(Clearwisdom.net) A moving scene unfolds in front of the renowned National Palace Museum in Taiwan--a young girl smiles as she runs toward her mother, holding in her hand a bookmark displaying the words, "Falun Dafa is good!" The mother nods and turns around to smile at a group of Falun Gong practitioners standing nearby. She says, "I truly admire you guys. Please keep up the good work."
An old man who left China after the civil war and has lived in Taiwan for more than four decades stopped in front of the practitioners and said, "I know the Chinese Communist Party all too well. It has committed so much evil, and there will come a day when it will be wiped out."
These practitioners come to the National Palace Museum daily and inform people about the wonders of Falun Dafa and the groundless persecution of the practice.

Practitioners hand flyers to tourists
The practitioners began talking to Chinese tourists about Falun Gong in front of the Museum in 2002.
Ms. Liu Meiyu said the early tourists were mostly academic exchange groups and official delegations. These visitors had no other channel to learn the truth in Mainland China. They were brainwashed with vicious lies "24/7," so they reacted strongly when they first heard the truth from the practitioners. Some visitors cursed, and some even threatened to beat the practitioners. But as time went on and the practitioners persevered, and as the visitors learned facts from practitioners inside China that Mainland Chinese tourists might encounter Falun Gong practitioners at nearly every tourist attraction in Taiwan, the visitors' attitudes have clearly changed. Some are eager to obtain a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, some have already learned the truth and quickly agreed to withdraw from the Party and its affiliated organizations, and some give the practitioners a thumbs-up gesture.
Once regular direct flights from Beijing to Taiwan were established for the first time in 2008, busloads of airline Mainland Chinese tourists arrived in Taiwan during the summer months. Many Chinese tourists secretly took pictures of Falun Gong practitioners doing the exercises next to the famous arch carrying Mr. Sun Yat-sen's words.

According to practitioner Liu Meiyu, one Chinese tourist accompanied by a friend skimmed over a banner reading "Falun Dafa Is Embraced by Many" and then he moved onto the exhibition boards with the themes "Live Organ Harvesting," "Tiananmen Self-immolation," and "Select Announcements for Quitting the CCP." He eventually stopped in front of the board reading "Candlelight vigil in Washington, D.C." After a long time he turned around and asked Liu Meiyu, "What is Falun Gong?" The perplexed look in his eyes was an indication that what he had just seen was in stark contrast to what he had been told in Mainland China. Once she explained everything to him, he said he wanted to quit the Party.

Practitioner Ms. Li said Chinese tourists often quit the Party because they loathe it. Some of them include high-ranking officials as well as ordinary people. Ms. Li said, "Sometimes when I talked with them, they would point at a man and say, 'Go ask him to quit.' They wanted to be 'safe,' since they would no longer be afraid to quit if their official did it first. So we spoke with the leader who agreed to post his withdrawal. One person said to me, 'Do you know that he manages six million people?'"
Ms. Li said one Chinese tourist who knew about the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong wanted to quit the Party and commented, "Ma'am, actually, we all know the CCP is terrible. There is nothing wrong with Falun Gong; you are only trying to be healthy. We all hate the CCP, we are disgusted with it!"
Ms. Li mentioned a unique incident. One day a man in his 30s said to me, "I have a copy of the Nine Commentaries." I said, "Then you should quit the Party to be safe!" He immediately said, "Falun Dafa is good!" I said, "Sir, if you really mean it, then you will be blessed from this point forward." Three other people heard what I said. The four of them joined in and began walking as they repeated, "Falun Dafa is good!"--from the Sun Yat-Sen Arch until they arrived at the National Palace Museum. They kept it up until they got into a tourist trolley.
Longing to be Free
A busload of young people arrived at the museum around October 18, 2009. Liu Meiyu was the only practitioner there. She spoke with them about Falun Gong and the persecution and showed them announcements written by others who had already withdrawn from the Party. Learning how they had been deceived by the CCP, some of these young people immediately agreed to quit the Party.
One day two men in their 40s videotaped the practitioners and the exhibition boards. Liu Meiyu spoke to them at length. They expressed their desire to withdraw from the Party. One person holding the video camera said to Liu Meiyu, "I will say something now." He pointed the video camera at himself and shouted, "Falun Dafa is good! Down with the CCP!"
Liu Meiyu, "Many people refused to quit on the spot because their leader was watching the whole group. They were afraid of being persecuted after returning to China. However, about 70 percent of individual Chinese tourists agree to quit the Party." Liu Meiyu continued that she had helped more than 20 people quit the Party in one day. When there are lots of Chinese tourists, she has sometimes helped 50 to 60 people quit the Party within three to four hours.
Selecting announcements to withdraw from the CCP
Feng Ye and Piao Lin thanked Falun Gong practitioners for persistently telling people the facts in their announcements as they wrote, "My mother has a friend who practices Falun Gong. His integrity and kindness have always been a source of inspiration for me. When the CCP's lies enshrouded the earth and poisoned the minds of Chinese people, he kept telling me the facts. Although what he said made perfect sense, my sense of self-interest and my family took precedence, and I clung to my suspicions. I even thought that practitioners were manipulated by someone behind the scenes. I saw him many, many times over the past eight years, and every time he patiently explained things to me. I was moved time and time again. I wondered what could it be that empowered Falun Gong practitioners who are destitute and living away from home to have such amazing fortitude? These are people who insist on safeguarding Truth-Compassion-Forbearance when they face violence or even lose their lives. Was it possible that they were actually telling the truth? If goodness is rewarded and evildoing will reap its own peril, how could we possibly meet with a good end if we acted so indifferently toward people who pay with their own lives for our opportunity to learn the truth?"
"I eventually decided to withdraw from the Communist Youth League and Young Pioneers! I believe I have made the right choice. I have always resented this Party, but I was afraid and wanted to preserve my own self-interests. My friend constantly worried about me! Five years have elapsed since he first told me the truth. I want to thank him, and I also want to say to all Mainland Chinese who have not yet quit the Party: 'Please, think about it! Who is really trying to help us? What kind of future are we trying to choose?'"
Yu Hong and Wang An from Shandong Province wrote, "The demon Party is devouring people, yet as ignorant as I am, I sang praises for that Party every day. My indifference and the indifference of the world's people allowed the demon Party to unscrupulously devour the flesh and blood of our fellow men, and I foolishly turned the lifeboat away that was offered to me on multiple occasions. I have finally awakened. After so much suffering, I realized what I was rejecting was the renewal of my own life. The persecution of Falun Gong is severing hope for all mankind, and gods will absolutely eradicate the CCP. Words cannot describe how much I resent this Communist monster that harvests organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. I want to withdraw from this demonic organization and no longer allow it to manipulate me."
