Ms. Guo Ruifeng from Jining City, Shandong Province, Died as a Result of Persecution

Ms. Guo Ruifeng, 63 years old, a Falun Gong practitioner from Jining City, Shandong Province, was retired from the Linen Textile Factory in Jining City. Since the beginning of the persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, she was constantly harassed by officers from the Zhongqu District Branch Police Station in Jining City. She was illegally detained twice at Jining Detention Center. She was force fed for over 20 days, which caused severe damage to her stomach.

In February 2002, Zhongqu District Branch Police Station and the 610 Office once again sent Ms. Guo to Jinan Women's Forced Labor Camp. The police told her family to pay 10,000 yuan. Since her family refused to pay, she was detained there for three months. Jinan Women's Forced Labor Camp brutally persecutes Falun Gong practitioners who will not renounce their belief with sleep deprivation, forced feeding, etc. Ms. Guo was persecuted for over three months there, and her weight dropped from 145 pounds to 81 pounds, and she had some difficulty walking and could not take care of herself. When she was near death, the police notified her family to pick her up.

In June 2002, Ms. Guo's husband, Liu Changyu, 72 years old, who formerly worked at Jining Institute of Education, was sentenced to five years by the Jining City 610 Office and the Zhongqu District Branch Police Station. They twice extorted 6,000 yuan from him and would not give him a receipt. He was persecuted in prison and suffered mental deterioration, hair loss, and severe memory loss. After getting out of prison, his pension of over two thousand yuan each month was denied by the Jining 610 Office. He no longer had any income and had to live on his wife's pension.

For a long time, local Party government officials in the Zhongqu District and the Jincheng District strictly monitored this couple. Ms. Guo sustained long-term mental and physical pressure and she could not recover. She passed away on March 19, 2009.

Mr. Guo Zhengpei from Hanchuan City, Hubei Province, Was Persecuted to Death.

Mr. Guo Zhengpei, 48 years old, a Falun Gong practitioner from Hanchuan City, Hubei Province, was persecuted regularly by the CCP since July 20, 1999. He died on April 25, 2009.

Mr. Guo was from Mamiao Village, Xinhe Town, Hanchuan City, Hubei Province. Before he practiced Falun Dafa, he had many kinds of illnesses, such as gallstones, prostatitis, liver cirrhosis, etc. From the time he began practicing in 1996, he strictly held himself to the principles of Falun Dafa, and all his illnesses disappeared.

On July 20, 1999, Jiang's regime began the persecution of Falun Dafa. On December 12, 1999, Mr. Guo was arrested at his work unit and detained at the No. 1 Detention Center in Hanchuan City. He was detained there for over half a year and suffered brutal beatings. His home was ransacked and the police extorted money from him.

On December 21, 2000, he was arrested again for appealing on behalf of Falun Gong. In the local police station, he was beaten by six strong officers using their fists and feet, a chair, a belt, handcuffs, etc. He threw up blood as a result of the beating. He was later given a three-year sentence by a CCP court and sent to Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang City. In order to make him give up his belief, the guards forced him to drill under extremely hot sun in the summer or carry bricks in brick kilns. Both of his hands were covered with bloody blisters. Once, they ordered several people to hang him up with his feet dangling in the air and then beat him. His body was covered with wounds and blood and flesh mixed together.

On February 18, 2004, Mr. Guo Zhengpei was arrested while he was working at the Dali Food Factory in Xinhe. He was taken to Shayang Forced Labor Camp, where he was brutally tortured until he could not get out of bed and then was taken to the hospital. He was diagnosed with tuberculosis and accumulation of water in the lungs. The hospital decided to operate on him the next day to take out the water.

The forced labor camp was afraid of him dying from the operation, so they notified his family to pick him up. After returning home, Mr. Guo continued to have no energy and kept losing weight each day. He passed away on April 25, 2009.
