Do Not Let the Persecution Wear Down Our Compassion and Mercy
(Clearwisdom.net) The persecution has been on going for the
last ten years. Some practitioners feels injured and resentful and
carry a grudge against the evil who started the persecution. They
may behave with outrage and an outburst of indignation at times,
and seldom show their mercy and compassion toward suffering
sentient beings.
I believe this is not a proper state for a cultivator. It
indicates one has fallen into the old forces' trap and achieved the
results that the old forces wanted. Even if one is fortunate enough
to survive the persecution in this state, he or she can only be
seen as a brave warrior in the change of a dynasty or regime. My understanding is that it is a matter of compassion and mercy
versus resentment and hate: It is the relationship between growth
and decline. Once we develop resentment and hate, compassion and
mercy will be buried and worn down. If, as Dafa practitioners, we
lose the power of compassion, then rectifying the Fa and saving
sentient beings becomes a task of an obedient disciple, but the
sacred nature [of the task] within will fall short, and the world's
people will view our opposition to the persecution with apathy.
They will not feel what Dafa practitioners are doing has anything
to do with them. Only when Dafa practitioners do not let the persecution wear
down their compassion and mercy, and with great compassion and
mercy rectify the Fa and save sentient beings--only then can they
move heaven and earth, humans and gods with their mighty virtue.
Only then can they move and save more of the world's people. Only then can we walk out of the state of outrage and
indignation and become radiant and mighty enlightened beings. This is my personal understanding; please kindly point out any
shortcomings.
