(Clearwisdom.net) The Falun Gong Club of National Chengchi University in Taiwan held a Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance International Art Exhibition at the university library from December 17 to 21, 2007. The club hoped to demonstrate the beauty of Falun Dafa to teachers and students in the university and residents in the Wenshan and Xindian Districts in Taipei and help more people to obtain the Fa.

Ms. Bai, Chief Secretary of the Wenshan District, spoke at the exhibition.

At noon on January 17, 2007, Ms. Bai, Chief Secretary of the Wenshan District, spoke at the opening ceremony. Ms. Bai stated that the exhibition demonstrated Falun Gong practitioners' peaceful spirits through the beautiful paintings. She hoped that people who came to see the paintings would also pay attention to the practitioners being persecuted in China. Ms. Chienhui, a teacher from the extra curricular group, praised the students of the Falun Gong Club for holding so many large scale activities with limited manpower. The ceremony ended with practitioners singing.

During the five days of the exhibition, many teachers and students came to the library to see the paintings in the lobby. Community residents came with their families. Many people gained a deeper understanding of Falun Gong and the truth of the persecution in China, and some wanted to practice Falun Gong.

A teacher from Brazil expressed a desire to read Zhuan Falun after seeing the paintings. A doctoral candidate, after carefully examining all the paintings, talked to practitioners for two hours and learned all five exercises. He said he would definitely go to the group practice site to continue the practice. The librarians asked practitioners to provide a short video so they could play it within the university to let more people learn about the exhibition.

Many people had great sympathy for the practitioners tortured in China. A student said he is a Christian and had been to China. He understood how beliefs are suppressed in China and could understand what kind of persecution the practitioners were suffering. Many people were willing to sign the postcards that supported rescuing practitioners' orphans and showed their support for human rights.

The last day, a group of high school students came to tour the university. They carefully looked at all the paintings and asked questions. After learning about the persecution, their faces looked serious and they all added their signatures to stop the persecution. Before they left, they took pictures at the exhibition with lotus flower talismans(1) made by the practitioners.

The Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance International Art Exhibition has toured more than 40 countries in Europe, Asia, Australia, and North America. More than a hundred exhibitions have been held. The paintings are all done by practitioners of different backgrounds who are outstanding artists. Through their painting they shared their experience of practicing "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance" and their understanding of life through practicing Falun Gong.

Note:
(1) Talismans -- Practitioners sometimes clarify the truth by giving people something small to wear or cherish, bearing a few words reminding them of the goodness of Dafa.
