Shijiazhuang City Court Plans Second Trial for Liu Lina; Her Whole Family Has Been Persecuted

(Clearwisdom.net) Shijiazhuang City Court officials in Hebei Province plan to hold another trial for Ms. Liu Lina next week. The exact date is unknown.

Liu Lina is a new Falun Gong practitioner who lives in the Sishui Plant neighborhood in Shijiazhuang City. On February 15, 610 Office agents arrested her at home, aided by personnel from the local Qiaodong Police Station and from the Beijie Police Station. They also arrested her husband and her brother and took away her computer and printer.

The policemen fabricated evidence and a confession and forced her family members to sign the documents before releasing them. Twelve days later, using the falsified confession as proof, they officially arrested Ms. Liu. Currently, she is detained at the Shijiazhuang City No.1 Detention Center.

Ms. Liu's mother, Liu Xing, is retired from the No. 4 State Textile Factory in Shijiazhuang. She used to have health problems including cirrhosis of the liver and ascites but was cured after she began practicing Falun Gong. In 1999, Ms. Liu Xing was detained and tortured twice for appealing and telling people that Falun Gong was blameless. In October 2000, Ms. Liu Xing was sentenced to three years of forced labor and was brainwashed at the labor camp. The cirrhosis and ascites recurred and her condition deteriorated. Labor camp officials ordered her family to bail her out. Shijiazhuang City 610 Office agents persecuted her whole family financially by ordering her family members' employers not to pay their salaries. Her family did not have money to pay her medical expenses. In addition, Liu Xing was prohibited from practicing the Falun Gong exercises. She passed away on January 26, 2004.

Ms. Liu's father, Liu Yueyun, was retired from the Shijiazhuang City Water Pump factory. In October 1999 Mr. Liu went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong but was escorted home by officers from the Shenglibeijie Police Station, where he was handcuffed for three days and detained for 30 days. In February 2000 Mr. Liu was sentenced to four years in prison for doing the Falun Gong exercises at Hebei Theater. He was imprisoned in the Baoding No.1 Prison and was released in early 2004. He grieved terribly over the loss of his wife, barely recovering from the misery. He was a killed in a car accident.

Seeing that her parents' illnesses were cured and how they had benefited spiritually from Falun Gong, Ms. Liu understood completely that the Chinese Communist Party had distorted the facts to persecute Falun Gong. She also realized the beauty of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and began to practice Falun Gong herself. Even after losing both parents, she has remained firm in her belief in the truth.

The policemen used fabricated evidence to accuse Ms. Liu. Her elementary school-aged daughter is at home with no one to take care of her. Her elderly mother-in-law's health has gone from bad to worse. Please, pay attention to what Ms. Liu's family is unjustly having to endure.
