(Clearwisdom.net) May 13, 2009 was the 10th World Falun Dafa Day. On behalf of the Canadian government, Prime Minister Stephen Harper sent greetings to the Falun Dafa Association of Canada and commended the association for sharing their practices and traditions with the public.

Prime Minister Harper said in the greeting letter, "I am pleased to extend my personal greetings to the Falun Dafa Association of Canada as you celebrate Falun Dafa Month.

"Canadians are blessed to live in a country that embraces the many cultures and traditions of the world. Canada draws tremendous strength from its democratic heritage. As Canadians, we are grateful for Canada's shared values of openness and tolerance and the freedom of conscience and religion, which honour our unparalleled diversity and the foundations of our democratic society.

"As you celebrate the 17th anniversary of the introduction of Falun Dafa to the public, I commend the Falun Dafa Association of Canada for sharing your practices and traditions with the public. On behalf of the Government of Canada, I extend my best wishes for a joyous and memorable celebration."

On the eve of the 10th World Falun Dafa Day, several Ministers and MPs sent greetings to Falun Gong practitioners, commended Falun Dafa and thanked Falun Gong practitioners for benefiting the society by spreading Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance around the world. They praised Falun Gong practitioners for their unyielding spirit in face of the Chinese Communist Party's persecution and their unremitting pursuit of human dignity.

The Ministers and MPs are Ministers John Baird and Lisa Raitt, MPs Jason Kenney, Gary Schellenberger, Glen Pearson, Barry Devolin and Andrew Kania.
