(Clearwisdom.net) I lost my job when the company I worked for went bankrupt, and I went to an employment agency to find another job. One morning I arrived there late, so I missed the people who hire workers. I then took a bag of truth-clarifying materials and went to the countryside. As I was not quite familiar with the surrounding area, the police noticed me when I had finished distributing half of the materials. They arrested me and took me to the police station. This thought was clear in my mind: As a Dafa practitioner, I came here to save sentient beings, no matter what the circumstances might be. While the policeman who arrested me was making a phone call, I took the opportunity to explain the facts about Falun Gong to other officers. Most of them just smiled and remained silent.

Within half an hour, I was taken to the county detention center. Most of the detainees there were young people. I spent a sleepless night with them. Throughout the night I was looking inside to find my shortcomings. I was determined to keep secret the identities of fellow practitioners who had contact with me and I thought about how to save the sentient beings in my cell.

The next morning, officials from the local 610 Office interrogated me. They threatened me and said, "If you don't tell the truth, we will send you to the labor camp." I was very calm and clarified the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution. I also talked about the principle of "good is rewarded with good and evil is rewarded with evil." They asked me where I lived, but I didn't tell them. As they didn't get the answers they wanted, they finally sent me back to the cell.

On the same day, a fellow practitioner was taken to the cell where I was detained. We felt like old friends on first sight. We encouraged each other to do the three things required of us by Teacher and Dafa, even though we were in jail. When we thought of Teacher, we felt that we were strengthened by a tremendously huge energy. In the meantime, we built greater confidence in each other and let go of much fear. We cooperated together while clarifying the truth to the detainees. While one of us was speaking, the other sent forth righteous thoughts. We also practiced the exercise movements in the cell. One week later, the jail guard separated us into two different cells.

Officials from the local 610 Office was preparing to send me to a forced labor camp. Several days later, the jail doctor said I would be taken to the hospital for a physical examination. As I stepped out of the cell, I shouted loudly, "Falun Dafa is good! Zhen-Shan-Ren (Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance) is good." I shouted like this all the way to the hospital. I also similarly shouted on my way back to the detention center. One jail guard talked to me on the way. I said, "Let me help you quit the CCP by using a nickname." He didn't object to this offer. In the following several days, they frequently asked me to sign a document or put my fingerprints on a guarantee statement. I never cooperated with them, but did use those encounters as opportunities to persuade them to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

When I had been detained there for over 60 days, I was taken to the Armed Police Force Hospital, where I underwent a physical examination. They took me to the labor camp as soon as the results came back. The officials in the labor camp reviewed the results and said, "Hepatitis, high blood pressure--we cannot accept him." The jail guard had no choice but to notify my family to pick me up.

During the two months while I was detained in the detention center, I successfully persuaded 22 people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations (twelve people quit the CCP, two quit the Youth League and eight quit the Young Pioneers). My experience just validated Teacher's poem,

"If thoughts are righteous,
evil will collapse."
