Seizing a Rare Opportunity to See the Show Twice a Year

Ms. Zhang, who lives in Flushing, New York, goes to the show twice each year. She used to be a teacher and is interested in dance. "It's rare to see Chinese dance on such a large scale, so I seize the opportunity to go to the Divine Performing Arts shows once during Christmas and once during the Chinese New Year."

Mr. Lu came from Guangzhou, China. He's been in NY for several years and learned about the show from a newspaper. This is his first time at Radio City Music Hall. He said, "The show is great--very professional. The singing and dancing are very good. I like "The Loyalty of Yue Fei," because every Chinese should have a heart of loyalty and be obedient to his or her parents."

An older Chinese gentleman, who came to the US from Xiamen City, Fujian Province, 20 years ago said he thought the show was very worthwhile, "It's a rare opportunity to see such a good show. The set up is very interesting. The performance is magnificent."

Ms. Yu invited her parents and two sons to the show. Her mother said the artists did an excellent job and the programs were great. Her teenage boy said he would recommend the show to others because he thought the show was terrific.

Ms. Rong, who lives in the Bronx, came because of her son's recommendation. She was very impressed. "The scale is grand and magnificent. It's rare to have a large scale Chinese performance in NYC with such good quality! Job well done!"

Ms. Tang owns two design companies in NY. She invited her mother and family to the show. "The performance is perfect," said Ms. Tang. "My favorite was the erhu musical instrument. The sound is absolutely beautiful."

It Was Like Heaven

Victor Bobodida came from New Jersey with his wife because their daughter bought them the tickets. Victor said cheerfully, "I am glad I came. We really liked the show. My favorite was the drums and seeing people helping the mother and daughter who were persecuted - that was a touching dance performance."

June Ecchiurro and her husband loved the show, "The performance is magnificent and beautiful. The dancing was so graceful and the information the show tried to pass on to the audience is benevolent. It was like heaven."

Wendell Yee and his family came to the show. Wendell said he learned a lot from this beautiful show, especially knowing that we are guests from heaven. He said that the sound of the drums was inspiring and the dance about the water was very pretty.

Joel Frank, a consultant, and his girlfriend attended the show. Joel said the show was perfect. "The costumes are beautiful and the message it tries to pass on is wonderful. Besides the costumes and music, the words "Truth, Compassion, Tolerance" shown on the curtain are very, very special."

There was a group of teachers and students who came from Minisink Valley. They greatly enjoyed the performance. A student said she liked the "Water Sleeves" and the "Nymphs of the Sea."

Lynn came to the show with her daughter-in-law, Cathy. Lynn said, "The programs are terrific. I have never seen such a good show. The vocal solos, music, stage design, costumes, I liked all of it. Some musical instruments really stand out in the show." Cathy said she's never seen such a unique show.
