(Clearwisdom.net) Hebei Province Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Yaping is from Shanhaiguan of Qinghuangdao City. Her house was ransacked by officers from the Shanhaiguan Public Security Bureau and the Shanhaiguan West St. Police Station. She was arrested and abused so badly that she twice developed heart disease. Despite her condition she is now still being held at the Shanhaiguan Detention Center.

On September 28, Ms. Li's family members went to visit her, but were told that they couldn't see her. Again on October 1 they went to the detention center and weren't allowed to see her.

Ms. Li is a respected massage therapist who established her own Chinese medicine and massage clinic. She lives together with her elderly mother, who is in her eighties, and her daughter who attends high school. She practices Falun Gong, and for this reason she was persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party.

The Qinghuangdao City Shanhaiguan Public Security Bureau and West St. Police Station sent more than ten personnel to her house at around 4:00 p.m. on September 18. Under the pretext of preserving stability around the upcoming National Day celebrations, they broke into her house without showing any identification or search warrants. They ransacked her house and confiscated her computer, more than 300 DVDs of the NTDTV Chinese Spectacular, Falun Gong books, three MP3 players, two MP4 players and other personal items. The family is also unable to find the 1000 yuan that was kept in the house. The police recorded video footage as they searched the house, but provided no receipt to the family listing the items taken.

After taking Ms. Li to West St. Police Station, the police locked her up in Shanhaiguan Detention Center without any legal process. Ms. Li's mother lives at her fourth brother's house, and the police went there and harassed her relatives.

Ms. Li's family heard the news that she had twice developed heart disease while in detention and was given emergency treatment. In order to shift responsibility, Shanhaiguan Detention Center wanted to transfer Ms. Li to the Qinghuangdao Detention Center. Her family tried many ways to help her, but she is now still being held at Shanhaiguan Detention Center.
