(Clearwisdom.net) On November 29, the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) issued a statement applauding the Spanish court's decision to indict five high-ranking Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials for their crimes in the persecution of Falun Gong. WOIPFG also announced that the organization is ready to provide evidence of the CCP's crimes to the court. Below is the statement:

As the Chinese Communist Party still maintains its totalitarian regime in China, the Spanish court's decision to indict five culprits of the persecution of Falun Gong has set an example for the world. The World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong applauds the decision and is ready to provide evidence of the persecution to the court.

After World War II, international laws were formulated to stop crimes against humanity. Unfortunately, enacting laws has not kept such crimes from happening. Since the Chinese Communist Party came into power in 1949, over 80 million Chinese people have died unnaturally because of the regime's persecution campaigns and policies. In July 1999, the CCP, then headed by Jiang Zemin, launched an unprecedented persecution and genocide against Falun Gong practitioners. The persecution has lasted over 10 years so far, and the atrocities committed, including harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, have gone on unabated. The persecution has not been limited to China, as the regime has used money, diplomatic means and spies to infringe upon overseas Falun Gong practitioners' human rights. The persecution is a most severe challenge to universal values and morality. Facing crimes against humanity committed by a totalitarian regime, we must work together to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Since its establishment on January 20, 2003, WOIPFG has collected a great deal of evidence of the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong, which has been used in several dozen international lawsuits against CCP officials. We will continue to thoroughly investigate any crimes committed in the persecution of Falun Gong and strive to bring the perpetrators to justice.
