(Clearwisdom.net) For the past ten years, the Chongqing City Rongchang County Police Station, 610 Office, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) committee secretary, and police station personnel from different villages and towns, along with the comprehensive management office, have persecuted several hundred local Falun Gong practitioners.

Those that have participated in the persecution include: Lei Tianming from Public Security Branch One; Yang Enpei; County politics and law committee secretary Li Yinjun; 610 Office head Jiang Shoujian; former politics and law committee Party secretary and members, including Wang Chengzhi, Liu Junquan, and Guo Rude; former politics and law committee Party assistant secretary and 610 Office heads Peng Zhengxuan and Li Xiufeng; former Rongchang County Party committee assistant secretary Li Junchen; and many others.

These CCP personnel have taken practitioners' tax payments, recklessly harassed and arrested them, confiscated their homes, extorted "guarantee bonds" from them, detained, tracked and monitored them, taken their photographs, taken their fingerprints, harassed them at home, held brainwashing sessions for them, shown them on TV against their will, and sentenced them to forced labor camps or prisons. They have persecuted over several hundred people. The following are brief summaries of the persecution of some of the practitioners.

Mr. Zhou Xinglong, over 60 years old, is retired from the Shuanghe Food Station in Rongchang County. He was arrested twice, on October 16, 2001 and February 14, 2003, by officers from the Shuanghe Police Station and then held at the Rongchang County Detention Center for one month on each occasion. This time, the police ransacked his residence, extorted 1,000 yuan from him, and then took him to a brainwashing center for four sessions.

Ms. Wu Deyin is also over 60 years old. She is a farmer from Guangshun Town, Rongchang County. In 2005, she went to the home of practitioner Qing Sanrong to watch a video, when officers from the Guangshun Town Police Station came to arrest Qing Sanrong. Ms. Wu was also arrested, held at the Rongchang County Detention Center for 15 days, then transferred to the Rongchang County Shihe Brainwashing Center for over 20 days. During the past ten years of persecution, police officials have harassed her, robbed her, and forced her to give her fingerprints and sign documents on all the so-called sensitive dates. On each occasion, over 10 officials threatened her with brainwashing center sessions and persecution if she didn't cooperate with the fingerprinting.

Ms. Zhong Shiyu is over 60 years old and a farmer from Guangshun Town, Rongchang County. Due to her firm belief in Falun Dafa, she refused to denounce the practice and was taken by officers from the Guangshun Town Police Station without any evidence or reason to the Rongchang County Liansheng Drug Rehabilitation Center for a month in 2002. Upon returning home, she was taken to the Guangshun Town station, detained for seven days, then transferred to the Rongchang County Detention Center and subjected to persecution for over 50 days. On October 22, 2002, she was arrested by CCP personnel and police officers from Guangshun Town and persecuted at the Shihe Brainwashing Center for over 40 days. In 2004 and 2005, officials took her to the Shihe Brainwashing Center for approximately a month during each of these years. They also forced her to pay a 200 yuan "guarantee bond." During these past ten years, police officers have harassed her on every "sensitive date," ransacked her home, and forced her to give her fingerprints and sign documents. Ms. Zhong was also threatened with brainwashing center sessions for failure to comply with fingerprinting. Whenever she was not at home, police officers forced her family to give their fingerprints and sign documents. Ms. Zhong was continuously harassed during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Ms. Lu Jingzhen is over 60 years old and a farmer from Guangshun Town, Rongchang County. Due to her firm belief in Falun Dafa and her refusal to denounce the practice, she was taken by officers from the Guangshun Town Police Station, without any evidence or reason, to the Rongchang County Liansheng Drug Rehabilitation Center, where she was held for over 20 days. On June 16, 2003, she was held in the Xujiagou Brainwashing Center of Rongchang County for 40 days. In 2004, she was taken again to the Shihe Brainwashing Center of Rongchang County for another 10 days. During the past ten years, police officers have harassed her on every "sensitive date," ransacked her home, and forced her to give her fingerprints and sign documents. Ms. Lu was also threatened with brainwashing center sessions for failure to comply with fingerprinting. On one occasion when officers wentto ransack her home, Ms. Lu ran outside, but the officers chased and caught her, and she was forcefully carried to a police vehicle. She was taken to the county police station, searched, forced to give her fingerprints, then allowed to return home.

