(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 24 cities or counties and 14 provinces. In this report, 19 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 20 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Li Mei Held in a Brainwashing Center
On June 12, 2009, Ms. Li Mei, a lawyer that used to work at the Hefei Intermediate Court in Anhui Province, was arrested by officials from the Hefei 610 Office, the Shushan District 610 Office, and the Hefei Intermediate Court and was sentenced to one year of forced labor. On July 26, 2009, she was transferred from the camp to a brainwashing center.
2. [Anxin County, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Qiang Arrested
On September 1, 2009, Mr. Wang Qiang, a resident at the Yongan District in the downtown area of Anxin County, was arrested by officials from the Baoding Police Station and the Anxin Police Station.
3. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Zhiqiu Tortured at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp
On July 16, 2008, Ms. Li Zhiqiu, formerly employed by the Foreign Treading Company in Huanren County, was arrested by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials using the Olympic Games as an excuse. On September 3, 2009, she was secretly sentenced to two years of forced labor by the Huanren Court. She is detained in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. As a result of being tortured, she has lost almost all her teeth and has become emaciated.
4. [Liaoyuan City, Liaoning Province] Additional Information on the Persecution of Five Practitioners
On August 7, 2009, Mr. Zhen Decai from Liaoyuan City was taken to Baiquan Forced Labor Camp in Liaoyuan City for one year.
On August 13, 2009, Mr. Ai Lihua, 56 years of age, from Chedao Village, Anshu County, was unlawfully detained in Baiquan Forced Labor Camp for a one-year term.
On August 13, 2009, Mr. Wu Changqing, 30, from Weibin Village, Weijin Town, Dongliao County, was taken to Baiquan Forced Labor Camp for one year.
On August 13, 2009, Mr. Wu Changchun, 30, from Weibin Village in Weijin Town, Dongliao County, was taken to Baiquan Forced Labor Camp for one year.
On August 19, 2009, Ms. Sun Min, 48, from Weijin Town, Dongliao County, was taken to Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp to serve a one-year term.
5. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
On September 3, 2009, Ms. Xiaofan, Mr. Zhao Guizhong, and Ms. Zong Xiuyun were reported to the police for telling people the facts about Falun Dafa in public. They were then arrested and taken to the Dehui Detention Center.
6. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Yuhua and Her Younger Sister Arrested
On September 2, 2009, Ms. Zhang Yuhua and her younger sister, both from Jinzhou City, were reported to the police when they were clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa on Hangzhou Street. They were arrested and held in the Jinzhou Detention Center for ten days.
7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp Extended Ms. Dang Baofen's Sentence
Ms. Dang Baofen was sentenced to one year of forced labor and held in Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp. She was due to be released on August 19, 2009, but camp officials arbitrarily extended her term by 15 days.
8. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Minghua Police Station Persecuted Mr. Gao Yufeng
At approximately 5:00 a.m. on July 19, 2009, over a dozen officers from the Huadian Police Station of Jilin Province broke into Mr. Gao Yufeng's house and confiscated his personal property, including Dafa materials, silver coins, and other valuables. They arrested Mr. Gao and held him in the Huadian Detention Center.
9. [Zhalantun City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Zhang Fenglan's Home Broken Into
In early September 2009, police officers from Zhalantun City broke into Ms. Zhang Fenglan's home and confiscated her husband's mobile phone.
10. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Cong Jianfen Arrested
In the afternoon on July 30, 2009, Ms. Cong Jianfen, 52, and Ms. Lu Zhongxia, 38, from Banangu Village of Hantingkaiyuan Street were arrested when they were telling people the facts about Falun Dafa and held in the Weifang Detention Center. They have now been transferred to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp.
11. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Tian and His Wife Arrested
At approximately 7:00 p.m. on September 2, 2009, over ten officers from the Lianxi Police Station went to Mr. Tian's home and arrested him and his wife and detained them in the No.1 Detention Center.
12. [Nanpi County, Hebei Province] Ms. Huang Xiuling and Ms. Zhang Qingrong Arrested
At approximately 7:00 a.m. on September 5, 2009, Ms. Huang Xiuling and Ms. Zhang Qingrong from Nanpi County were arrested in their home by officers from the Nanpi Police Station.

13. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Wenguang Arrested
In June 2009, Mr. Li Wenguang from Gonggu Village in Xushui County, Baoding City, was arrested. His current whereabouts is unknown.
14. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Jing Ying Arrested
At approximately 2:00 p.m. on September 3, 2009, Ms. Jing Ying from Beipeng Village in Xushui County, Baoding City, was arrested in her home by local CCP officials in Caohe Town. Her whereabouts is unknown. She had just been released from Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp a few months before.
15. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Zhiqin Arrested
On August 31, 2009, Ms. Zhiqin, a teacher in a middle school in Shanxi Province, was arrested in her home.
16. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wu Shunzhen Subjected to One Year of Forced Labor
On the evening of July 23, 2009, Ms. Wu Shunzhen from Nanjing City was arrested. On July 29, 2009, she was sentenced to one year of forced labor by the Huaqiao Road Police Station in Nanjing City and taken to Xiangsu Women's Forced Labor Camp.
17. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Chen Yanyan and Mr. Xu Wei Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Chen Yanyan was sentenced to seven years in prison and Mr. Xu Wei was sentenced to one and a half years in prison.
18. [Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Mo Lirong Arrested
In the morning on September 3, 2009, Ms. Mo Lirong from Xinqiao Town of Zhaoqing City was arrested and taken to Sanshui Forced Labor Camp.
19. [Yiyang City, Hunan Province] Mr. Zhao Zhidong and His Wife, Ms. Xia Guangkai, Arrested
At approximately 10:00 a.m. on August 24, 2009, over ten police officers went to Mr. Zhao Hiding's home. They confiscated personal belongings, including three copies of Zhuan Falun, and arrested the couple. They are now in the Taojiang Detention Center.

20. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Lian Xinqun Persecuted at the Tianhe Detention Center in Guangzhou City
Mr. Lian Xinqun from the Tianhe District of Guangzhou City was forced to wear handcuffs and shackles twice because he refused to cooperate. Early in September 2008, he was put in handcuffs and shackles for over 60 hours because he had been doing the Falun Gong exercises. From February 20 to March 19, 2009, he was forced to wear handcuffs and shackles that were connected by a chain (this keeps the person from standing up straight or sleeping or eating properly). Guard Liu implemented this torture because Mr. Lian refused to report in a squatting position. During that month Mr. Lian had to bend his whole body to sit, which was very painful. On March 3, 2009, he put in handcuffs to be taken to a hearing in the Tianhe District Court.
21. [Mianzhu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xu Zhichun and Ms. Xu Zexiu Persecuted
In the afternoon on September 2, 2009, Ms. Xu Zhichun and Ms. Xu Zexiu from Mianzhu City were reported while they were telling people the facts about Falun Dafa and helping them withdraw from the CCP in Xinglong Town, Mianzhu City. They were then arrested by officers from the Xinglong Town Police Station and taken to the Mianzhu Detention Center. The police also ransacked their homes.
22. [Xishui County, Hubei Province] Mr. Huang Zhongwen Arrested
In August 2009, Mr. Huang Zhongwen from Daling Town, Xishui County, was arrested at the Wuhan Restaurant.
23. [Chongqing City] Supplementary Information on the Persecution of Ms. Yao Suhui from the Shapingba District Jialing Factory
Ms. Yao Suhui, 53, is a resident of Zhiyuan Village of the Jialing Factory. She was working at the Shapingba District Jialing Factory, Chongqing City. At approximately 3:00 p.m. on August 28, 2009, she was arrested in her home by officers from the Zhanjiaxi Police Station. She is now in the Baihelin Detention Center.
24. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Hao Jingjing Persecuted
Ms. Hao Jingjing was sentenced to three and a half years in prison by the Songshan District Court in Chifeng City and was taken to Neimenggu Women's Prison. She was separated from her daughter, who is only a little over a year old.

25. [Nanping City, Fujian Province] Ms. Ling Meifang Subjected to Forced Labor
On approximately July 26, 2009, Ms. Ling Meifang from Nanping City was arrested when she was explaining the truth about Falun Gong on the train. She was taken to the No.1 Hefei Detention Center in Anhui Province and sentenced to one year of forced labor. She is now in the Hefei Forced Labor Camp.
26. [Taigu County, Shanxi Province] Mr. Li Shihe and Ms. Yang Meiqin Arrested
Mr. Li Shihe and Ms. Yang Meiqin were arrested by officers from the Taigu Police Station in Shanxi Province.
27. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms Wu Meili Arrested
At noon on September 3, 2009, Ms. Wu Meili, over 60 years old, was arrested by officers from the Huanghelou Police Station when she was talking to people about Falun Gong. She is being detained in Erzhigou Women's Forced Labor Camp.
