(Clearwisdom.net) Arrested and sentenced to an eight-year prison term, Ms. Zhu Junxiu recounts below the torture she suffered:

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhu Junxiu from Chengdu City in Sichuan Province was employed with the Auditing division of the Qingyang District State Taxation Bureau in Chengdu City. She was arrested and detained many times by CCP (Chinese Communist Party) minions and brutally tortured. As a result, her mind and body were severely injured. Her financial losses are estimated to be several million yuan.

On November 8, 2005, she went to the Jinniu District Procuratorate to demand the return of 200,000 yuan in cash, one new car and other personal belongings that had been confiscated by officers. She ended up being arrested. Staff employed by the Jinniu Procuratorate and court, all minions of the CCP, fabricated evidence against her. They used said evidence to illegally sentence her to an eight year prison term. During her detention, she was tortured and near death. Finally, she was released on November 1, 2006 and picked up by her family.

To escape being arrested again, Ms. Zhu left home. Once the CCP officers from Jinniu District Police Bureau discovered that Ms. Zhu had left home, they sent our many police to find her. Groups of them lied in wait at Ms. Zhu's relatives', friends' and neighbors homes. They left no leaf unturned to track her down.

Below, please find Ms. Zhu' account of the persecution she and her family suffered.

Arrested Because I Asked for the Return of Confiscated Items

On November 8, 2005, I went with my husband to Jinniu District Procuratorate to demand the return of 200,000 yuan in cash, a new car and other personal belongings that had been confiscated by local officers. The police did not give me a list of the items they confiscated. Qin, the person in charge at the Public Appeal Department asked me to give him a few seconds. He then called the 610 Office at the district police bureau to come and arrest me. Four people, three males and one female, pulled me to the ground and carried me to their vehicle that was parked in the basement near the elevator. I was very weak, as I had been released from prison just a little over a month prior. My husband had to carry me on his back as I was too weak to walk. When they arrested me he had just gone downstairs to pick up some materials.

That afternoon, I was taken to Chengdu City Detention Center. I was very weak and couldn't eat. I spit up everything I tried to eat. I was emaciated and had lost the ability to take care of myself. Two inmates took care of me. I often fainted.

Police, Procuratorate and Court Fabricate Evidence

Despite my physical condition, staff from the Jinniu District Procuratorate and Court fabricated false evidence against me. On March 16, 2006, they convened a secret trial. I was carried on the back of an inmate to the proceedings. I could not stand and had to hold on to a leather coach and felt very weak. Only my husband was allowed into the court, but he was not allowed to speak. They read a verdict that had been prepared beforehand and contained the lies fabricated by the Procuratorate.

During the trial, nothing that resembled the truth was brought out. There was no discussion or confrontation, no witness or testimony. I was not allowed to speak or defend myself. The presiding judge said about the transcript of the proceedings, "Don't give her to sign it." I used all the strength I could master and said, "I'm innocent. I'm a victim who was sentenced to an eight year term. Where is the openness, justice, or fairness?" In the end, the presiding judge whispered: "I have no choice."

The verdict could not see the light of day. The document was all lies. For example, they even fabricated the time -- June 2002. How could they now what I did at that time, they couldn't have known what I was doing at that time. On April 23, 2002, I fell from the seventh floor and I was severely injured. Many of my bones were fractured, including my heel bone. At the time, I was in a coma for a few hours. I had a big hole on the back of my head with blood running for a few hours. Later, I asked my family members to take me home, out of the concern that if I were hospitalized at Qingyang District Hospital, I would have been arrested again. I couldn't take care of myself and was bed-ridden. I couldn't even turn without assistance. I was bed-ridden for four months. Everyone living in my neighborhood is aware of my situation.

Being very weak, I began to appeal to the court. I asked my family to hire a lawyer to defend me and plead not guilty. I wrote my appeal letter and mailed it to the attorney and court.

