(Clearwisdom.net) As a government official and a Dafa practitioner, the more I have studied the Fa, the more righteous thoughts and more calm I have during the continuing process of Fa-rectification.
To explain the goodness of Falun Gong and expose the CCP's evil persecution to people I persisted in sending righteous thoughts at work or at a meeting and distributed Dafa material in a public area, including at a study area and or at a group gathering. Even though a public area might have surveillance cameras, I would distribute the material with caution.
Several work-office computers have access to the Internet. One day, I saw a leader checking a Hong Kong news website. He was complaining of the filtered news information from China's websites. I used this opportunity to introduce Freegate, a software program that thwarts the Chinese government's internet blockade. He was very interested. Finally, I downloaded the software and showed him how to use it. He was glad and thankful.
It might look like that I had just done someone a favor to get on the online using Freegate, but it actually provided a channel for people to know more facts. People would be shocked when they are able to access all kind of facts and information without being blocked by the Communist regime.
The above-mentioned incident gave me the idea to let more people have access through Freegate, but there were a lot of people at work whom I did not know because we did not have working connections. To overcome this problem, I volunteered as IT expert for the computer service, and I let my boss know that I am capable of fixing computer problems and they did not need to call an outside service. I would go wherever and whenever there was a need and fixed the problem right away. This created an opportunity for me to get to know more people at work. I then introduced them to Freegate software or downloaded Freegate software for them. This would allow them to assess the facts and might gradually lead them to open their minds, which the Party culture had dominated for a long time.
When I noticed that one of my colleagues had a satellite dish with access to NTDTV, I pretended to ask his advice for how to adjust the dish, and showed him the satellite parameters about NTDTV, and introduced it to him. I figured out that such pattern of knowing more people by offering my help or accepting other people's help worked out very well. I ended up getting closer to more people and clarified the truth to them.
At work I encountered some resistance from of co-workers and managers in accepting the facts. However, I wasn't discouraged and continued trying my best. As a result, Master arranged for more people come to me. For an example, I went on a business a trip with co-workers whom I normally didn't not work with. We stayed in the same hotel and had more time to chat in a relaxing atmosphere. I thought this was a good time to clarify the truth to them. I began the topics from the standpoint of an observer, talking about Falun Gong along with prediction stories and other cultivation stories. I downloaded many truth-clarification materials and stories. They were gradually changing their minds and had more acceptance of Falun Gong and their kindness and righteous thoughts were awakened.
When I saw reluctant faces, I would talk from a difference angle and let them know that I was on their side and considerate of their future, and avoided creating misunderstanding.

"While working, your tone of voice, your kindheartedness, and your reasoning can change a person's heart, whereas commands never could!" ("Clearheadedness" from Essentials for Further Advancement)
One of my fellow practitioners said that in the current state of the society one would pay more attention to a lump on his neck than the shocking news of forty earthquakes in a nearby state. If people feel our kindheartedness when we explain the facts to them, they will be touched. Although some of them may not agree to quit the CCP, they would start thinking and likely change their minds eventually.
In general, government officials' minds are full of politics and they pay great attention to society's situation. Therefore, starting from letting them know the facts such as the number of people who quit the CCP and that Falun Gong has spread to over one hundred countries would be an effective way. Once they understand these facts, it should be the time to bring up the topic of quitting the CCP to assure a safe life, and that Dafa plays the role of salvation. People all have a knowing side. Once he is convinced by the truth, he will change his attitude toward Falun Gong.
Once people know the truth they will be grateful and supportive, which will encourage Dafa practitioners to offer more people salvation. In order to convince more people, I have gathered Dafa material DVDs and compressed them into one DVD with contents of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, cultivation story and others. I made more than sixty copies. I also made a Dafa materials book with photos downloaded from the Minghui/Clearwisdom website. These materials opened a world to people. We will see the doubled effect if they accept these materials.
Master said, "I just don't believe their consciences are irretrievably lost." ("For the Good of the World") It is a long process to help people to understand the truth. We should continue to clarify the truth during the process, and let more people know the wonder of Dafa, to save more people.
