1. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Xiaoyan and Her Husband Arrested

In the afternoon of September 14, 2009, Ms. Li Xiaoyan, an employee of the Chengdu City Computer Center, was arrested in a house in Xinhua Yuan in Wenjiang District by officers from the Chengdu City National Security Bureau and the Liucheng Police Station. She was held in the Wenjiang Detention Center where she was tortured. Several days later Ms. Li was transferred to the Pi County Detention Center. She was transferred again to an undisclosed location in late October 2009. The authorities refused to tell her family her whereabouts.

Ms. Li's husband, Mr. Wang, also an employee of the Computer Center, went to Xinhua Yuan to get some clothes around September 21, 2009. He was arrested by officers from the Tiaoshata Police Station. He is being held in the Pi County Detention Center where he is regularly tortured

2. [Chengdu City Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Zhengqiong Detained in Brainwashing Center

Ms. Zhang Zhengqiong went missing in September 2009. She is now home after being held in the Xinjin Brainwashing Center.

3. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhan Jiane Detained at Dianzi Brainwashing Center

In the morning of November 16, 2009, Ms. Zhan Jiane, along with her family and coworkers, went to the local 610 Office to demand the release of her husband, Mr. Yang Yujun, who was arrested on October 5, 2009. She was detained by the 610 Office, and her husband was released. Currently, Ms. Zhan is being held at the Dianzi Brainwashing Center.

4. [Puyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhang Guizhen Persecuted

On October 1, 2009, Ms. Zhang Guizhen, a resident of Chengguan Town, Qingfeng County, Puyang City, went to Poli Village, Datun Township, Qingfeng County to distribute truth-clarifying materials about Falun Gong. She was taken to the Qingfeng County Detention Center by Lu Dengkun, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) secretary of the Datun Township Police Station, and Shi Xianmin, director of the Datun Township Police Station. After being held for 15 days, Ms. Zhang was released on October 16, 2009 but was sentenced on the same day to one year of forced labor to be served outside the forced labor camp.

5. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Honglan Arrested

Ms. Sun Honglan from Wulian County, Rizhao City, was arrested on October 7, 2009 and is being held at the Wulian County Detention Center. The authorities are planning on sending her to a forced labor camp for two years.

6. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Li Mei Persecuted

The Hefei City Intermediate Court planned to try Ms. Li Mei on November 19, 2009. Since her arrest on June 12, 2008, her family has been trying to find attorneys for her but with no success. The attorneys told her family: "Her case is about politics. There is no legal base." The court delayed the trial because Ms. Li had requested to change her assigned legal counsel.

According to Ms. Li, the 610 Office has been trying to force her to give up her practice of Falun Gong since her arrest. The legal counsel assigned by the court did not conduct any investigation or collect any evidence. Ms. Li was not notified of the trial date until three days prior. The legal counsel never tried to communicate with Ms. Li but told her through a third party that if Ms. Li decided to change her mind concerning her practice of Falun Gong, all the legal processes would be stopped right away, and she could return to work.

Mr. Dai Guomin was arrested on August 21, 2009. He was recently sentenced to 18 months of forced labor and is being persecuted in the Hewan Forced Labor Camp.

10. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Li Arrested

Around November 14, 2009, police officers from the Yuanbaoshan District broke into Ms. Li's home and arrested her.

11. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Lei Sentenced to Two Years of Forced Labor

Ms. Liu Lei, 37, was taken to a brainwashing center during the Chinese New Year in 2002. In the afternoon on August 27, 2009, she was arrested. Ms. Liu is being held at Tuanhe Women's Forced Labor Camp.

12. [Xingning City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wen Chunru Arrested

At approximately 3:00 p.m. on November 1, 2009, three officers from the Xingning City 610 Office and the Wuhua County 610 Office went to Ms. Wen Chunru's home and arrested her, claiming that she was distributing materials about Falun Gong at night. They also confiscated her Falun Gong books and other Falun Gong related materials. She is being held either at the Xingning City Detention Center or the Wuhua County Detention Center.

