Greetings, fellow practitioners!
I feel great honor whenever I think about the title "Fa rectification period Dafa disciple." However, I feel unworthy of the title if I don't cultivate well. I thus try to encourage myself to do better so that I can live up to Teacher's compassionate salvation and the expectation of sentient beings!
In March 2006, I happened to come across Zhuan Falun when I was in the middle of dealing with my son's illness that modern medicine couldn't cure. On May 1, 2006, a practitioner paid us a visit to tell us about Dafa and to show us how to do the Falun Gong exercises. Motivated by the practitioner's enthusiasm and patience, I decided to practice Falun Gong. After that, my son and I began to study the Fa and do the exercises every day.
Not long after we began practicing, my son's sickness karma got worse, and the joints in his body swelled up, causing him much pain, and for two days, he wasn't able to eat anything. His condition continued to get worse. At that time, my family heard about my wanting my son to practice Falun Gong. Having been deceived by the Chinese Communist Party's lies about Falun Gong, my parents, my husband's parents, and my brothers and their wives all tried to stop me from cultivating, even threatening that they would report me to the Public Security Bureau.
Having practiced Falun Gong for only two weeks, I felt immense pressure and couldn't sleep at night. I didn't know what to do except to continue reading Zhuan Falun. I was attached to reading the Fa to eliminate karma. However, my son's condition remained the same for 20 days. Since he couldn't eat anything, his weight dropped to about 30 pounds for a nine-year-old boy. He cried all day and night due to the unbearable pain. I felt as if I was on the verge of breaking down.
One day while I was holding my son and reciting the Fa, with tears streaming down my face, I fell asleep and had a dream. A voice in my dream said, "I came to eliminate karma for the boy." Then I saw a big hand with a flame of fire burn my son's right arm from the bottom to the top. I woke up as the fire went out. My son was then able to move his right arm without pain. I came to understand that it was Teacher who helped eliminate karma for my son and that he wouldn't be in any danger. I felt relieved and became a more solid practitioner.
After more than a month of eliminating karma, my son felt better and he could eat again. Only his right arm was still in "critical" condition. Still, we both remained firm in our belief in Dafa. Although he was only nine years old at that time, and regardless of how much pain he felt, my son still insisted on learning the Fa and doing the exercises, and refused to take medicine. A year later, in August 2007, he regained his health.
Teacher and the Fa has given my son a healthy body again, helped us overcome a difficult situation, and led us to walk on the path of returning to our original, true selves. Being a practitioner is the greatest honor in my life, and I am determined to pass on the blessings of Dafa to more sentient beings. Thus, we have begun our commitment to validate the Fa.
Four months after my son and I began practicing Dafa, my husband also started practicing on his own initiative. During the time when our son was eliminating his sickness karma and our family members were against our practicing Falun Gong, he wasn't against us. His attitude was actually praiseworthy. His quiet consent was his way of supporting me. My husband is introverted and not eloquent, but as a practitioner, he's doing well good in cultivation, especially in improving xinxing. After reading "Cultivate Away Attachments to Sexual Desire" in the Minghui Weekly, my husband was able to let go of his human desire even though he had just began cultivating. He still follows this standard today.
Towards the end of 2007, within a period of just over two months, we lost our motorcycle and then our electric scooter. They were our only means of transportation to go to villages on weekends or holidays to distribute truth-clarification materials and tell people about Falun Dafa. What happened to us made us to look within ourselves to see if we had any loopholes that the old forces might be taking advantage of. Maybe Teacher noticed our pure hearts for saving sentient beings, because two weeks later, my husband's friend gave us an electric scooter. Then, two months later, we unexpectedly received 3,000 yuan. My first thought was to buy a new motorcycle to go to villages to save more people, so we immediately did just that. My husband wants to use the new motorcycle only for doing truth-clarification.
In my three years of cultivation, I often feel that Teacher has been taking care of me and encouraging me. Teacher has also helped me strengthen my righteous thoughts by arranging things that I should do, letting me meet people I should save, and providing whatever I should have in human society.