Ms. Lai Changrong, over 60 years old, is also a farmer from Guangshun Town. She was illegally arrested four times. The first time, she was taken to the Liansheng Drug Rehabilitation Center of Rongchang County and held for 20 days. After she returned home, she was taken to the Guangshun Town station and detained for 7 days. She was arrested a second time by officers from Guangshun Town on June 16, 2003, and detained at Xujiagou Brainwashing Center for one month. Ms. Lai was the victim of fabricated evidence and arrested a third time for clarifying the truth to local citizens. She was held at the Rongchang County Detention Center for one month, but on the third day after her return, she was taken to the Shihe Brainwashing Center and persecuted for over 20 days.

Ms. Li Yingchun, over 20 years old, was arrested in April 2007 while explaining the truth to citizens. She was held at the Rongchang Detention Center for 15 days, while police officials ransacked her residence. Since returning home, she has endured long-term harassment by CCP staff and police officers.

Mr. Li Shu, over 30 years old, a farmer from Panlong Town, Rongchang County, was arrested by Panlong Town police officers on October 22, 2002, then detained at the Shihe Brainwashing Center for over 50 days.

Ms. Yang Jufang, over 70, is retired from the Rongchang County Supply Cooperative. She became destitute in order to avoid persecution beginning in May 12, 2001. During this time, Rongchang County CCP personnel and police officers harassed her family at home, ransacked her residence on several occasions, and forced her family to pressure her to return home. On November 12, 2001, officials from the Rongchang Police Station Branch One extorted a 5,000 yuan "guarantee bond" from Ms. Yang, then released her. In December 2001, she was persecuted again at the Shihe Brainwashing Center for over 10 days. On June 16, 2003, she was taken to the Xujiagou Brainwashing Center and held for over 50 days. While destitute, Ms. Yang lived at her younger sister's home in Fuling, Chongqing. Subsequently, Fuling 610 Office personnel extorted 5,000 yuan from her sister.

Ms. Luo Zaiyu, over 40 years old and a Rongchang County furniture manufacturer worker, became destitute to avoid persecution in November 2000. During that time, Rongchang CCP personnel and police officers harassed her and ransacked her home. On October 22, 2001, officers from the Changyuan Police Station took her to the Rongchang Police Station Branch One, then ransacked her residence and put her into the Rongchang County Detention Center for one month. Rongchang Police Station officials also extorted a 1,000 yuan "guarantee bond" from her, and detention center personnel extorted another 240 yuan for "living expenses." On October 22, 2001, she was taken to the Shihe Brainwashing Center and detained for over 20 days. Meanwhile, officers from the Rongchang Police Station Branch One ransacked her residence, and Rongchang 610 officers extorted 3,000 yuan from her. (Ms. Luo and her employer paid 1,500 yuan each.) On June 16, 2003, she was taken to the Xujiagou Brainwashing Center and held for over 50 days. Then, the Rongchang 610 Office extorted 2,500 yuan from her. (Ms. Luo and her employer paid 1250 yuan each.) On October 11, 2005, Rongchang Police Station officers arrested her at her workplace, while additional officers ransacked her residence. Then, Rongchang Police Station Branch One officials took her to the Shihe Brainwashing Center, where she was held for 3 days. Police and CCP personnel ransacked her home four times, and she's been harassed at home many times.

Ms. Tang Zeqiong, over 30 years old, from Fenggao Town, Rongchang County, was arrested by officers from the Rongchang Police Station Branch One on April 19, 2005, while she was working at a practitioner's store. Ms. Tang was taken to the Rongchang Detention Center and held for one month. On September 20, 2005, she was taken to the Shihe Brainwashing Center and detained for over 20 days.
