(Clearwisdom.net) (Correspondent from Anhui Province) Ms. Li Mei is a judge with the Hefei Middle Court in Anhui Province and a Falun Dafa practitioner. She was illegally arrestedon June 12, 2008, and taken to the provincial Nanhu Forced Labor Camp. She was sentenced to one year at the camp, although no legal procedures were followed and she was falsely charged. By the end of her term, she still had not renounced her belief in Truth-Compassion-Forbearance, so she was taken to the Hefei City Feicui Hotel Brainwashing Center. Then the police transferred her to the Qingfengyuan Brainwashing Center. Following that, she was transferred to the Number 2 Detention Center in Hefei City.

According to inside information, provincial, municipal, and district Political and Judiciary Committee members, as well as staff from the 610 Office, told Ms. Li that as long as she stated her intention to denounce the practice, she would be released immediately and her job reinstated. Otherwise, she would be persecuted, dismissed from her job, arrested, and be given a heavy sentence.

Ms. Li responded, "I want my family, I want my job, and I love life. It is only that I maintain my belief in a practice that espouses Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. What wrong have I done?"

Now the Hefei City Police Bureau has signed an arrest warrant, which says that Ms. Li will receive a heavy sentence. If she wishes to hire a lawyer, it will need approval by the Law Enforcement Bureau and be signed by the head of the bureau.

The police are spreading a rumor that Ms. Li Mei has been released and that she has quit her job.