After researching, investigating, analyzing, procuring evidence and other important tasks, the lawyer began gained a deeper understanding of my case. Once he had become familiar with the evidence impacting the case, he considered a not guilty plea to be well documented and the evidence solid. The lawyer had collected the evidence, such as the CT scan from the Qingyang District Hospital and the report about my injuries singed by the doctor in attendance. He also procured the prescription with the doctor's signature, a receipt from the hospital for the hospitalization charge of about 2,000 yuan, proof of being admitted and discharged from the hospital, and other evidence. However, despite the solid evidence, the Chengdu City Medium Court refused to admit it in court and he lawyer could not defend me. They tried their best to stop my lawyer from defending me. They also threatened him with having the Justice Bureau cancel his attorney license. My lawyer said, "I am only fulfilling my duty as a lawyer. I'm honest and I didn't do anything wrong." The Middle Court refused to accept any evidence that supported my not-guilty plea. They didn't open another trial but upheld the original sentence.

Inhuman Torture

The 610 Office in the Jinniu District Police Bureau inhumanly tortured me three times. On November 14, 2000, they arrested me, and then they teamed up with the No.1 Division of the Municipal Police Bureau to persecute me. They detained me in different places. No matter where, I was beaten on both sides of my head. Two times I was beaten so brutally that I fainted. After that, they detained me in a cell at a very remote police station in a rural area. It was a dark cell of 2.5 square meters, made of concrete and just like a dark box. There were no windows, or daylight. It was an isolation cell inside a larger cell. There were only a few very small holes on the ceiling for air inflow and outflow. There was urine and human excrements everywhere. It was snowing already, but they gave me only a small blanket for sleeping on the ground. I was not allowed to wash my face, comb my hair, brush my teeth, change clothes, or use the bathroom for more than 40 days. Then, I was taken to Nanmusi Forced Labor Camp where I was held for nearly one year. I suffered inhuman torture all of that time.

At the end of September 2002, without producing any evidence, the Jinniu District Police Bureau arrested my husband and two employees in our company. They took us to a secret place, where they cruelly tortured us to force confession. What we suffered is too terrible to describe. They suspected something, but even after nine-month of audits, they couldn't find anything wrong. They should have released us. Instead, they destroyed my husband's company and factory which were doing very well. They confiscated all company assets, resulting in financial losses of tens of million yuan. They burned the accounting books, reports, certificates, management materials, stamps, taxation registration certificate, license, accounts receivable proof of 2.7 million yuan, the interruption and then cancellation of an installation project of a few million yuan and so on. My husband was sentenced to three years of forced labor. He was tortured, developed severe heart trouble and was near death. Our two employees were sentenced to two years of forced labor. I suffered torture in a prison.

After July 8, 2005, when I was arrested, the person in charge of the Public Appeal Department in Jinniu District Procuratorate said, "I didn't want to torture her any more. But, she dared to ask for the money back! "I was tortured at the detention center to the point that I couldn't even drink any water.

In mid-October, 2006, I was taken to the Qingyang District Hospital, where I also suffered inhuman torture. The bed was custom-made and especially-long. Two to three foot shackles with nine heavy steel bars that were put on me were also fixed to the bed. The foot shackles were not removed when I went to use the toilet. I opposed the persecution, so they put two short handcuffs on me and arranged it so my entire body was stretched out. The joint in my left shoulder dislocated. They didn't allow me to talk and used a dirty clothesdipped with urine to cover my mouth.

A policeman with the surname of Peng was in charge of having me tortured. Since July 20, 1999, he has been there torturing practitioners. I was given unknown injections around the clock. I again was tortured to the brink of death. Then they released me.

After I returned home, people from the local police substation of the Qingyang District Police Sub-Bureau and local community management committee kept harassing me. They put me under a lot of pressure. I couldn't eat or sleep well and I was petrified. I felt as if I would be taken away again any time. Therefore, I decided to become homeless.

Later, I was told that officers searched everywhere for me. They also went to my relatives' homes and even hid in that vicinity in case I would show up. They also went to other practitioners' homes to track me down. I think that those officers were from either the Qingyang District or Jinniu District.
