Taiwan: Experience Sharing Conference in Taipei Helps Practitioners Improve Together (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioners in northern Taiwan held an experience sharing conference in the Chientan Youth Activity Center from August 14 to 16, 2009. At dawn, over a thousand practitioners did the five exercises with the music on August 16. Soon after, the experience sharing session started.

Practitioners came from all over Taiwan, many of them with the whole family. Some of them just learned about Falun Gong two months ago, and some of them have been practicing for over ten years. Many shared about how they steadfastly improve themselves, some talked about how to better save people on a larger scale, and many more new practitioners understood the importance of the practice and saving people.

Bai Xue is from Vietnam. She married a man from Taiwan ten years ago and never learned any Chinese. Six months after she started reading Falun Dafa books, she could recognize 90 percent of the Chinese characters. She said that she got the wisdom from the teachings.

A while ago a car hit her from behind while she was riding a scooter. Another car also got hit in the accident. Everyone was injured except her. She believed the Teacher of Falun Dafa protected her.

One time a practitioner in Taiyuan invited the head of the Religious Division of the Civil Administration Bureau to a Falun Gong activity. The official looked unhappy after he was seated. The practitioner went up to greet him and the official asked, "If Falun Gong is so good, how come it is being suppressed in China?" The practitioner realized that the official did not understand the facts of the persecution and explained to him in detail what happened to practitioners in China. The official's expression of disrespect disappeared and he was moved to tears. From then on, every time the practitioner held an activity, the official would help by posting fliers whenever he could.

Practitioners realized that Clarifying the Truth is a key component that can enable people view Falun Gong rationally. These people will spread positive messages about Falun Dafa once they understand it.

Ms. Tsai has been going to the Taoyuan International Airport to tell arriving passengers from around the world the facts of the persecution. During the Deaf Olympics in Taipei, there was tension between security officers at the airport and practitioners. Ms. Tsai said that it made her see her attachment of fear and selfishness. She talked to the high level aviation police officers about the facts of Falun Dafa. The relationship between the officers and practitioners became harmonious again.

When tourists from China landed in Keelung, the northern tip of Taiwan, practitioners in Keelung held activities and tried to help them understand the facts of the persecution in China. A media did a fraudulent report on Falun Gong. Many practitioners talked to the media and had it correct its previous information in the TV report.

When practitioner held banners where tourists from China could see them, some police officers came to stop the practitioners. A police officer that is also a practitioner tried to clarify the facts of Falun Dafa to his supervisor. His supervisor told him that if he continued to do it, his career would be in jeopardy. The practitioner decided the let go of his human notions and to continue his truth-clarification efforts. After the tourists left, he was promoted.

Mr. Chen came from Miaoli. He said that, because he was young, he always wanted to have fun. Earlier this year he got extremely sick. Later he shouldered a lot of pressure from work. He became depressed and wanted to end his life. His mother encouraged him to read Fa.

Chen was suspicious at first, but after reading the book, he became a practitioner. When he made mistakes at work, he admitted his errors to the customers. Chen said that if he did not practice Falun Gong , he would have never admitted to his mistakes, and even if he did, he would have blamed the customers. He was able to face his mistakes following the principle of Truth-Compassion-Forbearance.
