(Clearwisdom.net) On the evening of April 8, 2009, the curtain dropped on the Shen Yun Performing Arts show to warm applause at the Edinburgh Playhouse in Scotland. Some audience members couldn't help their joy and were unwilling to leave even after three curtain calls. Many said they would certainly come to watch the Shen Yun show again next year.

The audience is captivated by the show

Lord Glasgow

Lord Glasgow is part of the all-party Chinese group in the House of Lords and has great interest in Chinese history and culture. "I find it incredibly skillful. I think that the artists are absolutely tremendous," said Lord Glasgow during the intermission. "The dancing and the choreography is absolutely incredible--it's completely breathtaking!" he said. "They are wonderful singers! Terrific!" he said of the soloists. He looked forward to seeing the Shen Yun show again next year.

Mr. Li Yao is a graduate student from China. As the audience left the theater after the show, he still paced around with a program brochure in hand, hoping to meet the artists of Shen Yun Performing Arts.

He told the reporter in excitement, "I bought a ticket to the Edinburgh show right after I watched the first Shen Yun show in London on March 3. When I was watching the first show, I didn't have a single distracting thought from the beginning to the end. I couldn't stop crying as soon as the show started. When I stood up for the standing ovation, I felt even my internal organs tingled as if shaken. It lasted a long time. And I felt my spirit was freed. Something was leading me. I could feel the power. My heart was shaken and carried away by the artists. It echoed with them. When I watched it today, I felt my head was empty as if it was purified. I rarely watched any shows when I was in China. The CCTV programs made me feel uncomfortable. I would switch the TV channel. I am sure Shen Yun will be popular around the world!"

Ms. Zhang Tiejun, Director of Shen Yun Performing Arts, happened to pass Mr. Li and the reporter. Li Yao told Ms. Zhang in excitement, "I had a dream I met the Shen Yun artists! After the show in London, it got into my mind. I believed I would be able to meet you this time!" Ms. Zhang kindly asked him, "Do you like dancing?" He said, "No, but I admire the artists of Shen Yun so much! I could tell they were very happy from the bottom of their hearts! Their skill is superb! Where are they from?" Ms. Zhang told him they were from many countries but many of them grew up in the U.S. They had worked very hard for this show. They would give shows in three more countries in Europe and hoped to see Li again. Li Yao said "Thank you" repeatedly.

Dance teacher Ms. Ann Robertson

Ms. Ann Robertson has been teaching dance for twenty years. She bought a ticket for the best seat in the theater so that she could watch the show from a close distance. She praised the wonderful dances and colors and said the whole show was great. Ms. Robertson loved the unique charm of classic Chinese dance. She had never seen such dancing before. She felt very fortunate and was surprised the show combined so many beautiful things.

Art teacher Ms. Odrian Taylor and her daughter, an art student

Ms. Odrian Taylor is an art teacher and her daughter is an art student. Both mother and daughter were excited by the show and gave it their highest score. Odrian said, "Absolutely wonderful! Absolutely elegant!" She liked all the dances and bright and beautiful colors. She couldn't believe the erhu, such a simple instrument, could play such beautiful music! She appreciated it very much. Her daughter said the show was filled with inspiration and she would like to learn more about Chinese culture.

Richard, a musician, and his wife Jane

Richard is a musician and his wife Jane used to be a dancer. They have traveled to many places, including China. When asked their thoughts about the show, Richard said three times, "Fantastic show! I really love it!" Jane put her hand below her eyes, "It made me cry."

Making the gesture of playing the erhu, Richard said he loved the erhu music and the singers. Jane added, "And dances! I like everything about the show!" Jane said the modern and the traditional culture were presented very well. Very thought-provoking! Richard added that it was very easy to understand every story. He wished he were Chinese!
