(Clearwisdom.net) The NTDTV Chinese New Year Spectacular, performed by Divine Performing Arts, will be staged at the Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie, Texas, on January 7-9, 2008. Texas House of Representatives Issued a resolution to Commemorate NTDTV's Chinese New Year Spectacular and extend sincere best wishes to all those involved in its production.

Whereas, New Tang Dynasty Television is hosting the 2008 Chinese New Year Spectacular on January 7 through 9, 2008, at the Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie; and

Whereas, New Tang Dynasty Television, an independent Chinese-language media company, seeks to highlight traditional Chinese culture and bridge eastern and western cultures, and its annual Spectacular event plays an important role in furthering these goals; first produced in 2004, with shows held in five cities around the world for some 10,000 audience members, the event has since grown in size and scope each year; the 2008 tour is expected to reach 500,000 people in 50 major cities; and

Whereas, Considered the most important Chinese holiday, the Chinese New Year recognizes the renewal of the earth for plowing and sowing and is also a time for celebration and reflection with friends and family; the Spectacular showcases this notable event and heightens an awareness and appreciation of Chinese artistry through lively performances of dance and music; and

Whereas, Since its inception, the NTDTV Chinese New Year Spectacular has garnered well-deserved praise for presenting fables of Chinese mythology in a way that is universal and relevant to today's society; its performances also serve to strengthen and enhance the bonds of the global community as audiences from diverse backgrounds benefit from the meaningful display of ideas, culture, and tradition; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, That the New Tang Dynasty Television Chinese New Year Spectacular be commemorated and that all those involved in its production be extended sincere best wishes for continued success.
