(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities and counties in 10 provinces. In this report, 15 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 16 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Liuan City, Anhui Province] Mr. Li Tianjing Injected with Unknown Drugs and No Longer Able to Walk
On July 18, 2009, Mr. Li Tianjing was secretly arrested by police officers from Liuan City of Anhui Province and detained in the Shouxian Detention Center. He protested the persecution by going on a hunger strike for more than one month. Currently, officials from the detention center refused to let his family visit him.
Mr. Li Tianjing was taken to the Chinese Medicine Hospital in Shou County every day and was injected with unknown drugs. Currently, he is unable to walk due to these injections.

2. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Kan Yuehong Transferred to Yingkou Detention Center
On July 19, 2009, Mr. Kan Yuehong, who was working in the Cigarette factory in Yingkou City, was arrested by officers of the Jianfeng Police Station while clarifying the truth. His home was also ransacked. He was being detained in the Yingkou Detention Center for further maltreatment.

3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Chen Xinye Detained in the Kangjiashan Prison in Shenyang City on August 10, 2009
4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yu Shengquan Imprisoned
In October 2005, Mr. Yu Shengquan, 62, who worked at the Agricultural bank in Harbin City, was arrested and his home ransacked. He was sentenced to five years in prison. In 2006, he was transferred to the Hulan Prison. In November 2006, he was moved to the Daqing Prison. Later he was illegally fired from his job at the bank.
5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Additional Information on the Maltreatment of Mr. Yu Fangling
On the morning of July 24, Mr. Yu Fangling was arrested by officers from the Hongqi Town Police Station of Ganjingzi District in Dalian City, while hanging up a banner. He was beaten brutally when he was held in the Hongqi Town Police Station and later transferred to the Police Station in the Shahekou District in Dalian City. During that afternoon his home was ransacked as well.
6. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yu Lirui Arrested in Her Home
On August 20, 2009, five police officers from the Qiaoxi District Police Station in Zhijiazhuang City broke into Ms. Yu Lirui's home and arrested her.
7. [Tangshan City, Hebei Privince] Mr. Li Chenghua Arrested
At approximately 7:00 p.m. on August 5, 2009, a police officer asked Mr. Li Chenghua, who was selling popcorn in the market, for truth clarification materials. Mr. Li clarified the truth to him and gave him some materials. After a while this police officer brought seven or eight policemen with him and arrested Mr. Li Chenghua. At 8:00 p.m. they ransacked Mr. Li's home and took two CDs with them. Later, they detained Mr. Li in the Fengrun District Detention Center. On August 19, he was sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp and transferred to the Kaiping Forced Labor Camp in Tangshan City and subjected to additional abuse.
8. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Hao Yanling Arrested
In January 2008, Ms. Hao Yanling, her elder brother and another practitioner were arrested by police officers in Beijing. Their personal property in their apartments were confiscated. They were held in the Fengtai Detention Center for ten months and later sentenced to three years in prison.
9. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Chen Zhenhong Arrested
On the afternoon of August 11, 2009, Mr. Chen Zhenhong from Hezhen Town of Jinyun County in Zhejiang Province, was arrested by police officer Liu Zhaofa and many more from the Hezhen Town Police Station. The police also ransacked his home and confiscated truth clarification materials, a computer and so on. Currently, he is detained in the Jinyun Detention Center for further maltreatment.

10. [Xuchang City, Henan Province] Ms. Dong Yingfang Persecuted
In 2007, Ms. Dong Yingfang was arrested by police officers from Xuchang City of Henan Province and taken to the Shibalihe Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zhengzhou City, where they held her for one year. After her release she has been monitored by police officers Sun Linuo, from the Weidu District Police Station in Xuchang City, Li Yong from the Dongguanqiaotou Police Station and Zhang Pingli from the Wenfeng District Community. They went to Ms. Dong's home to harass and threaten her. They also went to her daughter's workplace and threatened her and disrupted her work. Her daughter has now lost her job and is forced to stay at home.
11. [Chongqing City] Ms. Fang Min Sent to Forced Labor Camp
On August 7, 2009, Ms. Fang Min was taken by the police to the Women's Forced Labor Camp in Chongqing City with the help of her son Chen Fangjun and her husband Chen Jihua. The husband and son have either been deceived by the Communist regime's propaganda into opposing Falun Gong or are afraid of standing up against the persecution.

