Karen said, "So fabulous, beyond what I expected. The costumes are phenomenal. They are really attractive to the eye. I can't take me eyes off them. The music is wonderful too."

Karen noted the special scenery. "That's a great part of the show. I like how they descend in the background and then the backdrop brings them right through to the audience. That's a really clever idea!"

Gayle shared her enjoyment, "The movement--I'm watching their feet--I've never seen such delicate movements, with their feet and their hands, and just the flow of the entire show. It's just absolutely--it just touches my heart. It's gorgeous, just gorgeous."

Gayle continued, "The story is just absolutely beautiful. It's just timeless. It's a very, very beautiful story."

Karen experienced something else special, "It's very moving. I keep hearing my heart just opening up and I feel like I'm going to cry sometimes. It's very beautiful."

Gayle added, "Absolutely, it's just beautiful. It just absolutely moves your heart!"

Ballerina: "Graceful, strong, vibrant, but at the same time very conservative"

A former ballet dancer, Theresa repeated that she loved Shen Yun. She was a ballet dancer for several years and now does financial counseling. She was enchanted with Shen Yun. "It's fabulous. I love it. I love it. I love it. Just the scenery, the costumes, the spacing is impeccable, the choreography is great. It's a great show."

"I think they are more graceful. It's a lot more culture, a lot more down to earth, a lot more vibrant," Theresa remarked.

She said the performance was "Graceful, strong, vibrant, but at the same time very conservative - just welcoming to all. I like that a lot."

Theresa spoke gravely about the dance "Heaven Awaits Us Despite Persecution." In it, a family suffers a grievous loss when the father, a Falun Dafa practitioner, is attacked by Communist party members. Ultimately, good triumphs. "The persecution in China is unfortunate, but I think it was just great for them to bring it out there and make it known. So just for us to see it was informative. I think that they should continue to do that."

With a melodious laugh, she asked the reporter to tell the performers, "I just want you to come back, come back, please come back."

"Just All Around Wonderful"

Ms. Fulwilder is a former graphic designer and a member of the Mohican Nation. She said, "For me it was like taking a trip through China and seeing all the array of different Chinese cultures according to the environments that they come from, and the impact that the environment has on a culture and all of the beauty of the culture." Dances from Mongolia, from Tibet, from the Yi people and more enrich the Shen Yun show.

"The culture is just very colorful, spiritual and I saw where there was a persecution of Dafa, so I was just trying to follow that. That message being portrayed in the performance-- I think I got it: That there was that struggle going on and that this performance is trying to educate people about [this] struggle and this performance is trying to bring back some of the elements that have been lost because of that struggle in the past, and it's still going on in China."

Ms. Fulwilder was impressed with the projected backdrops: "I thought they were beautiful and I liked the way that they brought ... the characters from the backdrops right into the performance. I just thought that was very three dimensional, very unique. I liked that very much."

She added, "I think it's educational, entertaining and just all around wonderful."
