The Divine Land Marching Band Takes Part in the New York Korean Autumn Harvest Festival Parade (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On October 4, 2009, the Divine Land Marching Band, made up entirely of Falun Gong practitioners, was invited to the annual Korean Autumn Harvest Festival parade on Broadway Street in Manhattan. With their music and demeanor, the performers were able to convey the message that "Falun Dafa is good" to the spectators.

The New York Korean Autumn Harvest Festival occurs on the first Saturday of every October, at the same time as the Chinese Moon Festival. This is a day of reunion among Chinese people, and in the New York Chinese community, it is filled with large-scale cultural activities. However, it has lost its original meaning in recent decades because of the CCP's deceptiveness and brutality. Divine Land Marching Band trombonist Mr. Xu said, "This Korean people's event expresses their traditional culture."

As a practitioner for many years, Mr. Sahng, age 50, still retains the appearance of a man in his thirties.  "Attending this parade as a member of the Divine Land Marching Band, I hope to use this chance to tell everyone that Falun Dafa is good. The Korean people really love the marching band's uniforms and music."

Mr. Liang, the leader of the New York Divine Land Marching Band, said, "Because we are involved with the community as a band, and are able to bring the goodness of Falun Dafa to people, both Westerners and Asians have the chance to understand and recognize the wonderfulness of the practice. Also, directly and indirectly, we counteract the slanderous message the people receive from the CCP about Falun Gong."

According to Mr. Liang, the Divine Land Marching Band, with its large size, deep inner meaning to the music, and traditional, beautiful uniforms, makes a pure, wonderful, and deep impression on people. As a result, it is largely welcomed.  Through enjoying the Divine Land Marching Band's performances, people have a chance to understand the people who practice Falun Dafa and the truth about the CCP's persecution of the practice.

The Divine Land Marching Band has been invited to many Filipino, Indian, Korean and US Army Base cultural activities in the New York area.