12. [Changsha City, Huan Province] Mr. Wu Limin and His Wife Ms. Zhang Lihui Sent to Forced Labor Camp
August 1, 2009, Mr. Wu Limin and his wife Ms. Zhang Lihui from Changsha City were arrested while delivering truth-clarification materials in a county village of Wangcheng County. They were detained in the Wangcheng Detention Center.
August 16, Mr. Wu and his wife were transferred separately to the Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp in Changsa City and the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City, respectively.
13. [Jinsha County, Guizhou Province] Ms. Xiaoxiao Tortured by Police
Ms. Xiaoxiao and Ms. Shenshen from Jinsha County of Guizhou Province, were reported by someone of the local community and arrested by officials from the Jinsha Police Station. The police tortured Ms. Xiaoxiao by inserting bamboo sticks under her fingernails. Ms. Shenshen escaped and is currently forced to be homeless to avoid further persecution.
14. [Liangshan State, Sichuan Province] Mr. Gao Guangchong Suffered Dementia Due to Torture
On August 16, 2009, Mr. Gao Giangchong from Huili County of Liangshan State in Sichuan Province, was released on bail for medical treatment by officials from the Wumaping Prison. Currently, he is suffering from dementia due to his maltreatment and sometimes relieves himself involuntarily.
15. [Xinjing County, Henan Province] Additional Information on Mr. Wang Ruihai's Arrest
On August 15, 2009, Mr. Wang Ruihai, from the Shuangjiang Village of Gaoqiao Town in Xinjing County, was traveling by train to return home. When taking off from Shaoyang City's Train Station, he was searched and they found him carrying Dafa books. He then was arrested in Shaoynag City.
Mr. Wang's personal property was confiscated, including 6000 yuan in cash, a notebook computer, Dafa books and an MP4 player. Police officers from Xinjing county went into his home, confiscated his personal belongings, including a television, VCD player, computer, printer and other items. Mr. Wang is now detained in the Xinjing Detention Center in Henan Province and his family is not allowed to visit him.
16. [Chongqing City] Mr. Liu Zhihai Arrested
On August 20, 2009, Mr. Liu Zhihai from Duzhou Town of Changshou District, in Chongqing City, was arrested by a group of police officers who were hiding outside his home. He is currently detained in the Changshou Detention Center and his home was ransacked.

17. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Xuesong Arrested by Local Police Officers on July 20, 2009

On August 14, 2009, Mr. Li Shuwen (a teacher), from Jianchang County in Huludao City, was arrested in his home by Yang Mingkuan, chief of the Domestic Security Division. They also ransacked his home and confiscated a notebook computer. He was later detained in the Huludao Detention Center.

19. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Huifang's Whereabouts Unknown After Being Arrested
On June 26, 2009, officials of the Dongda Court of Shenyang City in Liaoning Province held an illegal trial for Ms. Zhang Zhiqin and Ms. Chu Zhimei. Plainclothes officers arrested Ms. Liu Huifang and many more practitioners outside of the court. They were detained in the Dadong District Taochang Police Station.
Ms. Liu Huifang, who is in her fifties, did the exercises to protest being arrested. For this she was locked up in a small steel cell and not allowed to eat, drink or use the bathroom. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

20. [Shan County, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
At approximately 11:00 a.m. on August 20, 2009, Ms. Meng Qingmei, Ms. Liu Yumei, Ms. Xiaoqing and other practitioners were arrested at Ms. Meng's home, who lives in Dongguan District. They were taken to Heze for further persecution.
21. [Yingyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Gao Shangrong, Ms. Chunying and Ms. Che Xiuying Arrested
Police officers from Guangwu Town Police Station in Yingyang City arrested Ms. Gao Shangrong, Ms. Chunying and Ms. Che Xiuying on August 6, 2009.
22. [Chongqing City] Ms. Qin Yulian Arrested
On August 16, 2009, Ms. Qin Yulian from the Yongchuan District of Chongqing City, was reported while clarifying the truth on the street. She was then arrested by officers from the Xida Street Police Station and held in the Wangchengpo Detention Center for further persecution.
23. [Rongcheng City, Gansu Province] Ms. Sun Ailing Sentenced to Two Years in Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Sun Ailing, 59, returned to her hometown Huangshankou Village of Gangxi Town in Rongcheng City of Shandong Province. On June 16, 2009, she was reported while clarifying the truth at the Zhoujia Village market. She was then arrested by officials from the Gangxi Town Police Station and held in the Rongcheng Detention Center. On July 28, she was sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp and was transferred to the Wangcong Forced labor Camp for further persecution.

24. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Mu Xiulian Sentenced to One and a Half Years in a Forced Labor Camp
On July 10, 2009, Ms. Mu Xiulian was reported while clarifying the truth at the Shangchuang market in Rongcheng City. She was then arrested by Xing Jianping, a police officer from the Domestic Security Division of the Rongcheng Police Station in cooperation with the 610 Office. She was held in the Rongcheng Detention Center, while her home was ransacked.
On July 28, Ms. Mu was sentenced to one and a half years in a forced labor camp and taken to the Wangcong Forced Labor Camp.

25. [Luquan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xing Yuehua Arrested by Dahe Town Police Station
At noon on July 8, 2009, a group of police officers from the Dahe Town Police Station in Luquan City of Hebei Province, broke into Ms. Xing Yuehua's home and confiscated her personal property and then arrested her. The following day she was taken to the Luquan Detention Center and held there for 15 days.
