short term contract. Priya saw the news of the show online and convinced all the others to attend the show with her. Everyone thought the show was very rewarding. They liked the colorful costumes, beautiful dancing, and melodious music. Sarath stressed that his favorite was the drummers.

Tum's family had a happy evening

Mary Tum and her new husband from Cambodia, Teuy Tum, brought 12 children with them to see the show. They said they liked the performances about Chinese martial arts and Mongolian dancing. They proudly introduced Mary's father, Dr. Gary Miller, one of the sponsors of the show. Teuy told the reporter that he and his family enjoyed the show and were very happy to see such a great show during the Chinese New Year, because other Asian countries celebrate the New Year at the same time, too.

The Hendersons brought their daughters, who were adopted from China, so that they could experience Chinese culture

Six-year-old Isabella is from Guangdong, China, and four-year-old Lila is from Jiangxi. Their adopted parents Mr. and Mrs. Henderson brought them to the show so they could experience genuine Chinese culture. They love Chinese culture and thought that the show was wonderful and interesting. The Hendersons said that they would love for their girls to learn Chinese dancing if at all possible.
