(Clearwisdom.net) (Correspondent from Jiangsu Province) At 7:00 p.m. on September 19, seven people from the Nantong City Police Department broke into a store in Rugao County owned by Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Chunyan. They arrested Ms. Liu, her husband Cai Xunming, and their son Cai Qiang. The family was detained at the Rugao Police Department. While the family was being held, over eighty policemen from Nantong Police Department and Rugao Police Department ransacked their home and confiscated Ms. Liu's computer, Dafa books, good-luck charms, and two personal letters.
Mr. Cai Xunming was held for four days and his son Cai Qiang for one day; the police confiscated their cell phones. When they returned home, they found that the police had put monitoring devices in their home. According to an insider, their home phone was also monitored. Ms. Liu is still in custody at the Rugao County Police Station.
As a result of the harassment, Ms. Liu Chunyan and her family have all lost their jobs and are having a hard time making ends meet. Her husband finally opened a shop selling machines for oil and grain refinery to support the family.
Before Ms. Liu started practicing Falun Gong, her kidneys were failing and she was in the early stages of uremia. X-rays showed severe deterioration in both of her kidneys. After she started to practice Falun Gong, a miracle occurred. Gradually she could get out of bed and walk. When X-rays were taken again, the images showed improvement in her kidneys.
Falun Gong saved her life. Witnessing the miracle of her improved health, more and more people started learning Falun Gong.
On July 20, 1999, the persecution of Falun Gong began. When officers from Anlu Police Station warned Ms. Liu not to practice Falun Gong, she took out the two X-rays and showed them to the police. Seeing the evidence of how beneficial the practice is, they left without saying anything more.
