(Clearwisdom.net) On April 8, 2008, the final show of Divine Performing Arts in Brisbane won acclaim from the audience. Many audience members were touched by the performance, which contained rich cultural connotations.

Chinese People Outside of China: Divine Performing Arts Successfully Promotes Chinese Culture

Divine Performing Arts presents traditional Chinese stories via dance performance, and many Chinese people have expressed their pride in these pieces. Mr. Liu from China said, "The show successfully introduces Australian people to Chinese culture. All the performances are very good. The legends, such as "Lady of the Moon" and "The Loyalty of Yue Fei," promote patriotic spirit."

Mr. Liu said he embraces China and Chinese culture, but not the Chinese Communist Party, "Before this show, I saw an advertisement for the Chinese New Year Splendor in New York. The introduction seemed similar. I embrace China and Chinese culture, but not the Chinese Communist Party. This performance promotes Chinese traditional culture and history. It is our common view."

Mr. Liu believes that the Communist Party cannot represent China and the long Chinese history.

Mr. Li, his wife and daughter praise the performance during intermission

Another Chinese, Mr. Li, brought his wife and daughter to see the show. During the intermission, they praised the splendid performance.

Ms. Li said happily, "It is very good. I liked the dancing and the singing by the lady. I also liked the drumming piece and the backdrop scenery. As I looked at the backdrop scenery, it seemed very real, very beautiful."

Mr. Li said, "The dancing was good and all the pieces are fantastic. I saw the show once before and felt it was great. For those young Chinese audience members who were born and grew up here, if they didn't understand the pieces such as 'The Loyalty of Yue Fei' and 'Lady of the Moon,' they should ask their mothers about these classic stories."