13. [Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Liu Chunxun and Other Practitioners Persecuted

Mr. Liu Chunxun, in his seventies, is a resident of Dayangshu Town, Oroqin Autonomous Banner, Hulunbuir. Around November 16, 2009, the police went to his home and confiscated a lot of Falun Gong related materials. Mr. Liu was forced to leave home to avoid further persecution.

Mr. Liu's brother, Mr. Liu Jingxun (68) and his wife, Ms. Tan Zhengrong (62), live in Huzhong District of the Greater Khingan Range. On October 29, 2009, eleven officers from the Huzhong District Domestic Security Division arrested them and searched their home. They confiscated the couple's computer and Falun Gong related materials. The three are now being held at the Huzhong District Detention Center.

14. [Heishan County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jiang Hailan's Arrest Approved

It is confirmed that Ms. Jiang Hailan's arrest was approved, and files related to her arrest were sent to the Heishan County Procuratorate. Officers from the Procuratorate have arraigned Ms. Jiang in the Jinzhou City No. 1 Detention Center.

Ms. Jiang was secretly arrested the morning of September 15, 2009. On September 17, 2009 she was taken to the Jinzhou City No. 1 Detention Center and has been held there ever since. The officers also confiscated her computer, printer and other Falun Gong related materials.

Ms. Jiang had been arrested and detained three times prior to September 2009. After she was arrested for the third time on November 10, 2002, she was incapacitated as a result of torture by the Heishan County Public Security Department. Gao Hai, the then director of the Heishan County Public Security Department also threatened Ms. Jiang's husband, trying to force him to divorce her.

15. [Shanghai] Ms. Liu Shufang Arrested Again

Ms. Liu Shufang, a resident of 28/400 Hongzhengbei Street, Hongkou District, Shanghai, was scheduled to be released on November 15, 2009, after being imprisoned for three years. Her family has not seen her the entire time she has been detained. According to sources, as soon as Ms. Liu stepped out of the prison, she was taken by 4 or 5 people (2 were government officials from her district and the others were plainclothes officers) to a brainwashing center.

16. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Song Shuyan Persecuted Again

Ms. Song Shuyan, 53, suffered two periods of persecution during 1999 and 2001. On November 7, 2008, Domestic Security agents from the Xigang District Police Department arrested Ms. Song and took her from her home. They also confiscated her computer, Falun Gong books and materials, and other personal items. She was detained for several months in the Dalian City Detention Center, and was later sentenced to three years of forced labor without her family being notified. Her family found out later that she was sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp without any due legal process. They also learned that she has been tortured to the point of incontinence and has to be cared for around the clock by other prisoners.

17. [Huili County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Han Yinhui Persecuted

In July 1999, Tang Guangfeng, head of the Women's Association in Nange Township, Zhou Guolin, CCP secretary of Liangqiao Village, and Wang Liankang, secretary of Liangqiao Village, went to Ms. Han Yinhui's home for the purpose of harassing her.

Prior to the Beijing Olympics in 2008, Gu Youqun, CCP secretary of Nange Township, Shen Lianchun, head of Liangqiao Village, Ma Shijun, CCP secretary of Liangqiao Village and Bi, militia chief of Liangqiao Village, harassed many practitioners and confiscated their Falun Gong books, audiotapes, and other personal items. They threatened practitioners and told them not to leave home or visit relatives, and that they needed permission for everything they wanted to do. Ma Shijun also threatened: "There are more than 20 officers with machine guns at the toll gate on the highway. If you leave without telling us, we'll arrest you." Ms. Han told them: "There is nothing wrong with practicing Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." Gu Youqun replied: "You can commit murder or arson, but you cannot practice Falun Gong."

18. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lu Xiaohong Arrested and Her Nine-year-old Child Harassed

On October 14, 2009, the Liaocheng City CCP Political Security Committee and the 610 Office arrested Ms. Lu Xiaohong at home, using National Games security as an excuse. Ms. Lu's 9-year-old child was detained in a house near the District Courthouse for several days before he was released.

Ms. Lu's husband, who worked in the southern part of China as a migrant worker, provided the only income for the household. Since Ms. Lu was arrested, he had to quit his job so he could stay home to take care of their child. The family lost their only source of income and is living in poverty.
