Mr. Zhang Lei was arrested at his workplace. His parents, wife and mother in law were also arrested at home next day and were sentenced to one year of forced labor.

Nov. 24

According to the CCP's law, any person older than 65 cannot be sentenced to forced labor. But Ms. Liu was once again sent into a forced labor camp. In 2005, she had been sentenced to one and a half year of forced labor, because she visited a fellow practitioner.

Nov. 25

Ms. Zhen Haiyan has been persecuted both with her husband before his death and afterward as she refuses to cooperate with the authorities in covering up his death.

Nov. 26

On October 7, 2009, the police broke into Mr. Li Dezhi's home and took his bank deposit certificates worth seventy thousand yuan as well as cash. When Mr. Li's wife tried to stop them, she was badly beaten.

Extreme methods have been used in Jilin Prison to demoralize a prisoner and ruin his reputation and health. Responsible inmates blame their behavior on orders from the prison administration.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Huang Lizhong died as a result of persecution on October 25, 2009, in Panjing Prison.

Nov. 28

Mr. Wang Shenlun was secretly and illegally sentenced. His family members who have inquired or protested have been harassed and arrested.
